CMLL FSE GdR - 12/02/07 (#66)
Recap: 12/05/07

Intro: Negro Casas is shopping for masks, and the announcers interrupt him. We take a look at Sangre Azteca and Ultimo Dragon masks, which eventually alerts me that they're on this show and I've had a very wrong semifinal listed for this show for about a month. I have no idea what that was about. Black Warrior is fired up in his promo.

Match 1: Misterioso II (c), Ohara, Okumura vs Maximo, Stuka Jr., Valiente (c)
Arena Coliseo, 11/04/07

  1. tecnicos
  2. rudos
  3. rudos

Winner: Rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 11:47
Approx Rating: Handled disaster as well they've done in midcard match - it didn't fall apart.
Other Match Notes: Dubbed intros. Ohara has his title belt and sword. Misterioso talks about Maximo in his promo. Valiente's the captain? Even better (though we miss most of it), Mima Shimoda is out with the Japanese and tries to shove Valiente around, but Valiente gives her the big kiss. He's a talented man to kiss someone thru his mask.

1: Mima is ordered to leave and Ohara almost goes with her. Long, basic mat sequences with Okumura and Stuka and then Ohara/Maximo goofiness. Misterioso and Valiente are quicker to the point, but to a fault - this is the match where Valiente slips on the double jump moonsault to the floor. It's not as bad as it sounds. Valiente gets no spring off the middle rope and tumbles to the floor, but is able to somewhat control his fall by grabbing onto the top rope as he goes over. If you watch it in super slow motion, you can see the middle rope move down before Valiente jumps on it; either Maximo or Stuka must've jumped on it a microsecond ahead of Valiente, and Valiente loses his footing. His right side hits the apron the way down, and he lands on his back from there. His right elbow must've hit the mat hard, because that's what he grabs. Guys in the ring go straight to the finish, which probably was the plan to start with. Maximo gets a double jump butt bump on Okumura, and rushes out of the ring to check on his partner while Stuka finishes Ohara with a springboard reverse tope (and a boot on the face.) Stuka looks out of the ring, then stays into pose. The doctor is working on untying Valiente's mask, but he seems responsive and communicating. Replay of the dive gone wrong - if Valiente doesn't grab the top rope to change his fall, he might have been in a world of trouble. Looks like he might have jammed his left shoulder on the apron on the way down.

As usual, the rudos try to attack Valiente as he's being stretched out, and the tecnicos have to fight them off. After Valiente's stretched out, rudos beatdown the other two.

2: Beatdown continues. Stuka's held for punches. Maximo gets a double gutbuster, and pinned. Overhead belly to belly for Stuka. Half crab, and he's done. Rudos stomp him, but stop when warned. That was quick, but I guess it might as well be if they're going to stretch this for three.

El Arte de Catch

3: We miss Maximo starting the comeback due the graphics. Misterioso runs into Maximo's butt, which is a sad way for such a thing to happen. Stuka takes care of all of Japan by himself, then comes over to help set up Misterioso for Maximo's butt bump. (With no Valiente, the invisible man holds Misterioso's left leg to keep it from moving. Valiente is tripped into the corner, and Stuka starts to put him in a submission hold while Maximo stares blankly. Maximo explains he just wants to do the same spot again, and Stuka gets it, setting up Okumura for the butt bump to the groin. Ohara in and desperately trying to avoid Maximo's gayness. Stuka gives him a  drop toe hold, puts him in a camel clutch, and Maximo creepily crawls over to him got a kiss on the check. That was quite something. I think we miss a dive while looking at the replays. Maximo sets up for his own dive, but Misterioso cuts him off. takedown, figure four and Maximo gives. Misterioso holds it on for a four count for no apparent reason. They've still go to get Stuka, and Stuka takes his time getting back in so he gets a fair shot. Chest slap contest. I have no idea where Ohara and Okumura are, but I bet we'll be seeing them shortly. Stuka gets Misterioso with a spinning backbreaker and signals to the crowd. Whip, reveres, Stuka gets loaded up into the Gory Special. One two three! Misterioso doesn't need teammates! Ohara and Okumura return just in time to celebrate.

Match 2: Olimpico, Sangre Azteca, Black Warrior (c) vs Negro Casas (c), Alex Koslov, Ultimo Dragon
Arena Coliseo, 11/04/07

  1. rudos
  2. tecnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: Rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 9:58
Approx Rating: Okay.
Other Match Notes: Olimpico is replacing is technically replacing Samurai Shiro, but they had to know he was going to be out all week. Alex and Sangre do promos. Warrior has this orange shirt, even he can't pull it off.

1: Sangre and Negro start on the mat, with the rudos breaking it up every time Negro gets a hold. Negro eventually goes after them, but the rudos takes control for a brawling beatdown. Brawling. Alex has mastered the art of taking bumps into female laps.  Warrior pin s Negro with a casita just to be funny, and then laughs at him! That was great. Olimpico kills time between falls getting into an argument with an old lady.

Q: Cuales son los 3 titulos mas imprtantes que ha ganado?
A: WCW Cruiserweight, WCW TV, and NWA Middleweight

2: Beatdown continues. You're not missing anything. Negro gets held for Warrior to boot, and boot he does. Alex sidesteps a Warrior cover, charge, boots away Sangre and Olimpico, cartwheels over a non-existent clothesline (rudos don't think he' s making it so they move out of the way), ducks another clothesline, and gives Warrior a jumping enziguri. It's not quite Mistico. Everyone in the ring stands around (and we watch them) as Negro dives onto Warrior with a silla. Negro's head boinks off a front row person's knee and Negro takes the worse of it. Alex gives Sangre an enziguri and gives him the crossface, while Dragon wins the usual way. Alex takes his time letting go. Negro, recovered, works over Warrior on the outside.

El Arte de Catch

3: Negro/Warrior, Sangre/Alex (Alex gets in his enziguri again), and Dragon/everyone (though mostly Sangre, Olimpico hanging back) for the tecnico showcase potion of this fall. Warrior/Negro get cycled back, and make hair challenge motions. This seems a bit dated. Negro/Warrior would've been a better main event than the one we're getting, even if the finish is about the same. Negro boots out Warrior, Olimpico boots Negro, Dragon flips over Olimpico but still gets booted out. Olimpico goes for the Asai and gets swept off the apron. Dragon uses Alex's stop sign to prevent Sangre from interfering with his own Asai Moonsault. Alex cuts off Sangre with a springboard forearm, and keeps him out of the way as Negro and Warrior finish up, Negro quickly getting his combo for the win.

Warrior cuts a promo to Negro over the house microphone, Negro responds on the TV microphone, but Warrior sneaks up and shoves him from behind. Warrior offers a rebuttal and we're done.
