CMLL FSE GdR - 11/25/07 (#65)
Recapped: 11/25-26/07

Intros: Magadan and Misterioso II have a rudos only introduction, but Juan Carlos crashes the party. Sagrado does a promo for his team.

Match 1: Mr. Mexico (c), Okumura, Skandalo vs Fabian el Gitano, Leono (c), Stuka Jr.
Arena Coliseo, 10/28/07

  1. rudos
  2. rudos

Winner: Rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 7:45
Approx Rating: unnoteworthy
Other Match Notes: Dubbed intros, but no promos.

1: First fall starts with normal tecnico showcases, Stuka/Skandalo and Fabian vs everyone, but just as he's finishing up, they send it to a break. So, two falls then. Mexico/Leono is joined in progress upon return. Backbreakers, superkick, tope to take out Mexico, but then the tecnicos fed them selves into the rudos finishers. Stuka flips over to help Skandalo finish off his weird submission.

2: Ring cards are broken. Good thing we only need a two. I swear I didn't recall this match was two falls till they gave it away, though I did remember there were some two fall matches along this feud. This is the feud for them. Leono is supposed to face Okumura, but chases Mr. Mexico off the apron and into the crowd. ThIs turns into a six way brawl, and despite Leono whooping it up on Mr. Mexico, the rudos are otherwise in control. It seems a bit more random than usual, with the rudos not being on the same page at first. It settles down into Leono being kept it forever while the Okumura and Skandalo stopped help from arriving. Mr. Mexico hits a senton on Leono, turns to pose, and no one's paying attention so Stuka almost rolls him out. Rudos get it straightened out and work over Leon with corner clotheslines. Stuka gets in again and Okumura and  Skandalo barely fight him off   this time. Leono ducks a double clothesline, dropkicks Mr. Mexico, and then gets knocked out just before the other tecnicos dropkick to other rudos. Tecnicos end up on opposite sides of the ring for Asai Moonsaults, and we're back to the captains. Leono gets a headscissors, Leono off the ropes, Mexico waves him by, poses, and reverses a rana into a powerbomb. Usual hard one. One two three. POSE.

El Arte de Catch.

Match 2: Mephisto, Misterioso II, Mephisto (c) vs Felino, La Mascara, Sagrado (c)
Arena Coliseo, 10/28/07

  1. rudos
  2. tecnicos
  3. tecnicos

Winner: Tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 11:48
Approx Rating: Derailed.
Other Match Notes: They have only two songs to use for introductions. Ohara is out with Shiro again. Mascara and Mephisto do their promos.

1: Ohara lurks around ringside, though mostly out of camera view early on. Sagrado and Felino get in mat work against the rudos. When Mascara sends Mephisto out with a headscissors, Mascara makes the mistake of sliding out to follow and gets punked out by Misterioso. Ohara gets involved with punches on Mascara as Shiro works him over on the floor. Referees ignore it. In the ring, Felino takes a double boot. One referee walks to a corner to yell at Ohara. Unfortunately, that's the corner the rudos are whipping Sagrado in. Referee can't take a bump (because he's not supposed to, I guess), so he just ignores the collision and moves out of the way. Sagrado's stood on his head for the submission. This fall didn't feel as long as I've got it timed - less substance. Shiro gets in a couple double chops on Sagrado and works over Felino in between falls for fun.

Q: [Misterioso II] ?Cuando donde y con que nombre debuto?
A: February 1996, Torreon,  Coachuila, Super Arana (I thought it was Super Spider? Close enough.)

2: Beatdown to start the fall, with Shiro double chopping the neck of Felino. Sagrado gets the camel clutch/dropkick. As Sagrado rolls out, Ohara mocks him and La Mascara storms around the ring, walking like he's about to kill Ohara for being a moron.  Ohara begs off, and Mephisto jumps Mascara from behind. It's Mascara's turn in, and he takes a double back elbow, and double boot. Shiro is just kinda hanging out on the apron, staying out of the way. Rudos tease dives and pose. While Mephisto poses, Felino sneaks in behind and grabs him in a reverse facelock! Misterioso breaks that up, which is too bad. Felino sis treated to Shiro's hip shots to the head. Sagrado back in, and Misterioso grabs him from behind so Mephisto can take his time laughing at the crowd. Mephisto grabs a leg, and encourages Shiro to come over and kick it. That transcended language barriers. Sagrado is forced into the corner. Corner whip, Mephisto whipped in after, Sagrado moves, Misterioso charges into a back elbow, Shiro's clothesline misses and Sagrado superkicks him. Felino gives Misterioso a backbreaker, Mephisto clears out the tecnicos with big boots, but Mascara gets him with a top rope armdrags. Mephisto rolls out, Mascara slides out after him, Mephisto misses a clothesline and Mascara gets the backbreaker. The other four all end up in, and Shiro gets rammed into Misterioso to send him out. Felino boosts Sagrado into a dropkick, which would normally send the rudo out, but Shiro's not from here and takes a back bump, staying in the ring. Tecnicos briefly start to set up for a double dive before realizing Shiro's still here. Felino comes up with a plan, clotheslining Shiro as he gets up, directing Sagrado, and slamming Shiro in the middle of the ring. This seems like farther than Sagrado usually sets up people and, sure enough, Sagrado's corner springboard moonsault ends up with his left knee cracking Shiro directly in the mouth. So ends Samurai Shiro.

Felino quickly gets a camel clutch on Misterioso, then turns back to look at Shiro, who was having trouble just laying there being pinned. The referee is too busy checking on Shiro to raise the tecnicos arms at first. The doctor appears to just be waiting for the okay to come in, because he saw the landing same as the rest of us. Replay is just as painful. Reverse angle not so pretty. Shiro is stretchered out of the ring, and waves goodbye for a stretch. One more back and forth replay to show the impact.

El Arte de Catch

3: Neither Misterioso or Mephisto want to get in the ring to start this fall. They're the only two left, so that's a problem. No sign of Ohara - he might have taken off with Shiro. Mephisto comes in, and there's a little more stalling before they get started. Mascara wants a lockup, but Misterioso knees him and unties his mask. Sagrado goes after Mephisto's mask, Misterioso goes after Sagrado's mask, Felino goes after Misterioso's mask, and that's where the numbers hurt the rudos, because there's no one left to get Felino. Mascara and Misterioso's masks get pulled away, with Misterioso loosening his mask for a second as he's kicked. Mascara dropkicks Mephisto out, and follows him with a tope. Misterioso comes back in to face Sagrado as the referees are having a discussion about something or other. Replay of the dive. Sagrado flips thru a backdrop, evades a clothesline, and gets the rebound armdrag. Sagrado sets up for a dive, stops short, and backdrops Felino into a pescado instead. Mephisto back in and kicking Sagrado out, but Mascara's back in to face him. They have a standoff for a moment, and it looks like Misterioso is down and hurting on the outside. A ref goes out to check on him - looks like he's hurting his right arm. Sucks to be Mephisto, he's the only non-crippled guy on his team. In the ring, Mascara gets Mephisto with an enziguri and a plancha. Second ref chats with Felino and Sagrado for some reason, so as Mephisto comes off the ropes and Mascara leapfrogs, the ref totally misses Mephisto booting him low. Mephisto covers, ref walks over to count, and Sagrado chases after him, stepping around the pin in the process. I'm sure Sagrado has excellent debating skills, but wouldn't it be easier just to break up the pinfall? Felino's smart and does just that. Referee asks the crowd if that was a low blow, and then asks Mephisto. Hey, he called the DQ after all! That's a "get us out of here" finish if I ever saw one.

Dance filler to round out the hour.
