Match 1: Virus (c), Misterioso II, Skandalo vs Valiente, Felino, La Mascara (c)
Arena Coliseo, 10/21/07

  1. tecnicos
  2. rudos
  3. tecnicos

Winner: Tecnicos
Match Time: 7:18
Approx Rating: Fun enough. Kept moving.
Other Match Notes: El Rey de Yogurt does the promo for the rudos, Felino makes cat noises.

1: JIP, during a Misterioso/Mascara stalemate exchange. Felino gets the better of Virus in a short exchange, armdragging him out. Skandalo and Misterioso knock him out and get Mascara with double back elbows as he comes in, but when they try whipping Misterioso to the corner, he dives thru the ropes with a tope on Virus. That was neat. Valiente hits a plancha on both guys, and then eh and Felino finish up the fall. Valiente's submission finish takes about eight steps and the ref thinks it's a pinfall midway thru and counts three.

2: Virus and Valiente start, with Valiente flying around, Virus chopping him down, and Valiente flying around more to send him out with an armdrags. Skandalo trips Valiente up and pulls him out, but Valiente ducks his clothesline, flips, and gives him a backbreaker on the outside. Mascara and Misterioso again. They both stop to pose in the corners and then walk around to get chants. CMLL! Lots off the rope avoidance till Mascara lands a twisting headscissors,. Spinning armdrags sends Misterioso out, but Skandalo is quickly in to take his place. They exchange chest slaps, but Skandalo runs into a rolling dropkick. Skandalo goes out of the ring, Mascara teases dive, slides out, ducks Skandalo's clothesline and superkicks Skandalo. Skandalo grabs his head and retreats up the aisle rather than take a bump Felino and Virus in, and Virus want a handshake. Felino waves to the tecnicos instead, then grabs Virus' arm to prevent him from behind him. Well, by Virus anyway - the rudos rush him and double boot him out of the ring. Mascara takes a double clothesline and a triple boot. Virus gets fireman's carried into a gutbuster, and Virus dropkicks him in the head to send him out. Felino back in and worked over. They make a wish with his legs. Happy Thanksgiving! Mascara takes the Gori Special and a missile dropkick, and that's the end of him. Since he's randomly the captain, the rudos beat up Valiente for no actual reason.

El Arte de Catch: something Oriental. It's a double armbar chinlock, that's for sure.

3: Rudos still in complete control, but only for the first few seconds. Misterioso rolls under a double clothesline and dropkicks two guys. Misterioso clotheslines him, but Felino takes care of that one with a clothesline. Felino gets Skandalo with a handspring back elbow. Felino goes to one corner for his dive, Skandalo moves the other way, Felino jumps to the apron to dive off there instead, Skandalo moves forward out of the way, Felino screams (so would I) and turns the other way to get in his tope con giro. Misterioso and Valiente barely get going before Felino yanks Misterioso out and sets him up for a dive. Valiente hits the blind moonsault to the floor, and hits people in the front row upon landing. Mascara and Virus are left in the ring, Mascara uses the ropes to get out of Virus' hold and hit him with a swinging kick. Mascara top rope plancha, bodyscissors into campana and that's it.

El Diseno: Sangre Azteca

Match 2: Samurai Shiro, Olimpico, Black Warrior (c) vs Marco Corelone, Rey Bucanero, Shocker (c)
Arena Coliseo, 10/21/07

  1. tecnicos
  2. rudos
  3. tecnicos

Winner: Tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:55
Approx Rating: Fine.
Other Match Notes: Generic music entrances. Rey does the promo for his team - both he and Shocker don't know the name of the Japanese follow they're facing. Ohara (with title and belt) is out with Shiro. Valets are randomly handing out posts during entrances. Olimpico, another level, check.

1: Ohara is ordered to the back before the match starts. Warrior and Olimpico jump Shocker. Shiro is a little behind in figuring out they're doing a beatdown, but destroys Shocker with hip checks once he gets it. Olimpico gives Shocker a devastating suplex before the pin, and then gives Monito a very low giant swing. Monito's only a couple inches off the ground.

Q: Que personajes tuvo Black Warrior? [Didn't we do this one?]
A: Camorra, Bronce, Vegas, La Mascara, Dragon de Oro, Black Panther

2: Rudos still in control. Corelone's getting his legs wrapped around the post. Rey Bucanero is ripping up a sign for some reason. Shiro batters Shocker with punches. Rudos regroup in the ring, and give Corelone a triple boot. Shocker brought in for Shiro to kill some more. Double back elbow, and Shocker is rolled out. I think they kinda lost track of what they were doing, or Rey came in for his turn too soon. Boot for him too. I think that's all this rudo trio feels they can do. Corelone in. Double clothesline misses, Corelone ducks it again, clotheslines Shiro and Warrior onto the ropes and punches Olimpico on top of them. Corelone goes down to his knees to use as a boost for Bucanero's big sit on everyone. Shocker gets in a punch on Olimpico, and a big slap of revenge on Shiro. Warrior's left in, well, till Shocker kicks him out. Tecnicos grab Olimpico and Shiro and Corelone hits the big top rope plancha on them for the pin. Warrior comes in, so Shocker puts on the crossface, and Monito his a running dropkick to his head. EVERYONE STRUT aw Corelone wasn't paying attention.

El Arte de Catch

3: Cold start for the third fall, including Warrior and Shocker stalling. Warrior wants Monito and slaps him, so Monito comes in to take him on. Monito does a double bicep pose, and Warrior kicks him in the face. Shocker comes back in, gets a sunset flip, and Monito adds a mini legdrop. Warrior tries to reach after hi, Shocker, inside cradles him, and Monito gets in a butt splash. Monito kicks Warrior into the corner, Shock knocks Warrior down, and lifts Monito up for the top rope splash. Olimpico in, and right into a tilt-a-whirl backbreakers. Olimpico just rolls to safety, Shocker chases after him, and one more tilt-a-whirl backbreaker on the floor. Monito apron dive tope con giro! Monito's on fire. Rey and Shiro in. Rey tries a fighting stance, and just gets kicked in the leg. Chop to the neck. Punch to the head. Rey begs for support and gets a hip check. Rey gets chopped and rallies back. Shiro throws Rey out, but Rey swings himself back in, surprises Shiro. Shiro reacts by running off the ropes, Rey moves, and then powerslams him the next pass thru. Huh. Olimpico knocks down Rey with a back elbow to break that up. They avoid each other for a bit, and Rey ends up with a spinning heel kick to knock Olimpico out. Corelone and Warrior in. Crowd shot to find Corelone fans. They exchange dance moves, avoid each other on sunset flip bits, take turns doing Warrior's dance bit, and Corelone punches Warrior, once. Olimpico in, off the ropes avoidance a lot to let Corelone leapfrog. Olimpico stops to taunt the crowd by doing Corelone's hip swivel, and he turns into a punch. Corelone and Shiro manage to have the normal Corelone sequence, including the springboard clothesline at the end. Rey back in to face Warrior, and whiff on a dropkick. Olimpico comes in to help, though Corelone's waiting for his turn. Double clothesline misses, Corelone leapfrogs both of them and hits his own double clothesline, and then goes to the apron for a double clothesline onto both men. Corelone sets Olimpico and Warrior on the outside for a flying hip check by Rey. Shocker and Shiro left in. Shiro with punches, off the ropes, and a shoulderblock spins Shocker out. Shiro off the ropes, waiting, charging, big boot is ducked, clothesline caught and Shocker locks the hammerlock headscissors cradle one two three! Announcers are happy for Mexico (and Italy) beating Japan (and Mexico)
