Cometa obviously still had a knee injury but battled well, including (barely) pulling of Brillo Cometa. Cavernario also did the top rope splash to the floor among plenty of other moves. They were going hard from the whistle. Barbaro ultimately survived the 450 splash to put Cometa in a cavernaria for a win.

18:23. Mascara Dorada was announced as joining NJPW on a one year contract prior to the match. Not the crazy spot exhibition of last year's match, but one of of big spots building towards a finish. Sombra seemed off and hampered by leg issues, but it was still a great match. Dorada pulled off the over the top rope apron headscissors (the successor to the over the top dropkick Dragon Lee has been doing.) Sombra had mild interaction with guest announcer Yuji Nagata and a match between the two was teased. Sombra was able to sidestep a springboard flip tornillo attempt and beat Dorada with a Shadow Driver. 6:57. Marcela helped give flowers to the tecnicos before the match. Mima was the rudos. Cometa survived nearly getting broken by Yujiro on the outside to hit the Brillo Cometa. (Yujiro generally had problems with working with Cometa & Stuka.) Mima took a superkick from Rey Cometa. Cameras had trouble keeping up with the action. Stuka had Yujiro set up for the bomb splash, but Okumura hit him with a chair and Yujiro eventually beat Stuka with Tokyo Pimpis. Stuka challenged Okumura to a mask vs hair match, but that went nowhere.

8:56. Black Cat (Kuroneko)'s wife gave a speech before the match. Fuego danced even more than usual coming to the ring. Comandante accompanied Vangellys. Niebla Roja has a shoulder taped up. Comandante turned the match for the rudos, and swatted Titan with a belt a few times. Good if chaotic match. Vangellys beat Fuego with a huge german suplex.
4) El Desperado & Máscara Dorada b Bushiroad & Volador Jr. *
8:13. Volador continues to wrestle in his mask. Volador & Bushiroad did the stereo dives off high places. Desperado beat Bushiroad with his El Guitarra del Angel finisher. Volador unmasked while Dorada was hyping up their match for tomorrow. In post match interviews, Desperado talked about having learned from Dorada & Volador in Mexico - and then claimed he was born in Mexico to a Japanese father, so that's why he can speak Japanese.
5) Shinsuke Nakamura b Rush *
10:18. Expected hard hitting good match. Nakamura blocked the Rush Driver three times before hitting the Boma Ye for the win.

Volador declared this a win and proof he was better than Sombra. Sombra said he was done with Volador and onto Ultimo Guerrero - and then wants to fight Tanahashi, Naito, Nakamura and Makabe.

This was billed as the end of their feud, though Maximo suggested a Bufete del Amor vs Suzuki-Gun trios title match in post-match interviews.

Rey Escorpion jumped Rush before the match, and two brawled outside the ring a lot. This time, Escorpion went for his piledriver, but Rush escaped and gave Escorpion his own Rush Driver for the win. In post match interviews, Rush said he didn't want to face any more Mexicans in Japan, and demanded Japanese (Tanahashi, Okada, Nakamura)

Dragon Rojo came in as champion. Mistico seconded Sombra, Dragon Rojo did not have a second. One fall match, as all (non-cibernetico) matches were on this tour. Sombra won the title in 11:38 with the Brillante Bomb, becoming the 6th champion (Dragon falling in his second defense.) Sombra talked about facing Tanahashi or getting a rematch with Makamura.

Mascara kept the title in his ninth defense, fourth versus Volador in 14:40. Maximo seconded Mascara, Volador had no second. Mascara won with the campana. Mascara said he was happy with his tour and suggested a mask match between him and Volador for the Anniversario. Volador wanted a rematch in Japan, to prove he doesn't lose all the time.

Event Notes: CMLL losing all three title matches is a hard way to make people interested in CMLL luchadors. They've got to be holding onto the trios titles tomorrow. A sell out, with another one expected tomorrow.
