7) Rolando Vera b El Santo © [NWA MIDDLE]
El Santo announced as champion, but he has refused the title after losing to Vera in Monterrey (a title match later thrown out due to NWA not listing Vera as a contender.) EMLL does not list Santo as champion in their programming, feuling speculation this is really a commission issue. Vera takes ⅔. The key moment is Santo putting Vera in a half crab, Vera tapping Santo in the back twice while in the hold, and Santo releasing because he thinks the referee is signaling the match is over. Vera instead catches him in a suastica and Santo submits. Vera reveals he was in a car accident on Wednesday and EMLL wanted to postpone the match, but he insisted on doing it. Box y Lucha rates this a 7.5
