EMLL

Signo pledges his allegiance to the Capos so he can get at Villano III.

(Arena Colieso) EMLL Mini tag Team Tournament-

FWIW, I have no idea how this works, so I will just list the matches and what happens.

Universo/El Signo vs. Lizmark Jr./Villano IV- Signo goes out first, then Universo clotheslines Lizmark over and we go to…

El Signo/Apollo Dantes vs Lizmark Jr/Tinieblas Jr- Ok, see what I mean? I guess whoever gets eliminated stays or whatever. They have a decent little match here, with both teams nearly getting eliminated. Lizmark Jr. hits some pretty looking acrobatic stuff. Apollo Dantes catches Tinieblas with a powerbomb, and Signo uses a cristo after ducking a moonsault to defeat the tecnicos.

Universo 2000/Mascara Ano 2000 vs. Villano III/Villano IV- Starts off as regular brawling, but soon picks up to some decent action. After a bunch of back-and-forth stuff, Universo rips off V4’s mask and gets DQed, bringing out…

Apollo Dantes/El Signo vs. Villano III/Villano IV(Final)- Villano IV is out for a bit as he has to go and put on a new mask, so Villano III gets beat up for a while. When he returns, he brings the cookie sheet with him. He-haw. The Villanos try double teaming Signo, but it backfires and the rudos do some of their own until it backfires for them. Villano III gets the flash pin on Signo, and starts trying to pin Dantes with quick rollups. The ref gets distracted by Signo and he uses this to help Dantes get the pin.

Some of these matches were kind of good thanks to the crowd heat but I think the whole tournament thing was a stupid idea. They might as well just done a trios match or something.

Super Porky asks for Rayo de Jalisco’s help as he is fighting the Guapos and is sick of being tricked by them.

(Arena Mexico) Super Porky, Rayo de Jalisco, Rayo de Jalisco Jr vs. Scorpio Jr, Emilio Charles, Bestia Salvaje- The rudos attack early but the tecnicos rally back and turn this into a fair fight. The crowd is insanely hot. Rayito hits the sweet double backflip tope en reverse, then a tope sucida. His father follows with the Topes de Jalisco in the ring on Scorpio to end the fall. Crowd is chanting “Porky” and “Rayo” really loud. Porky does some comedy and hits his bronco buster “La porquetta” for a big pop. The rudos then begin to triple team on little Rayo and take the second fall with little resistance. Bestia scores the decisive pinfall on Porky with a senton. Third fall is the tecnico comeback… Televisa seems to have added PIP to the show so now you can follow the action better. Porky and Rayo Sr. Both hit fat planchas amongst the rampant action, and then Rayito gets the big pinfall on Scorpio with a huracanrana. This was actually a pretty good match, and I enjoyed it a lot because the crowd heat was like that for a pay per view main event.

Momentos Estelares-

Explosivo with springboard ruecas(over the shoulder rolling forward headscissors)
Tigre Blanco with an asai moonsault, Veneno with a sommersault dive, and then Olimpico with a springboard sommersault plancha into the first row!
Shocker fouls Niebla.
Rey Bucanero with a Gory special powerbomb.
Tony Rivera with a tope suicida.

Shocker gets a massage from his legit girlfriend, and once again promises us a special “treatment” for Emilio Charles.

(Arena Mexico) Shocker, Satanico, Black Warrior vs. Black Tiger, Atlantis, Mr. Niebla- The first fall is a complete squash for los rudos, who completely decimate the tecnicos and take their sweet time doing it. Satanico uses a scorpion to beat Niebla, then Shocker and Warrior combine for a double team tapitia on Atlantis. Tecnicos make a quick comeback in the second and both teams go back and forth for a bit. Atlantis ends up getting Warrior in the tapitia after a nice exchange and then Niebla does a flying tope over them to nail Satanico. He then uses ‘la de caballo to end the fall. Third fall has lots of fast, back and forth action. Everyone gets a turn to show off in the ring for a bit. Then, after a complex sequence, Niebla dropkicks Shocker out of the ring and uses a moonsault dive! Warrior follows with a bullet tope suicida, and Black Tiger follows that with a double jump plancha! Satanico and Atlantis get left in the ring, and the ref accidentaly gets hit below the belt. I fail to see the point of that finish since Satanico’s feud is with Ultimo Guerrero, but whatever. Very, very good action as you’d expect from such a lineup. Satanico then challenges Atlantis’ manhood and he responds by offering Satanico five minutes in the ring.

AAA-

Octagoncito, La Parkita, Mini Pathfinder vs. Mini Abismo Negro, Rocky Marvin, & Rocco Marvin- I think Rocco is the farther of all the Marvins. This is minis action, and the best part of it is Octagoncito and Mini Abismo Negro as they are amazing. Octagoncito gets so much air and speed on his headscissors. The rest of these guys pale in comparison to those two. Though Mini Pathfinder does hit a nice tope. Parkita overshoots a plancha and Rocco doesn’t make a good effort to catch him(I guess he thought Parkita was a black and white baseball or something cuz that’s what it looks like he was trying to catch), so Parkita gets hurt pretty bad. Mini Abismo then ends the match quick with a powerbomb on Octagoncito and his rudo friends follow sentons. Well, this was disappointing.

Next is a re-run, joined in progress! Hey look, there’s variation for you.

Mascara Maligna, Pentagon, Electro Shock vs. Alebrije, Octagon, Parka Jr.- Watching this, I have come to the conclusion that instead of doing matches with normal sized luchadors, AAA should instead just give Alebrije and La Parka Jr. a stand up show. Kuije hits a senton off the apron, too. Alebrije and Kuije have a great act. Tecnicos take the first, rudos the second, and in the third we have run ins by minis Abismo Negro and Octagoncito, a couple of dives and Octagon takes the win cleanly with la escalera on Pentagon! GREAT MATCH! Ok not really, but the clean finish was something you don’t see everyday.
