CMLL CAN52 GdR - 12/29/07 (#110)
Recap: 01//08

Intro: Terrible hangs out with the announcers. He always looks odd for these, wit his hair tied back and glasses on. Not exactly the wild man gimmick. Terrible discusses tag champs vs trios champs. Atlantis and Olimpico take turns illustrating the concept of another level and wishing us a happy new year.

Match 1: Pequeño Halloween (c), Pequeño Black Warrior, Pequeño Damian 666 (c) vs Atomo, Mascarita Dorada (c), Tzuki
Arena Mexico, 12/21/07

  1. rudos
  2. tecnicos
  3. tecnicos

Winner: tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:13
Approx Rating: Dense. A lot packed into a little time.
Other Match Notes:
REMATCH. No entrances. Mini FdT's gear looks great - they're a better Halloween and Damian than Halloween and Damian.

1: Rudos jump the tecnicos and destroy them around ringside. Warrior teases giving Atomo a crucifix powerbomb on the ramp, then tosses Atomo off. Atomo lands on his feet and then falls like he took an inverted body slam. Huh. Dorada gets the face first powerbomb/gutbuster combo. Tzuki and Atomo are brought in at the same time for a beatdown, so they just toss Tzuki out and give ATomo the giant swing/dropkick combo. Tzuki's brought back in for his move - a face first powerbomb/springbaord sit on the back move. Damian holds Tzuki over his knees for Warrior's top rope legdrop, and Halloween gives Dorada the F5. Damian gets a top rope splash on Atomo to finish him.  Halloween's finish looks great. Warrior leaves Tzuki hanging on the top rope and kicks him off for the lack of better things to do.

In 2008, Mephisto plans on winning Negro Casas' hair, the tag team titles, the national trios titles, and Mistico's mask. It's good to dream.

Maximo hopes to spend more time with Magadan.

2: No opening whistle? Dorada takes the giant swing/dropkick combo. Warrior holds him upside down for a Halloween dropkick. Damian kicks Tzuki leg out from underneath him, which would seem to be tough. He plays catch the Tzuki with Warrior, who opts to toss Tzuki to the enviable man. Atomo tries to brawl his way back in to some control. No luck. He's kicked own in the corner, and Warrior hits a slingshot dropkick on him. Halloween jumps on Damian's shoulders for a flapjack splash on Tzuki, but Tzuki gets his knees up and that counts, I guess. Dorada comes in with a missile dropkick that kicks out Damian. Warrior stops Dorada with a kick, but misses a corner charge on Tzuki. Tzuki pounds Warrior in the head, grabs an armbar, walks the ropes, and armdrags Warrior over. Tzuki off the ropes, caught for a powerbomb, but escaping into an armdrags. Warrior goes out, but Damian is in to work over Tzuki with chops. He's so much taller than Tzuki. Whip, flapjack. Whip, flapjack reverse into an armdrags at the last second. Tzuki off the ropes, Damián backdrops him but Tzuki reverses to an armdrag there too. Halloween min and missing a clothesline, but he catches Tzuki on the next pass and powerbombs him down. Back up the ropes, whip, Halloween grabs Tzuki again, tosses him, but gets headscissors on the way down. Tzuki off the ropes, spinning armdrags into a double spin headscissors! Halloween goes out - and Dorada follows right after with a double jump plancha. Atomo in, Damian slowing him with  kicks to the leg. Whip, Atomo back, dropkicks sends Damian out, and Atomo follows with a tope, flipping over on impact. Warrior misses a corner dropkick on Tzuki, Tzuki heads up top, flying 'rana counted, but Tzuki counters it back into an up and over sunset flip one two three! Referees count the other rudos, though they cut away before 20. Close enough.

in 2008, Averno will take Mistico's mask and the tag team titles. I guess Mephisto needs to brief him on the trios titles plans.

Sangre Azteca plans to stay welterweight champion.

3: We pick up with Dorada landing a top rope plancha on Halloween, then reversing a powerbomb into a faceslam. Dorada wants more, but Halloween ducks out of the ring to the ramp and crotch chops him from safety. Dorada charges him, but he's got to deal with Warrior instead. Clothesline ducked, Warrior's fireman's carry is reverse de into an armdrags. Dorada gets a rebound armdrags, but Warrior holds on, so Dorada takes the armdrags all the way back up to their feet. Dorada off the ropes, Warrior poses, Dorada tries for a super rotation headscissors, but fails and Warrior sorta covers. Whip, Dorada back with a standard headscissors this time. Dive? No, Damian steps in and Dorada goes after him, only for his dropkick to miss and Damian to pound him in the back of the head. Damian grabs Dorada by his mask and throws him, Dorada spinning around many times in the air. That was slightly insane. Damian figures it was insane enough to do twice, and so he does. He's not taking it! Whip, Dorada with a bodyscissors into a faceslam. Dorada off the ropes, Damián tosses him and Dorada comes down with a headscissors. What's with the ring announcement we can sorta hear underneath this? It's distracting to me and the announcers, I think. Damian forearms Dorada, whip, and Dorada back with a spinning headscissors into a spinning armdrags into a spinning headscissors! Damian goes out, Dorada jumps to the bottom rope to meet him (and misses the rope, oops - he climbs on it anyway), pulls him self to top, and uses the ring post to flip over for a tope con giro! Dorada overshot Damián and actually might have hit face first on the floor, but they go with it. Inside, Tzuki uses a headscissors to pull himself to apron and Halloween to the floor, and follows with an Asia Moonsault. Atomo takes out Warrior with a top rope armdrags, and gets a thru the ropes headscissors on Warrior to send him flying. Everyone's outside and slow back in, and it's a danger of a DCO for a second. Dorada and Damian back in, Dorada going off the rope rope for a headscissors. Dorada off the ropes, spinning armdrag into headscissors into a small package (just barely holding it together) one two three!

Loco Max plans on winning in 2008. Let's not get crazy.

Black Warrior want a title, wants a hair, wants a mask, wants Blue Panther, and wants Negro Casas. I think he can get one of those.

Match 2: Atlantis (c), Black Warrior, Olímpico vs el Hijo del Perro Aguayo (c), Héctor Garza, Terrible
Arena Mexico, 12/23/07

  1. Guerreros
  2. Perros
  3. Perros

Winner: Perros (2-1)
Match Time: 13:06
Approx Rating: More fun than you would've expected thank to a hot crowd
Other Match Notes: Dubbed entrances. Perros enter as a group. Well, Perro Jr. lags behind.

1: JIP, with Perro fighting Atlantis on the outside and everyone else slowly joining in. Lots of Perro controlled brawling on the outside. Olimpico gets dropped on the announce booth. Garza didn't seem to be limping on the way to the match, but he's limping very noticeably early on here, having problems walking from one side of the ring to other. He goes down in a heap after kicking Atlantis and might be done. Guerreros use the opportunity to turn the tables in the ring, Warrior and Olimpico rolling over Terrible. What happened to Olimpico's legs that caused him to wear long pants again? His legs do look skinny. Warrior gets the guillotine legdrop on Terrible while Atlantis bounces around Perro on the outside. No sign of Garza, so I guess that's the fall? Perro's shoulder gets posted into a post, and the Guerreros actually get him back ion the ring. Wow, Perro has to take a pinfall. Olimpico stomps on Garza on the outside while Warrior gets his guillotine legdrop on Perro for the fall. Boos (though since they're dubbing over so much, it's tough to know what to trust.) Garza gets kicked while he's down. Replay of Garza's gimpy run across the ring and kick on Atlantis, but he was hurting before then. Guerreros keep working over the Perros between the falls.

Q: ?Cual es el triunfo mas important que ha conseguido? Didn't we do this one?
A: Cien Caras & Mascara Ano 2000 with Perro Jr. We did do this one before!

Olimpico vows to keep the Guerreros at another level and work out hard in the gym!

Atlantis talks about doing a lot in 2007, and vows to keep on doing it for the people and the KIDS in '08.

2: Olimpico fights near the announcers, which gets the announcers all excited. Garza is in the ring, but being choked in a corner. They stand him up, but I don't think he can do that anyplace that doesn't have ropes to help him up. Perro tries to brawl his way back in control, and it actually works, with Terrible working over Atlantis with punches at the same time. Warrior whips Garza across the ring (cruel!) but Warrior misses the corner charge and Garza kicks him with his bad leg (dumb!) Perro and Terrible go after their opponents masks, while Garza chokes out Warrior with a scarf the Guerreros had brought in earlier. Fans are definitely more behind Perro, you can see them reacting to the comeback. Atlantis is isolated, gets the shirt, and gets the triple kick. Cover for - two? Why did you cover, then? Perros take the brawling to the crowd. Garza looks to be standing better, though he's still got a limp. Warrior gets a giant swing/kick to the head, and they'll actually stay on him for three. Terrible gives Olimpico the Hooligan Clash and that's the fall. Perro has to be held back from attacking a group of Guerreros fans at ringside, and then from his arch rival cameramen. Atlantis chats with the announcers. FELIZ NAVIDAD to the children. They really shouldn't use that announce shot that shows every seat behind them empty. After some replays, the Perros toss Warrior into the announce desk and tease fights with the announcers.

Perros del Mal promise 2008 will be their year.

3: Warrior is rallying support at the announce desk to start the fall. Is anyone going to get into wrestle? Maybe eventually. Warrior gets in, and Garza somehow is the one to face him. The crowd is all fired up for this. Chop battle. Perro gives his partner a pec message. He ramps up for a big chop, and kicks Warrior down. Guerreros rush the ring, but Garza cuts them off with referees. Perro yells at the Guerreros fans for fun. Garza and Warrior resume, with Garza missing a corner charge, Warrior tripping him up, but missing on a slingshot legdrop. Garza kicks Warrior in the back with his bad leg, and antagonizes Olimpico some more. The limp is back for Garza, and he's taking plenty of time between moves. Whip, clothesline misses, and Warrior connects just enough on his wheel kick. Garza is down - is he done? Warrior tags to Atlantis, so he thinks so. Atlantis raises the roof. I think Garza wants to tag out, but Perro is too busy picking fights with the Guerreros fans. Garza will stay in . Oh, no, he'll just sucker Atlantis into an attack from behind by Perro. Perro goes after the mask, but he's warned by the referees and leaves. Garza chests laps Atlantis. Whip, reversed, backdrop reveres into a Garza flip (!) and a clothesline on Atlantis. Garza taunts Olimpico again and hide in his corner again. Atlantis is low to his feet, and Garza keeps him down with a kick to the spine. Terrible walks all the way down the apron to mock Atlantis face to face. Corner whip, reversed, and Atlantis monkey flips him! Perro sneaks into stop that with a forearm to the back. Whip, Perro charges in, Atlantis moves, Perro gets hung on the ropes, Garza charges, Atlantis moves again, both Perros are on the ropes, Atlantis teases a double trunks pull, and Terrible saves us from that. Double chop on Atlantis goes bad, and Terrible taking it form his partners instead. Garza chops down Atlantis, Perro holds him, Garza tries a running knee and Perro takes it right in the face. Atlantis gives Garza the spinning backbreaker and jumps around raising the roofs. Lots of people doing it with him. Perro retreats into the crowd. Olimpico and Garza now. I can't believe Garza is wrestling this much. Maybe he's just used to knee injuries. Olimpico, Garza, and Perro screw around with their pecs. Maximo is not nearly as gay as this. Perro leaves, and Olimpico surprises Olimpico with a chest slap. Whip, reversed, evasions spots for a bit, and Olimpico gets in armdrags. Dropkick sends Garza out, but Perro mauls Olimpico form behind before Olimpico can dive. Terrible tries to pull him off, but Perro keeps on attacking. I think Terrible figures out it's okay for Olimpico to get beat up. Perro holds Olimpico, but Terrible's dropkick gets his partner. Olimpico and Terrible seem lost against each other for a bit, with Olimpico eventually getting an armdrags, and pulling himself from being flipped to the floor to dropkick Terrible out. Olimpico follows with running slingshots tope con giro. Warrior and Garza and the crowd (that's here) is very into this. Warrior charges Garza in the corner, misses and takes the knee bump to the floor. Garza teases dive, but Warrior pulls him off the apron in time. Garza's knee thanks him. Perro and Atlantis left, and the crowd is into it. Chest slap battle, Perro fires up, Atlantis dropkicks him down. second dropkick misses, Perro goes for the low blow kick, Atlantis blocks, Perro pulls his mask. Saw that one coming. Small package, one two three. Perros win again, much to the approval of at least half the crowd.

Perro challenges Atlantis to one more fall, and Atlantis raises the roof. Is that a yes? Warrior wishes everyone a merry Christmas and leaves! Replays and we're done.
