Recapped: 06/21/11

06050606: Jeff Jarrett & Konnan resolved their differences by beating up Zorro – who was actually totally innocent in this. Konnan taunted Metal. Perro returned and – dumped dog food on the Psycho Circus? They didn't actually show this before or I'm blanking out. LA Park & Mesías make challenges.

Match 1: El Brazo, Fabi Apache, Lolita vs Jennifer Blake, Polvo de Estrellas, Sexy Star
Gimnasio Agustin Millan, Toluca, EdM, 05/26/2011

Winner: rudas
Match Time: 7:10
Rating: okay
Notes: Of all the people here, El Brazo gets an entrance. Hijo de Tirantes is ref.

Rudos jump the técnicos at the bell. Triple dropkick sends us to break.

Upcoming shows.

Jennifer Blade sets up Lolita for a nice springboard double knee by Sexi. Crowd loves Fabi Apache, not so much when everyone throws her by the hair. Polvo trips and falls down on a corner whip to start the comeback, about a minute after the break. Guapito is watching, and now has a fake mustache. I dunno. Showcases go Fabi, Brazo (Porky would be jealous of how little he had to move here, even doing a roll on his own at the end) and Lolita last. Sexi Star and Lolita almost break out into a dance contest, before Sexi poses too soon and gets dropkicked. Tricky armdrag on Jennifer looks good, headscissors on Sexi looks less so. Brazo back in for comedy with Polvo. Polvo escapes the sunset flip senton, and holds off Brazo in the corner. The women all come in, Fabi confronts Tirantes, and the rudas whip Brazo into her. Lolita is sandwiched too. Women moonsault women (Sexi on Fabi, Jennifer on Lolita) and get three counts.

Rudas beat up on técnicas more until Brazo runs them off.

Annoying Mickie James promo to hype up the TripleMania match.

Fabi and Lolita talk about the big TripleMania match. They're going to defend the name of Mexico!

TripleMania ad.

Clipped up in ring bit with Joaquin, Dorian, Konnan and an not-introduced Violento Jack. Joaquin: “I'm not a luchador, but I am a man.” Konnan implies he's not so much of one, and Joaquin slaps him. Joaquin takes off his coat and hands it to a security guy standing in the ring, only to turn and get chair shot in the head by Joaquin. Joaquin tried to get his hands up – but he didn't do much of a job of it. He's not a luchador. Clip to Konnan at the stage and Joaquin saying AAA will live forever. I don't know what the point of any of this was.

Match 2: Aerostar, Argenis, Laredo Kid vs Damián 666, Halloween, X-Fly in an AAA Trios tournament quarterfinal match
Gimnasio Agustin Millan, Toluca, EdM, 05/26/2011

Winner: Perros
Match Time: 6:08
Rating: kind of disappointed, actually
Notes: Aerostar has the Abismo Negro fire in a can. Aerostar springboard planchas onto the Perros as they walk in the aisle, but the Perros catch him and toss him behind. Aero lands on his feet, ducks a clothesline, and slides in there in – while the other two lay out Damian and Halloween with topes. X-Fly in, he and Aerostar set up something, idiotic director cuts to a crowd shot. Piero is ref, by the way.

Picked up with Aero in the outside, X-Fly teasing a dive, then kicking Aero over and following with a slingshot senton to the floor. This match has gotten off to some sort of start. Laredo and Damian make it in first. Reversal set up Damian for another plancha from Aerostar, but X-Fly cuts him off immediately and slowly walks him the corner. Aero kips out over a charge and cuts X-Fly down with a dropkick to the knee. X-Fly up, into an Argenis headscissors. X-Fly up again, and Laredo springboard dropkicks him out. Halloween in, Halloween slide out on his chest. Triple dive again? Yes, triple tope con giro, Aerostar getting in the inside springboard. Clip. Técnicos bring Damian back in. Aero flipped with a dropkick to the knee, dropkick to the head, Laredo walking SSP, running sentons by the others. Técnicos drag Damian into position, Laredo goes up top - walk the ropes shooting star press! Laredo gets up and poses instead of trying to actually win with that move, that's kind of annoying.

Break.

Técnicos take turns dropkicking X-Fly into the corner. Laredo and Argenis have trouble getting X-Fly over the shoulders around for a slam, but leave him in position for Aero's springboard shooting star press. Looks great, Aero covers, one two Aero gets up and celebrates. Halloween then comes in hitting people with a chair (why couldn't he have done that sooner?), cracks Aero, cracks Laredo, tosses the chair to Argenis and spears him. Damian and Halloween clear the ring of al but Laredo. He's lifted up and X-Fly adds the running low blow dropkick. Argenis in, pump powerbomb for him, a second, and held supposed for dropkicks to the head from either side. Aero in. Toluca crowd definitely not as loud as past Tolcua crowd. Powerbomb for Aero. X-Fly kills poor Aero with a top rope senton giro, landing with his full weight on him. That's no good. Laredo in and kicking everyone, but x-Fly stops him. Rudos try a double back elbow, but x-Fly ducks it and Laredo goes out. Springboard dropkicks by other técnicos to send all the rudos out. Laredo springboard plancha to the floor is caught – second catch of this match – and he's dumped off into the second row. Argenis tope is sort of caught, but more dropped in front. X-Fly and Aero in, and X-Fly reverses a headscissors to a lame face first powerbomb. Two count. Aero with a modified 619 fakeout to send X-Fly out, and the springboard inverted tope to the floor onto all the rudos – but they sort of watch him and sort of beat him down. X-Fly walks off as the other two press slam Aero on to the barricade. Argenis in and superkicking Damian. Headscissors on X-Fly, not so well. Halloween charges, Argenis sets him onto the top rope and charges out, but gets slapped down by Damian. Whip into an X-Fly toss into a Halloween spear. That should do it. One two three.

Mr. Anderson promo. I did not sign up for this! Mr. Anderson has no idea who Extreme Tiger is and let us know. I have no idea why he has issues with Jack Evans.

Match 3: Billy el Malo, Charly Manson, Cibernético vs Cerebro Negro, Dr. Cerebro, Eterno AAA TRIOS and in a tournament semifinal match
Gimnasio Agustin Millan, Toluca, EdM, 05/26/2011

Winner: Bizarros
Match Time: 10:21
Rating: good
Notes: No entrances? Picture of Eterno manages to cut off his mohawk – or maybe they used the photo from his last appearance? Taboo is not in this match but he's around. Tropicasas is ref.

Charly Manson is a man possessed to show off his technical ability at the start (while Eterno's job appear to be stand there and take it, until the Cerebros rush the ring and start beating up the Bizarros. Cerebros seem to be the rudos this time around. Eterno giving Cibernético shoulders to the midsection is kind of unexpected. Dr. Cerebro lands a nice outside in dropkick on Cibernético. Triple dropkick on Billy Boy. Two man tapatías on Charly set sup a dropkick to the face. Team IWRG is working fast. Cibernético gets group stomped and kicked. Crowd chants for Cibernético. Double boot for him, and more stomping. Crowd chanting at the IWRG team. Corner whip on Cibernético, Cibernético sort of halfway reverses it, holding onto Eterno and whipping him to the corner. Clothesline for the Cerebro. Billy tossed into a dropkick on the Cerebros, No idea where Eterno went to. Odd time for a break.

TripleMania promo.

Eterno whipped into a stiff arm clothesline by Cibernético. Cerebro Negro takes a hard chair shot to the back. Really odd clip, because Cerebro Negro is next shown trading slaps with Billy. Announcers are not even trying to differentiate the Cerebros. Billy backdrops and dropkicks Negro out. Clip to Doctor in, and Billy just barely gets him with a jumping off the top rope headscissors on Dr. Cerebro. Big tope makes up for it. Crowd shot, back in time for a bad Charly headscissors shown from far away. Charly stips down Eterno’s shirt and slaps him in the chest. Chop. Corner whip, Eterno steps up to the middle rope, kicks Charly down, and flips out over him. Eterno runs by Charly back to the same corner, and gets a flying armdrag. Charly walks around the ring to the entrance side, and Eterno throws himself into a tope. Cibernético in, but cut down by a Cerebro Negro dropkick to the knee. Cerebro off the ropes, choke into a powerbomb. Negro out, and Cerebro beats him up more there. Taboo and Cibernético drag Cerebro Negro around the ring, and throws him in to the ring. Meanwhile, Dr. Cerebro dropkicks Billy around and tope con giros him on the outside. Cibernético and Taboo are having a discussion on the outside, but collect Billy. Eterno and Charly battle over cradles in the ring. Eterno forearms Charly. Corner whip, reverses, Eterno goes in chest first, Charly reverse roll up, one two no. Eterno back to the middle rope, big tornado DDT, one two NO. Eterno up top. Flying nothing into a Charly Cutter. Charly looks at the crowd. El Pozo? Charly sets up, looks around, and spins it on. Eterno holds on for a bit, then gives.

Zorro recap package. I guess the idea is Konnan turned on Zorro to save his own spot in the Sociedad? Or maybe we're still waiting to find out.

Jeff Jarrett promo.

Match 4: Electroshock & Heavy Metal vs Chessman & Último Gladiador
Gimnasio Agustin Millan, Toluca, EdM, 05/26/2011

Winner: rudos
Match Time: 8:46
Rating: eh
Notes: Metal has Lokillo with him. And an electric guitar, which may be more useful. Electroshock and Metal yell on the microphone about working together. They hate those two guys over there. Metal offers his hand, and that's when the rudos decide to jump. Referee is Tirantes.

Rudos rip off Electro's shirt in the process of beating him off, and almost takes his pants with. Crowd is so quiet. Beatdown is chair intensive. Clip intensive too – Electroshock goes from strolling around the outside of the ring to being seated in the corner, with his upper body covered in blood. There was a Chessman chair shot prior to all that, but that blood flow is sudden and striking (not so much to the announcers.) Break about 3 in.

TripleMania promo.

Metal makes the comeback right after the break, of course. Chessman takes a chair dropkicked into his head and is rolling on the floor for quite some time, which is bad for Electro waiting to hit him with a chair. Electro looks very red and in bad shape, but then gives up waiting and goes inside to demand Metal a handshake. Metal looks at him, perhaps considering if this is how he looks when he's out of his mind, then survives the people about the handshake. Metal did offer earlier, I think he'd be okay with it. Shake, and Metal rubs some of Electroshock's blood on his own face – that is not a safe way to go thru life. Técnico beatdown. UG manages to toss Metal out on a charge, kicks Electro away, and moves out of the way for a Chessman corner tope on Metal. Well timed. Another edit, and Electroshock does his own plancha to the floor. UG waits for Electroshock to grab Chessman and walk around the side, then tries an Asai tornillo. The move looks great, but it way overshoots the guys catching it and UG lands in the front row. That's why everyone else was doing the dives to the entrance side – the other sides are much too close to the ring. Corner dives worked okay but not straight side ones. Lokillo gets on the apron, Chessman picks him up over his shoulders and drops him on the entrance step. Chessman “whips” Lokillo with a chain (?), though the chain is loudly hit the surface behind Lokillo instead. Fakes thing in some time Chessman and drags Lokillo by his ankle back to the ring. UG and Metal going at in the ring, Metal gets UG down with some turnbuckle smashes, Chessman catches a plancha and slams Metal, chessman sets up something, odd crowd shot, and Electro is in giving UG a cutter. Chessman superkicks Electroshock out and steps up something. Metal is waiting to get chessman form behind, but we're all distracted by Silver King and with his own mascot. Trolly from AULL, though the announcers decide he's Manaquito. This has nothing to do with anything. Metal gives Chessman the Heavy Punch, gives Silver the Heavy Punch, and Chessman punches Metal with – a shoe? The mini’s shoe? I have no idea. Sharpshooter on, that's it.

Evil mini hits good mini a couple times, climbs up himself to the middle rope and lands a splash. Rudo toss him on one more time and everyone stomps the mini. Electro and Metal run them off and save Lokillo. Chessman takes a big bump to the outside.

Wagner responds to RVD. RVD is a great warrior, but he's no Dr. Wagner. Can't argue with that!

Schedule

Mesías/Park recap.

Match 5: Dr. Wagner Jr. & El Mesías vs el Hijo del Perro Aguayo & LA Park
Gimnasio Agustin Millan, Toluca, EdM, 05/26/2011

Winner: DRAW
Match Time: 10:31
Rating: OK
Notes: Perro and Park and Park's great outfit enter together. Not so much for the técnicos. Ref is Piero. Park jumps Mesías to get the match started.

Park beats up Mesías on the outside while Perro rips up Wagner's mask and bites his head. Clips! Chair shots. Park visibly wants little to do with Perro, pulling Mesías away form him at one point. Perro still has a chair in his hand, but Wagner relieves him of that and smacks him twice with it. They got outside, and Park still beats up Mesías on the outside. Lots more crowd shots, and Wagner and Perro are battling evenly. Perro's face is covered in blood. Clip again? Wagner is really fast to goes outside and get a table if there isn’t a clip. Piero is telling Park not to do something while Wagner is leaning the table in the corner right next to him. Park breaks a box of – something food-ish? - over Mesías, dumping the contents all over the ring. Perro doesn’t seem to be moving at full speed, but that could be anything. Contrived spot leads to Wagner giving Perro a sort of belly to belly thru the table. Piero is calling for help for both of them. Park pays no attention, strutting around. I can't imagine anyone who has the health problems Perro supposedly has being encouraged to bleed how much it does here. Clip, Mesías has parka down and is pulling apart his mask. Mesías is bleeding, but it's not flowing. Wagner is being help to the back, and it looks like Perro is next. Mesías takes a shard of the table and hits Park with it. Park goes out, Mesías goes with him and throws Park into the crowd. Chair shot in the crowd. Back in to go after the mask again. They're still clearing parts of the table out of the ring. Park gets up and gets into a full strength chop fight, which goes for a while before Park kicks. Mesías kicks back, and Park does down. Crowd shot clip. Why is the announcer using Mesias' real name? So random. Park powerslam for two. Didn't help that Piero was slow counting. Park is missing the top half of his mask – looks like he's wearing Chessman's mouth scarf. Mesías DDT for two. Mesías front cracker, and he decides it's time to go up. Top rope splash connects, but Mesías bounces off and doesn't cover right away. Two count when he does. Crowd chants for Mesías, but another section is trying to boo them. Mesías walking weird as he corners Park and punches. Park sidesteps a corner charge and clothesline Mesías down. Park waits for Mesías to get up, gets behind him, and spins him into an elbow driver, one two no. Crowd shot clip.

Mesías dropkicks Park out and follows with a tope. Both down on the ground. Piero checks on both, goes back in, and starts screaming the count. Seems like they're setting up the DCO, but Mesías makes it back at 13, and Park times his dive back in to make it at 19.5. Mesías German suplex, holding on, Park slow to get up, another German suplex, holding on, a third German suplex, throwing, park this time. Park is breathing hard. Mesías crawls on top, one two th-NO. Mesías positions Park and goes up – top rope splash comes up empty this time. Park rolls away to escape the dive, rolls back on top for the pin, one two no. Boos are stronger than the Mesías chant, but nothing is really strong. Mesías traps Park in the ropes, and adds a backcracker. Powerbomb, one two th-no. Park hasn't really had any offense since that dive. Both up and punching. Park corner whip, Mesías moves, and Park spears the corner. Park's stuck there, Mesías is slow over but inside cradles him one two no. Crowd shot. Mesías forearns Park out, stumbles around the inside for a bit, then decides to climb out to the apron and climb up again. Top rope plancha, wipes out both. Piero loudly counts again, and Mesías makes it back at 13. Park makes it back at 19, slightly sooner this time. Halloween, Damian and X-Fly have decide to come out and stomp Mesías for no reason. Piero argues with them a bit, then LA Park tells the Perros to get loss. I guess Piero is letting this go. Mesías spears Park – which causes Mesías to go flying? I guess maybe they were both supposed to be running, but Park was not running. Piero takes turns raisin their arms and watching them drop – they both drop three times, and Piero calls off the match. That right there is a bad finish.

Metal and Electroshock now come out to chases off the Perros, but Damian still slips in and stomps Mesías. The medical personal who were all concerned about Wagner and Mesías are not so quick to show up.

Perro challenges Wagner to a hair vs mask match. Not holding my breath.
