AAA on Televisa #991 (05/21/2011)
Recapped: 05/22/11

Previously: Metal beat up the Maniacos, still doesn't like Electroshock. I'm with you! Drago debuted, surely the most devastating thing to happen to Charly Manson this year. LA Park gave Mesías a Martinete. Dorian is bringing in Jeff Jarrett, much to Konnan's displeasure.

Match 1: Fabi Apache, Lolita, Mari Apache vs Jennifer Blake, La Hechicera, Sexy Star
Plaza De Toros Batallon De Zacapoaxtla, Zacapoaxtla, Puebla, 04/27/2011

Winner: Jennifer Blake, La Hechicera, Sexy Star
Match Time: 6:38
Rating: fine
Notes: New graphic package! Pepe Casas is ref. No entrances. Seems to be joined in progress.

Sexi and Lolita have a battle of rolls. I think Sexi might have actually won that one. Lolita doesn't look quite as good working with Sexi Star, a non-surprising turn of events. Break as Hechicera and Fabi are about to start.

New TripleMania promo.

Action is resumed with nothing missing. La Hechicera knocks Fabi down by Fabi running at her and falling down hard. Fabi comes back with a middle rope headscissors, and that's everything they do. Micro clip to Jennifer being slapped around by Mari. Mari armdrags Jennifer, but Jennifer gets in a nice kick to the head. Whip, Jennifer charges in, Mari's seated on the middle rope and kicking her away. Middle buckle plancha connects, Mari rolls thru to her feet, Jennifer charges right into a quebradora. Crowd is quiet, or way off into the background, I can’t be sure. Hechicera ambushed Mari from behind with a forearm. Fabi comes in to stick up for her sister with kicks, but the rudas start a beatdown in the ensuing scrum. Hechicera gives Lolita a spinebuster, and Jennifer and Sexi Star pull off the giant swing/dropkick spot. Wasn't sure Sexi Star going to keep Lolita up, but manages. Corner charges on Mari immediately fail, tecnica moving out of the way of Hechicera close charges, and Mari hammering the other two with clothesline. Técnicas run wild, Lolita somehow matched up with Hechicera. Drop toe hold, kick to the face for Jennifer. Rudas all end up on the outside recovering, so Lolita kicks Sexi star from behind and throws her back in to the Apaches. Two women press slam for Sexi. Jennifer in, Mari kicks the face, Fabi split legged faceslam. Apaches forearm around Hechicera. Whip, Hechicera back with a plancha to knock them both down. Sexi Star rushes in and dropkicks Lolita in the corner, as Hechicera lands a running splash on both tecnicas. Rudas back in. Lolita rallies to dropkick Jennifer out. The rudas give Lolita plenty of room to dive – Lolita seems like he’s doing a straight thru the ropes tope, then turns over at the last second. It works, but it looks painful for her. Other four all in, Mari and Hechicera knock down the smaller women. Replay of Lolita's dive. Hechicera sandwiches Mari in the corner with a clothesline. Corner whip for Fabi, corner charge, Fabi sandwhiched too. Sexi goes to the middle rope, moonsault lands (!!!) one two three! Wow. Lolita tried to make the save, but Jennifer pulled her back and stomped her into the mat.

Rudas get their arms raised, then Sexi Star rushes out to beat up Lolita some more. Sexi tosses Lolita to Jennifer to stop, as she stomps Fabi.

Zorro is reading to LA Park out of his good book. Konnan has had just enough of Zorro's recent craziness and let's him know about it. Zorro suggests that perhaps Konnan is concerned about his power being usurped by the Americans, but Konnan insists he's sick of Zorro not being a team player. Zorro goes off on one of his prophecies, but LA Park lets him know that he's not the only crazy one here. He's going to have the title soon and he's the leader. It's not a prophecy, it's what will happen. Konnan and Park will off as Zorro talks to - himself.

Match 2: Octagoncito vs Mini Psicosis for the AAA World Minis Championship
Plaza De Toros Batallon De Zacapoaxtla, Zacapoaxtla, Puebla, 04/27/2011

Winner: Mini Psicosis
Match Time: 4:39
Rating: disappointing
Notes: Entrances. Mini Histeria is Psicosis’ second. Mascarita Divina’s is with the champ. Hijo de Tirantes is ref, an ominous sign. Crowd is clearly chanting things at Hijo de Tirantes, and we can not hear them at all.

Octagoncito pulls Psicosis into a quick pinfall for two. Headlock and Mini Psicosiskills him with a back suplex. Hijo de Tirantes counting fair for both guys. Another quick roll up for Octagoncito doesn't get him anywhere. Psicosis armbar sets up the multiple kips up and armdrag. Springboard plancha, one two NO. Armdrag sends Mini Psicosis out entrance side, and Octagoncito rushes thru the ropes turning tope con giro! Replays.

Both back in, Octagoncito with a cartwheel and a headscissors. World's most obvious clip! Psicosis misses a dropkicks and throws himself out. Octagon swings to the apron leaps to the top rope, balances himself, and off with a top rope Asai moonsault to the floor. Octagoncito almost turns completely over before he hit, that was a long way to go. Replay.

Back live, Mini Histeria is telling his partner to stay out, and going in the ring himself. Running back elbow for Octagoncito! Hijo de Tirantes is talking to Mascarita Divina about who knows. Where he wants the técnicos stand, I guess. Whip, Histeria clothesline misses, Octagoncito with a double spin headscissors on Histeria to send him out. Octagoncito sets up to dive one guy not in the match – seems a poor idea! – and backflips over him to the floor. Histeria tosses Octagoncito back to the ring, Octagoncito tries another flip off, Histeria trips him up, dropping him on his chin. Another really obvious clip, seemingly cutting out a Psicosis dive.

Both legal participants are on the floor. Lots of towel waving. Replay of the shot they just clipped out! Psicosis top rope plancha actually kind of split the difference between Octagoncito and Mini Histeria. Not a good match for Mini Psicosis. Both back in, Octagon being punched but standing on the bottom rope. Psicosis sets him up on the second rope, Octagoncito punches and shoves him off. Hijo de Tirantes checks on Psicosis, while Histeria crotches and trips Octagoncito off the top rope. Psicosis waves Histeria in, and they double team Octagoncito while Tirantes yells at Divina for no reason. Psicosis dropkick takes out his partner. Divina in, completely in front of the ref, ducks a Psicosis clothesline and lands slingshot tope con giro on Histeria. Legal guys back in and going. Octagoncito with his armdrag into a crucifix cradle but only for one. Tirantes a bit slow there. Octagoncito casadora, caught and turned into a German suplex. One two three. Seemed kind of like both guys shoulders were down there, but no one even suggests it. Rudos have a big celebration.

Replays, and one announcers does point out something's off with the pin. Really, Octagoncito's shoulders weren't down either down either, because he tucked his arms under his head (to cradle his hurting head, but he surely knew what he was doing.) Octagoncito shakes Psicosis hand after the match and raises his arm, which makes absolutely no sense.

Match 3: Electroshock, Extreme Tiger, Jack Evans vs Chessman, Silver King, Último Gladiador
Plaza De Toros Batallon De Zacapoaxtla, Zacapoaxtla, Puebla, 04/27/2011

Winner: Electroshock, Extreme Tiger, Jack Evans
Match Time: 10:12
Rating: okay
Notes: Silver King has his IWRG belt. New Maniacos pose together. Jack has an edecan hold his belts while he cartwheels. Tiger carries his own belt. No sword. Piero is referee.

Chaotic brawl breaks out to start. Too chaotic for the people involved, since Tiger and Jack try to dropkick the same guy one right behind each other. Ultimo Gladiador piledriver, check! Rudos get control right about then. Two man frontcracker for Electroshock. Jack takes a double dropkick, and Chessman German suplexes him over the top rope into Electroshock. Neat. Gutbuster for Tiger. Electroshocks dropkicked and stomped down. Break.

Electroshock clotheslines Chessman, but UG takes him down with a jumping forearm to the back. Electroshock is held down for a while. Silver lands a twisting senton con giro. If Chessman really wants to fit in this group, he needs to start wearing a mask, and the announcers need to act like nothing is weird about it. After a replay and a crowd shot, Electroshock is able to run out of the ring and run around fine after a corner whip. Double clothesline on Silver King and Ultimo Gladiador, punches for everyone, Electroshock makes his own comeback. Other guys in with a springboard headscissors and faceslam. Everyone runs after each other, rudos retreating to the stage and técnicos not following them up there for whatever reason.

Clip, and everyone's back to the ring. Chessman tosses Tiger up, and Tiger comes back with a sky high legdrop. Double spin headscissors sends out the red man. Tiger rushes, for a dive, but Silver King cuts him off with a swing kick. Ultimo Gladiador slowly climbs to the top rope, waits, waits, waits, Silver King slaps the mat with both hands, Electroshock finally runs over and crotches Gladiador. Awkward! Jack rushes over, and Electro tosses him into a 'rana on Gladiador. (Jesus Z: “corner suplex” - no, no, no.) Silver wheel kicks Jack out, Electroshock gives Silver a quebradora and a spinebuster, Chessman spears Electroshock. Pose! Jack gets Electro with a spinning heel kick to the head, charges, Chessman flips him to the apron, Jack kicks him away, leaps up, and UG cuts him off with a leaping kick off Chessman’s back. That kick didn’t look strong, but the idea was neat. Back inside, Tiger cradles Silver, but Chessman stomps the pin and UG grabs Tiger. Chessman boots his partner into a dropkick on Tiger, UG coming down on top of the técnico. Rudos congratulate each other, but can't decided if they’re doing hand signals or high tens. Need more practice. Triple dive meets kicks from the cruiserweights, and a thrown chair by Electroshock (to Chessman, of course.) Tag champs land on the ex-champs with springboard guillotine double stomps, and Chessman just yanks Elector out. Técnicos all in, Electro tope on Chessman. Tag champs wait for someone to come in. UG does, and misses a dropkick. Kick to the midsection, another one to knock him over. Tiger Indian deathlock, UG rolled over onto his back, Jack standing moonsault. Inverted facelock by Jack, Tiger running dropkick to the face. Silver in, but Electroshock rushed in to forearm him. Chessman kicks blocked, Electroshock kicks him in the head. Electroshock cutter. Tiger with a floataround DDT on Silver, Jack with double knees to Gladiador's face, Electroshock powerbombs Gladiador into the corner. Técnicos tie UG in the ropes for a Tiger low blow dropkick. UG falls half over, Jack adds a dropkick to the back, and Electroshock with a kick to the head. Tag champs to the apron, springboard tornillo to the floor on UG and Chessman. Electroshock reverse rollup into a back suplex on Silver King (or a try at the Brillante Bomb?) one two three.

Secret camera footage of – Parka talking someone into handing over Cibernético's motorcycle to him. I only know this because I'm reading ahead, Parka's not wearing Parka gear and only detectable by his voice and long hair. Parka rides off. D

Drago debut + army forming.

Match 4: Cuervo, Drago, Ozz vs Billy el Malo, Cibernético, Escoria
Plaza De Toros Batallon De Zacapoaxtla, Zacapoaxtla, Puebla, 04/27/2011

Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 6:09
Rating: good
Notes: Taboo is with his team. Escoria has a top hat with the Bizarros logo. Hijo de Tirantes is ref. Drago does his nunchuck routine.

Bizarros get the best of the brawl to start, though Hijo de Tirantes makes Taboo leave the ring instead of helping out. Quick clip to some chair related violence. Taboo makes rue to get involved on the outside. Escoria has absolutely no problem fighting his former friends this week.

Blurb: Escoria sure got over not wanting to fight Ozz & Cuervo quick! Good for him. Cibernético missed a double clothesline on the Dark family about 2:30 in, they clothesline Billy and Escoria, then spear Cibernético. Drago dropkicks Cibernético out, and the brawling comeback is on. Drago works with Billy, how unusual. Break.

Return, and just in time for a big clip. Técnico showcases. Billy is sat on the apron, and knocked backwards off it by a running knee from Ozz. Drago has a neat corner headscissors on Escoria, gets stopped by a Billy dropkick, and evaders their moves until Escoria kicks down his partner, and gets Escoria with a spinning DDT. Billy stops him again with a senton, but evasive ness leads to Dragon backflipping off the top rope to an armdrag. Drago jumps on Billy’s shoulders, and sort of get shrugged into a plancha on Escoria on the outside. Cuervo jumps in, and almost is pinned by a Escoria ‘rana. Notice who's not taking any offense? It's probably for the best. Escoria comes back for a DDT, lifts Billy off, and Ozz awkwardly missile dropkicks him away. Cuervo didn't do the best job of setting him up. Escoria dropkicks Ozz out, and Cibernético spears the Cuervo out of his boots. Cibernético stands and poses, and Drago takes him down with a springboard dropkick. Escoria back in with a back suplex into a powerbomb (which used to be Zorro's move, last time we were paying attention that.) Escoria poses on the middle rope. Dragon stops him, has a footing problem, jumps on Escoria’s shoulders, and they both fall back. I'm not sure that's what that was supposed to be. Billy breaks it up with a stomp. Billy whips Drago and slaps him, but Ozz breaks it up with a kick. Ozz gets Billy with a headscissors and a flapjack. Running kick sends Billy thru the ropes. Ozz runs, tornillo thru the ropes too. Cibernético in, and talking to Cuervo before he whips him. Dropkick. Long crowd shot. Cuervo tope, Cibernético getting his hands up and not really making an effort to catch there. Escoria and Dragon in, Dragon with a kick to the back and a flatliner. Drago up top – moonsault tornillo plancha, one two three. Finish looked great.

Replay of the finish.

LA Park vs Mesías recap.

Match 5: El Mesías, Joe Lider, La Parka vs Damián 666, Halloween, LA Park
Plaza De Toros Batallon De Zacapoaxtla, Zacapoaxtla, Puebla, 04/27/2011

Winner: El Mesías, Joe Lider, La Parka
Match Time: 14:56
Rating: ok
Notes: LA Park has a Viking hat. I dunno. Perros and LA Park do a mocking dance routine while Parka walks to the ring. They stop when Parka starts. No dance party! Piero is ref. No Mesías? He ain't here when they do introductions. Break right after them.

When they return from break, Mesías is running in the ring and punching LA Park. SO I guess he’s in this match, and perfectly fine from last week. Announcers explain Mesías is not medically cleared, but he's a professional and wrestling here. Mesías looks perfectly normal. Perros end up winning the brawl anyway. Better brawling rudo beatdown than last match. Park throws Parka into the crowd, swings a chair into the crowd to hit him, and goes into the crowd for more. Whip into a wall. Park calmly leaves Parka at the all, and walks back to the ring to hit Lider & Mesías with a plastic cover he found. Parka is helped back towards the ring. Break about four in.

TripleMania promo.

They keep hyping the Jeff Jarrett promo before almost break.

Joe Lider is tossed off the top rope into chairs. I bet he'll be fine in a minute. After the other guys have been hit with chairs and such, Parka is just clotheslined in the corner a couple times and rolls out. LA park puts his head down too son after whipping Mesías, and gets thrown down by the head. Damian makes the save. Halloween sits Lider in a chair, casually backs up, charges, Lider stands up and gives Halloween a flatliner into the chair. Told you he'd be fine. Damian and Park jump on him before eh can get going, and Park kills Lider with a chair shot to the face. Lider gets his hands up, just barely. Parka and Mesías crotches Parka onto the post in the meantime, starting the comeback. Mesías gives Parka a chairshot to the face as payback, and is on him with punches. Mesías looking very angry this week. Halloween makes funny faces. LA Park and Mesias have a punch battle that would be better if we weren't looking at it so close. Mesías is knocked to the barricade, Parka charges, so Mesías backdrops him into fans who only figure out what's going on at the last second. Replays, and everyone's back at their corners magically

Halloween spears Lider, but Parka breaks up that pin. Parka urange on Halloween, Parka tells Piero to stop counting, then rebreaks it up with a belt shots a few seconds later. Parka clothesline Parka, then drops him with an elbow driver. Mesías breaks up that pin with the weight belt. Shots of Damian and Halloween for trying to help out, and then more to Park. Whip, Mesías charges in, Parka kicks him away. Mesías charges in and, Parka kicks him away. Park charges out, Mesías powerslams him one two NO. Mesías fired up. Backcracker on Park. Mesías waiting for Park to get up again? Sunset flip! Why do you want to do a sunset flip? Other rudos try to break that up, Lider and Park cradle them, everyone kicks out. Rudos corner all the técnicos. Triple headlocks get the rudos shoved into each other. Three man star. Rudos do not give, break it up. Ring starts to clear up, with the rudos all lined up on the mat for a Mesías top rope splash. Big kickout by the rudos wipes out Piero, but he recovers quickly. Halloween is having a pants issue, X-Fly like. Everyone getting in place, Lider slides out Halloween and pescados him, Damian adds a tope on Lider, La Parka teases he might dive, and then finally does. Parka dive – crushing tope! The two Parkas and Lider get up, Mesías tope – but the rudos runs and only the técnicos get hit. That's probably a bad sign. Long crowd shots. Rudos are still setting up furniture in the ring. Rudos set up a table, using chairs as the legs and a wood panel as the top. Long crowd shots. Mesías is half dead for some reason. They’re still setting things up. If you’re going to clip things out, clip all the way until the set up is over. FDT still fixing things as Park hits Mesías with a chair, causing Mesías to fall thru it. This table is set up diagonal to the corner – it's going to be hard for Park to splash Mesías thru it, if that's what the plan is. (Camera angle being used perfectly frames the entrance set, what a coincidence.) Parka and Lider turn up to stop Parka from climbing with a punch and kicks. Halloween and Damian draw them off - the rudos get beat up, but LA Park is free to climb. Moonsault? Park holds up, as Zorro's music starts to play. Zorro shots off the World title and points at Parka. Park points back – and gets powerbombed thru the table by Mesías. Parka goes thru the table and is actually underneath it (making his shoulders impossible to see) while Piero counts the one two three, but I suppose it doesn't really matter.

Billy and Escoria rush the ring and attack the técnicos. Two on three works! Ref and medical attending to LA Park, carefully stretching him out. Ozz, Cuervo and Drago rush out, and but patiently take out the Bizarros one by one. Powerbomb/neckbreaker for Escoria. Before they can even really get to Billy, Cibernético and Taboo are out and beating up the técnicos. Maybe you should've just run in at once? Electroshock, Jack Evans's Giant Red Shirt, Extreme Tiger rush out to make the save again. Técnicos all raise each other's hands.

Replays.

Jeff Jarrett/TNA video: the one where Jarrett runs into a half dozen people to talk about coming to AAA. Some do good! Other people include Matt Hardy. Mr. Anderson's perplexed expression is better than Mr. Anderson talking. I'm not sure Beer Money realize they've been to AAA, last year. I wonder promotion Mick Foley thought he was talking about when he said “I like and respect everyone in AAA.”

And that's how the show ends.
