Four sided ring. AC Delco is on the mat, on banners around the ring, and on t-shirts in the crowd. And on a giant inflatable mascot by the entrance.
Match 1: Jennifer Blake, Tigre Cota, Tito Santana vs Crazy Boy, Fabi Apache, Gato Eveready
Villa Charra de Toluca, 11/27/2010
Winner: rudos
Match Time: 9:00
Rating: good
Notes: técnico showcase, Crazy looking a bit too staged. Jennifer is insisted on a handshake Fabi just won't give her. Fabi quickly clears the ring with her, but Tirantes cuts Fabi off with a clothesline to start the beatdown. Rudo team is surprisingly well co-ordinated – the guys even set up Crazy Boy so Jennifer can do the apron dropkick. She may be better than the second Rio Bravo! Crazy Boy backdrops Fabi to safety to start the comeback. Jennifer charges next, and ducks way too soon for Crazy's kick, but turns around and cowers so Crazy can still kick her in the backside. (And then, the required wacky move.) Gato flying armdrag, Tito feeding himself into a Fabi kick. Fabi didn't seem quite ready for that, so Crazy Boy sets up the kick again, then lands double knees to Tito's back. Long tease of beating Tirantes does not end up with Tirantes beat. Tito/Gato sequence sends with Tito being slid out, and Gato laughing at him with a tope con giro. Fabi kicks Jennifer in the head and holds her while the other two finish in the middle Crazy Boy's big wacky move is ignored by both the camera, and by Tirantes – he finally turns around by the two count. Crazy Boy tries a straight death valley driver this time, then goes for the Crazy jump – chair assisted moonsault comes up empty. F5, very slightly on the chair, one two three, win for Tiger Cota.
Fabi STILL has Jennifer in the hold, and only lets go when Cote starts beating Crazy after. This gets Fabi stomped, so maybe he should've just held out. Gato makes the save and the rudos celebrate.
Cibernético is talking to someone on the phone when Extreme Tiger walks up, wanting an angry word. I don't believe for a second that Cibernético would hang up his phone call to discuss something with Extreme Tiger, but that's what happens for the sake of this vignette. Tiger wants to know what's with Cibernético attacking Parka and Jack – they're AAA, is he helping La Sociedad? Cibernético, a bit annoyed and a bit more condescending, once again explains that they're not with Konnan or Dorian and the Bizarros are against everything. Tiger argues this, so Cibernético calls out to his friends, and Escoria and Taboo appear to beat up Tiger and hold him for more Cibernético ranting. Never interrupt this man's phone calls!
Match 2: Mascarita Divina, Mini Charly Manson, Octagoncito vs Mini Chessman, Mini Histeria, Mini Psicosis
Villa Charra de Toluca, 11/27/2010
Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 7:57
Rating: good
Notes: Pepe Casas is ref.
This is basically the same crew as from last taping, only doing a traditional six men instead of the rumble style elimination match – and it's so much better. They don't really get time. It's under eight minutes, they're running the whole way, and it's the most basic layout, but everything looks really good and the crowd's into it. There's at least one really noticeable edit (knocking out some Charly Manson stuff), and it's very interesting Manson got the win in retrospect. After all the técnicos got in dives, Charly finished Chessman with a Michinoku Driver for the win. AAA wouldn't appeal to the big Charly by having the Mini Charly randomly win a match, would they? Maybe.
Silver Cain happens upon Heavy Metal in an office. Silver, who is wearing one belt and carrying around another while wearing his gear, explains he's not here to fight, but to talk. Metal has to finish talking to his phone call. Silver brings Metal up to date in all events Electroshock, and asks Metal to join them in feuding with Electroshock. Together, they could all have belts! Metal says his feud with Electroshock is separate from the Maniacos, and wishes to keep it that way. Silver tells Metal to think about it. Good call by Silver not mentioning the whole alliance with La Sociedad here.
Guerra de Titanes teaser.
And another one, about the Octagon attack.
Match 3: Decnnis, Silver King, Último Gladiador vs Extreme Tiger, Jack Evans, Laredo Kid
Villa Charra de Toluca, 11/27/2010
Winner: rudos
Match Time: 18:49 (10:43+8:06)
Rating: ok, but too long
Notes: Piero is ref. Appears joined in progress, with dubbing to hide it.
This is a match where Silver King kicks out of Laredo Kid's 450 splash, and it's not really a dramatic near fall, it's just a hit a few minutes before the finish. Being a sold show, with AC Delco on the mat and a giant air filled balloon of the corporate mascot looming over the stage, it feels like another house show match. People are getting their moves in, with the idea that none of it matters. I'm impatient, but this match goes far longer than it needs to just so Everyone can do all of their stuff. Ultimo Gladiador uses a pumphandle piledriver on Jack Evans, which is interesting for them mostly getting rid of the piledriver bits.
After the other two técnicos get in dives, it's down to Tiger and Silver. Tiger's the most popular técnico on this night, but gets clipped on the top rope and superplxed for the loss.
Silver King takes the microphone to explain to the people that Electroshock is out of the group, but the Maniacos are bigger than Electroshock and Electroshock will make a pathetic técnico, just like Wagner. Soon, a new member! Look at all those free AC Delco shirts.
Match 4: Cibernético, Escoria, Taboo vs El Ilegal, Hernandez, Zorro
Villa Charra de Toluca, 11/27/2010
Winner: Bizarros
Match Time: 8:00 (3:55+4:05)
Rating: eh
Notes: Now that they actually have to caption him, Taboo is confirmed with that spelling. Until they changed their mind again. Tirantes is ref.
Brawl to start, with La Sociedad eventually taking control. Zorro knocks Taboo off the apron with the loudest superkick ever, then takes out Escoria by harpooning him with his cane. Zorro and friends beat up Escoria and keep him in the ring for a long time, with the Bizarros (essentially tecncios here) reaching for a tag. And then Zorro just throws Escoria out and Taboo comes in. That's great. Hernandez can do a senton! He's happy about it. Break.
Sociedad continue to beat up Taboo and Escoria. They're able to come in when someone goes out, but Cibernético most make a tag. This makes complete sense to someone. Fans do start chanting for Cibernético, so hooray for that. Zorro superplexes Escoria, Ilegal adds a senton con giro, and Hernandez adds a splash. No one covers, Illegal just attacks the guys on the apron again. (Taboo's somehow gotten back there) Escoria finally makes his own comeback, with a flying forearm on Ilegal, and pushing Zorro into the path of Hernandez's flying shoulderblock. Enziguri takes out Hernandez, and there's the tag – with little pop, as always. Fans cheer when the offense starts. Cibernético clears out for everyone for ten seconds, gets whipped by Hernandez and Zorro, and ends up double spearing him. Some bad looking offense. Ciber clears the ring of Hernandez, throws Ilegal out (who hangs on the apron instead) and threatens Zorro with his own cane, but Tirantes just gets it with no problem. Corner whip towards the cane, so Zorro grabs it, hits his flurry and actually covers. Taboo reveals his purpose in this match by breaking it up. Zorro misses a corner charge on him and goes out, and Taboo follows with a slingshot tope con giro, barely getting far enough away from the ring to save his head. Ilegal drops Escoria with a pumphandle backbreaker, but Cibernético trips him off the ropes. Ilegal slowly and safely drops on his feet. Cibernético gives him a stunner, Escoria adds a top rope legdrop, one two three. Hernandez tries to break it up, Cibernético distracts him, then chokeslams him after the pin.
Bizarros music plays, and Amadeus and Nygma run into stop Hernandez and Ilegal. Zorro ends up chasing Escoria to the back. Tirantes, who is normally a rudo affiliated with these guys, acts as if he's just a normal referee and tries to stop the fight. Bizarros don’t attack him and stop attacking the rudos. Whatever.
Zorro, a bit out of his mind, finds Konnan and rants. Konnan tells him not to worry about the match or the two guys he just left to die - the important thing is he wins the title.
Parka hassles Mesías about Cibernético. Mesías is so annoyed with this, but Parka wants to know how Mesías can be friends with Cibernético if he's going to be attacking Tiger and himself. Mesías sighs.
Match 5: El Mesías, Joe Lider, La Parka Jr. vs Damián 666, Electroshock, Halloween
Villa Charra de Toluca, 11/27/2010
Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 13:12 (6:53+6:19)
Rating: ok
Notes: No entrances. Piero is ref.
Perros jump Mesías and Lider, and Parka and Electroshock just stand and stare at each other. Clip, and they're suddenly fighting. Way to go, editing. The story here is Electroshock continually screws with his partners, moving guys out of the way from their planned spots to beat them himself (the best is when he teases throwing Lider in position for a Lider spear and then moves him out of the way at the last second), passive aggressively feuding with them for killing him previously. Electroshock still fights the técnicos, because that would be too easy. Parka starts the comeback with a headscissors armdrag spot and Lider and Mesías get to hit their flashy moves. Electroshock takes human shields to avoid fighting Parka. Damian and Halloween get annoyed and walk out, then come back, making it every Halloween & Damian match ever. Técnico shoves, including Mesías punching Damian which gets replayed quite a bit – it's much more in Damian turning and falling then the punch. Break while Mesías si still going.
Joe Lider sequence Joe Lider doing Joe Lider moves. It starts raining here, and it's really raining by the time Parka is doing the usual comedy spots with Halloween and Damian. At least it makes the Halloween slide to the floor a little easier! Parka taunts Halloween while Electroshock sets up a windup punch, but Parka takes so long turning around that Electroshock gets exhausted and can't windup any more. Electroshock ends up blatantly fouling Parka on the next sequence, which I think would be the finish if this wasn't TV. They're slipping around the mat now and probably would call it a night if they didn't have time to fill. Piero just ignores it and they clip to more Lider offense. He takes out Damian with a pescado, Mesías and Halloween go back and forth until Mesías get a near fall off a powerslam, then holds Halloween in a submission. Electroshock kicks the wrong man when trying to break it up – Halloween takes a comical bump – and Mesías drops Electro the Straight To Hell. One two three.
Damian and Halloween attack the técnicos. Another break.
Parka clears out the rudos with clotheslines. A Guy In A Pig Mask runs in the ring and attacks Parka. I haven no idea, but Damian and Halloween seem to know him. Clip, rudos surround Electroshock, but he clears them out pretty easily. Konnan's music plays – he passes Pig Mask going the opposite way and they have a moment. Silver King and Ultimo Gladiador rush Electroshock in the ring and behold him so Konnan can get in bat shot to the head. Rudos beat up Mesías and Parka too. Lots of clips in here. Técnicos are on the outside while rudos beat up Electroshock, but come back in with chairs to scare the rudos off. Lots of pointing.
Dorian Roldan is surprised by the Pig Mask guy, but seems to be a friend him. Pig Mask closes the door so they can have a conversation.
