AAA on Televisa #912 (11/14/2009)

Vignette: La Parka is moved by a Dia de la Muertos. OK.

On the phone: Konnan blah blah blah blah blah – demands for Dorian, check.

Recap: Dorian kidnapped, something with Brazo/Hechicera, and now it's just random stuff. Look, hurt Mesías. Chessman! Clowns! I dunno. No can actually get anything of this video package, there's too much stuff.

And then it slows down to show of the fireworks for the opening. 4 sided ring this week.

Match 1: Cuervo, Escoria, Ozz vs El Elegido, La Parka Jr., Pimpinela Escarlata
Auditoio Teopanzolco, Cuernavaca, 10/17/2009

Winner: Tecnicos
Match Time: 10:30 (4:29+6:02)
Rating: Not so good
Notes: Elegido has a hot nun and alter boys. Weird. The inset videos allow them to clip entrances, which is nice. Elegido has different in-ring music this week, just because. Ozz hangs out with the fans before the match, with my or may no be a plot point. Break before Parka's entrance, though it's not immediately clear he's in this match. Slumming in the opener! They really shouldn't have Parka stand in profile for his video, that kinda gives away his size. Pepe Casas is ref. No captains are announced – hey, let me tell you if they DO announce them and you can assume they've dropped them otherwise, save us all some trouble.

Also saving some trouble by not doing play by play for this match. It on the usual tracks, I'll note any derailment. Cuervo is wearing the joker makeup. Maybe he can team up with Nygma? Técnico showcases go Elegido, Pimpi, Parka. Pimpi teases kissing front row fans, decides no to and tags off, then kisses both her teammates. Parka, who is wearing a mask over his mouth, is very disgusted. Match grinds to a halt while Parka complains and Pimpi listens to the otro chant. Crowd loud when they chant, but there's no ambient noise when they don't. It's some micing issue – this don't sound right all night, like the microphone is over miced and the fans are not miced at all. Abrupt break!

Beatdown spot is clipped out. Rudos just are suddenly beating 3 on 3. Lot of individual brawling. If I had to make an unfair judgment I'd say Escoria's doing the most of the three, but it's not a group of tecnicos that are going to help much. Pimpi puts up a fight and is mauled in exchange. Ozz dropkick misses Pimpi and gets his partners to star the comeback. Brawling comeback. Parka pulls Ozz around by his beard, while Pimpi and Elegido wait around for someone to hit. Interestingly (?), Elegido's trunks get pulled down and it's not blurred this week, the first time in forever. Tope on Cuervo takes them both out. Escoria throws himself around into Parka dropkicks, flips on a Park clothesline, and lays on his back watching Ozz clothesline Parka out. Escoria leaps to the apron for something Asai-ish, parka says something to him while he's standing there, Escoria either changes his plans or just loses his timing, because he has to reset himself first, then moonsaults onto his feet, Park moving out of the way. Escoria walks into a single arm spinning backbreaker from Parka. Ozz kicks Pimpi around the ring, almost getting a pin on a kick to the back. Slam, Ozz indicates he's flipping, quebrada comes up empty. Pimpi goes up – missile dropkick flattens Ozz. Pimpi picks him up – a waistlock legscissors cradle? Hard to tell. One two three.

Parka holds Ozz for a kiss post match, but Ozz ducks, and Pimpi accidentally kisses Parka. That's a different way to do that spot. They have issues again, huh. Meanwhile, you can see Ozz explaining what happened to Cuervo and Scoria. Parka sneaks in a kiss on Elegido and laughs, so I guess we're all good. Ozz really wants a handshake from Cuervo for some reason, but no one's paying attention to that – replays of finishing spots instead. Not sure if that angle exists, with how little they're paying attention to it.

Vignette: La Hechicera & El Brazo have a conversation, I presume about how El Brazo hate fat people. This goes nowhere this segment.

Vignette: But there's more! Now they're sharing angry glances, as Hechicera powders her doll? I dunno. Just judging from what else airs, this must've been something after their match. Which we didn't see, so I don't know why they're showing us this.

Match 2: Joe Lider & Nicho el Millionario vs Laredo Kid & Súper Fly
Auditoio Teopanzolco, Cuernavaca, 10/17/2009

Winner: Rudos
Match Time: 10:30 (4:47+5:43)
Rating: better than I figured
Notes: Lider has a hockey mask and a saw. Arturo: “No applause necessary!” Well, that's good that no one's clapping then. Hijo de Tirantes is ref.

Very clearly clipped to in progress. Laredo's dumped to the outside while Super Fly is left in for running clothesline. Lider's wrestling in his belt, again. Double corner dropkicks. Laredo slides back in, gets stomped. Whip, double clothesline. Kick to the back. Corner whip, Lider clothesline, Super Fly pushed in the corner, kicks and punches. Exciting. Corner whip, Nicho whipped in for a clothesline, but Laredo side steps this one and kicks Nicho down. Super Fly waits for Lider to charge, and cuts him down with a missile dropkick. Lider out, Super Fly after with his dive. Laredo back to the apron, and in with a springboard headscissors on Nicho. Off the ropes, and flipping on a clothesline. That comeback died. Replay of Super Fly's dive. Nicho works over Laredo with punches and such. Whip, clothesline misses, Laredo comes back with a headscissors. Laredo off the ropes and uncertain. Running punch, I guess. Off the ropes, clip right as he's going into his handspring move, and back when he's gotten an armdrag. Nicho out, Laredo following with a crazy looking springboard tope con giro to the floor. Looks pretty cool too. Lider and Fly, shoving. Super Fly wins that. Off the ropes, over, under, headscissors since Lider to the ropes. Lider's clotheslines is blocked, Super Fly chest slaps him, rope flip armdrag sends Lider to the ropes. Super Fly springboard armdrag sends him out, and Super Fly fakes the dive. Nicho is waiting behind him, but first a replay of Laredo's dive. Cut back life, and the champs are cutting down Super Fly with a high/low clothesline combo. Laredo is knocked down coming in. Joe Lider with a overhead backbreaker, and Nicho adds a top rope legdrop – that should do it. One two Super Fly breaks it up. Lider could've stopped him if he wasn't too busy posing. Chop battle, and Super Fly wins that again. Lider can't stand with Super Fly. Big chest slap for Nicho too. Kick, random break.

Super Fly corner whip, reversed, Nicho charges in, Super Fly puts him on top, Nicho tries to kick him away, Super Fly blocks, goes up with no further problem, and pulls him off with a top rope headscissors. Stomps. Double whip, double spinebuster. Laredo with a whip, hiptoss on Nicho, hiptoss on Super Fly on top of Nicho, adding a legdrop of his own. Both Air Force members cover, but Hijo de Tirantes blows off the pin. So there we go. Lider comes back in and breaks it up anyway. Laredo kicks him around. Whip, dropkick to the knee, dropkick to the shoulder, springboard senton from Super Fly, springboard splash by Laredo, both cover, Hijo de Tirantes gets down to count, fails to actually count, and Nicho breaks it up with a dropkick. Nicho would've broken it up in plenty of time anyway, but this is more about getting Hijo de Tirantes over. Técnicos confront him about his failure to count. Clip, and Nicho's attacking them both from behind. Nicho gives Laredo a jawbreaker, Laredo stumbles into a Lider kick, Nicho holds him up, and Lider adds a running bulldog to his STO. One two NO. Fast count, after than he was doing either. Lider headbutts Super Fly a couple times, then drops him with a double underhook side slam. Nicho off both sides of ropes, lighting legdrop, one two no. Laredo springboard 'rana, one, Lider breaks it up. Didn't seem like Hijo de Tirantes was ever going to count to two there anyway, though I'm not sure why he's counting to one. Leg DDT variant by Lider, but Super Fly breaks up the pin before even Hijo de Tirantes can start counting. Super Fly German Suplex, and Hijo de Tirantes just breaks it up. Super Fly is angry, but too hurt to do anything about it, I guess. Tag champs need to help the referee out and actually win this. Técnicos are whipped into e ach other and then DDTed. Nicho leaves the ring, walking toward the entrance. He brings his own table to ringside, as Lider sets up Laredo Kid on the outside. Sensing an injury angle that'll be ignored next week. Laredo fights back, free of Lider, and then climbs up on the second top to join him. “rana to the floor? No, Lider fouls him, loads him on his shoulders, and death valley drivers him throw a table (or, off the side of the table, which does not break.) Both guys are dead. In the ring, Nicho rushes at Super Fly with a chair. Super Fly ducks, then walks over to Nicho, who kicks kicks him, but not really. Nicho charges with out the chair, misses, and brains himself in the corner. Super Fly gets the chair, but of course Hijo de Tirantes grabs it. Tug of war is won by Super Fly, but Nicho wheel kicks it in his face. One two three.

Replay of the finish, which is interrupted by Cibernético's music. Don't be confused, the guys from the last match are long gone, they just couldn't show the whole finish without moving on the next thing. Crowd is as loud for Cibernético as they've been for anything all night.

Blah blah Pena blah blah Konnan. For what it's worth, crowd seemed to be into the speech at the end.

Vignette: Apaches talk about the Americans while the Americans warn up by placing their hadns on the wall and standing oddly. OK.

Match 3: Cinthia Moreno, Fabi Apache, Mari Apache vs Goddess, Jennifer Blake, Rain
Auditoio Teopanzolco, Cuernavaca, 10/17/2009

Winner: tecnicos
Match Time: 7:35
Rating: not something you need to ever see. Could've been worse.
Notes: You know who could've actually used promo time? The person who's a técnico this week. Wait, Konnan's going to wrestle with the women now? Nice hat! Oh, he's just here to retort Cibernético and introduce the foreign women. Blake is “Blade” this week. Goddess is waring her mask but takes it off in the ring. Does Rain have her indy music? How do I know Rain's indy music? Appalled at my own geekery, and I may not even be correct here. Piero is ref, and is talking to the tecnicas when the rudas decide to jump them. Hey, they announce captains, Goddess and Fabi. I wonder if that'll be important later.

Brawling. I guess Konnan is staying at ringside to act as Man In Hat. Clips. Jennifer Blade kicks Cinthia Moreno in the corner roughly 200 times. Now Konnan is bored and walking off. Why is Mari standing on the apron watching. Double clothesline on Cinthia is not so good. Blade bulldog on Mari is not so much better. Match isn't any good before they go a break.

Técnicos are in control after the break. Of course they are. I had to rewind to see if I somehow missed a spot before the break, but no. I'm not sure they even clipped it out, Cinthia and Mari just deiced to start beating up the foreign women. Fabi's still on the ground until she realizes it's on. Ring is cleared quick, Rain taking a drop toe hold and dropkick to the face, plus sliding dropkick to knock her out of the ring. Corner clothesline for blade, Running kick to the face, rolling kick to he head by Cinthia. Replay of that. Whip for Goddess, lift, spin and spinebuster drop by Cinthia, Apache kicks to the head melody for Goddess. Rain back in, though the director is more concerned with Goddess doing on the outside. Fabi and Rain takes turns shaking each other by the hair, Rain tries a sunset flip, Fabi rolls thru and dropkick her in the face. Tag to Mari. Rain slips free of the powerbomb, and slips in a chinbreaker. Tag to Goddess. Forearms. Whip, reversed, Clothesline is caught, Goddess turns it around into a slow backbreaker. Legdrop, cover, one two NO. Goddess picks up Mari, but Mari clothesline her down. Tapatía! Goddess hangs on, and Mari lets her drop. Kick to the face. Mari stands Goddess up, and just crushes her the girl with a forearm to the face! Goddess must be too stunned to fall down, so Mari smacks her in the side of the head with a clothesline. Goddess wants to tag out, but no one's taking it. Mari tags out to Cinthia, who stomps Goddess and brings her back. Whip, reversed, Goddess knees Cinthia in the midsection. Goddess poses, and gets pulled into an inside cradle one two NO. Cinthia misses a clothesline, grabs Goddess in a waistlock on the next pass, atomic drop, and the farmer's spins her around. Jennifer Blade and Rain have a discussion about something here. In the middle of this, the rudos and técnicos decide they've been standing at the wrong corners all match, and shift down one. How weird. Bridging pin by Cinthia, and Blade breaks it up. Kicks and stomps. Jennifer Blade has one thrust kick to the midsection he like he's doing – likes doing too much, so Cinthia grabs the leg and pulls her into a half crab. Blade fights and acts as though her knee may snap off, but Cinthia just lets go. Whip, Blade back with a plancha, Piero stands around looking at it instead of counting, then counts, one two Cinthia finally gets to bridge out. What happened there? Blade misses a clothesline, Cinthia pulls her down by her hair. Blade back to that thrust kick. One two Apaches break it up. Goddess into attack both of them, Rain taking them down from behind. Rain accidentally forearms her partner when going for Mari, though she gets Mari on the next pass. Cut to someone apparently famous in the crowd, though not so much I actually know who it is. Captains left in. Goddess with a kick off the ropes, swinging neckbreaker. Times like this, I wish I remembered what Goddess' move was. Fabi breaks free from Goddess, double underhook, Goddess gets free, short clothesline misses, Dragon Suplex by Fabi one two three.

Before they're even back to showing the ring (as opposed to the fans), Rain and Blade are stomping down Goddess with no explanations. Announcers are not really paying attention to it, setting up the break even as the camera focuses on the attacks. Just as the tecnicas are returning to the ring, they cut away. There's absolutely no idea anyone would have any idea what just happened unless you're following this beyond the TV show.

Vignette: Jack Evans is hanging out being Jack Evans, when X-Pac wanders in. I guess they're in the AAA offices? Or maybe backstage? X-Pac says he was getting his head straight, I guess. Jack tells X-Pac about the volume of changes since X-Pac's been around. As he's saying that, Konnan and A Mysterious Ski Masked Man Who May Be Russian walk in from the door X-Pac just came out of, behind Jack, and exit stage right. X-Pac kinda grabbed Jack's shoulder and positioned him so he couldn't see what was happening there – accident? Clue? The comedy of the conversation is supposed to be Jack taking about how they got Konnan out of AAA, but I think it's actually how neither man can remember Rocky Romero's name. X-Pac says his goodbyes, and Jack goes back to dancing with himself.

Backstage: Blade and Rain are upset about their loss, shoving a camera person away – are we supposed to notice to back of the women they show at the end? She's standing in a way where we're supposed to notice, but I have no idea who it is. Who knows.

In-Ring: Roldan's already there, and Konnan's demanding Alex's return from backstage. And then it's over. OK.

Mesías walks to the ring, limping. He's just so badly hurt from last week. He needs help getting into the ring! So sad. He's not even excited for his fireworks! Mesías explains the painful injury from last week. Mesías can't help by pace around the ring as he talks, and that leg injury seems to come and go while he's pacing. Anyway, Marco's taking his place

Match 4: Marco Corleone vs Chessman
Auditoio Teopanzolco, Cuernavaca, 10/17/2009

Winner: Marco via DQ
Match Time: 5:01 (1:37+3:24)
Rating: by the numbers for what time they had
Notes: Piero is ref. Mesías seems to vanish somewhere in here.

Chessman tries a running clothesline on Marco, but Marco's unbudged. They miss his hip swivel on the camera shot, good work. Marco shoulderblock Chessman down, then clothesline him out. Marco going to dive? No, sliding dropkick. Chessman into the post. Chessman looks short next to Marco. Whip toward the barricade, reversed, but Marco leaps to the light tower, kicks Marco away, climbs up, and drops off with a big clothesline. Break.

Both back insider. Marco whips Chessman to the corner, Chessman flips to the apron. Marco charges anyway, Chessman shoulderblocks him. And climbs up. Marco stop him with a punch and joins him up top. Superplex. Cover, one two NO. Corner whip, reversed, Marco kip up and out, leapfrog over Piero, leapfrog back the other way over Piero, and Chessman takes down Marco with a superkick. Chessman is proud of himself. He's got his supporters, too. Chessman goes up, top rope legdrop connects. Cover. One two, foot on the ropes. Oh, wait, I guess Mesías is still there. He's wearing a hoodie, a cap, and jeans, he kinda blends in. Chessman suplex. Marco trying to draw form the crowd. Crowd not there for him. Chessman grabs Marco, but Marco fights back with three left hands. Off the ropes, Chessman spear! Cover him Chessman! Chessman opts to lay on his back instead. Replay. Chessman's on the outside, grabbing a chair to bring in. Chair to the midsection, chair to the midsection, kick to the midsection, chair to the back. Piero sees all of this and will allow it. Chessman stands on the unfolded chair and poses – and Marco dropkicks him right off it. Chessman out, and Marco signals – superman dive to the floor. Marco back in the ring and posing, giving us a good shot of the mysterious ski masked man making his way to the ring. I wonder if this is the same mask from when he debuted? The intruder has a chair, and he jabs Mesías in the bad leg with it. Marco is slow to alert Mesías, and slower to do anything about it it. Ski masked man comes in, misses on his charge (Marco leapfrogging), and Marco stone punches the chair away from him. Marco swings, but Masked Man fouls him him first. Not the best foul– he kinda got his leg stuck before connecting all the way. Piero goes crazy and gives the match to Marco – see, the run-in was a-okay until the foul.

Masked Man is shocked at the DQ, and appears to have no further plan than to stand in the ring and look at Marco, then look at Piero while the AAA music plays. This is not one of the Legion's better ideas. Masked Man finally decides to take off when the entire AAA locker room reaches the ring, but Super Fly catches him before he gets into the crowd. Is that Billy Boy out there? Did he get new gear? It takes eight people to hold him down and pull his mask off – it's Alex Koslov, of course. With new blond here. Before Roldan can even ask Alex where Konnan is, Konnan's music starts to play. Maybe he should've asked the music guy? Konnan demands the safe return of Alex Koslov if he ever wants to see the safe return of Dorian. Konnan gets his phone to call out his man at the (kidnapping) scene, but Alex is freed. Chessman is helped to the back during this. I guess Alex gets his job back, but Roldan demands the return of his son, or he'll face the consequences. Konnan still wants his demands met.

Backstage: Marco checks a cut on his hip, which involved pulling down his tights. Thanks for that. Also, Mesías' leg bruise is hurt even more.

Match 5: Dr. Wagner Jr., Electroshock, Silver King vs Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown
Auditoio Teopanzolco, Cuernavaca, 10/17/2009

Winner: Clowns
Match Time: 13:07
Rating: OK
Notes: Wagner gives the Wagner Touch to his partners, but shuts down Monster Clown. Clowns are announced at 478 wins. Crowd loud behind Dr. Wagner. No captains. Hijo de Tirantes is ref.

Electro and Monster start, Electro throwing Monster around with an armdrag. Monster off the ropes, into a monkey flip. Electroshock bad headscissors. Dropkick misses. Monster adds a senton, Electro gets him with a RKO. Tags to Silver and Psycho. Off the ropes, over, and dropping Silver King with a clothesline. Psycho celebrates. Cut to the shot of the crowd not caring. Psycho and Silver do reversals until Silver King ends up with a powerslam. Shining Wizard. Replay of that powerslam. Tease of a tag to Wagner. He gets it, to face Murder Clown. Murder Clown is wearing pants with “K” on them. What could K stand for? It's a mystery! Lockup, and Murder powers Wagner away. Murder splashes him in the corner with a plancha. Chops. Corner whip, Wagner moves out of the way of the charge, Murder still knees him in the head. Whip, clothesline misses, head down too soon, and Wagner kicks it. Wagner tries another clothesline, but it's reversed in Murder's own clothesline. Wagner shoved into the corner, no one's home on the charge, and Murder turns around into a backdrop. Kick to the head. Wagner grabs Murder's back, and the Clowns rush in to stomp him. Beatdown from there, brawling randomly all over the place. Psycho and Silver King disappear in to the crowd, while Monster goes for Wagner's mask. Psycho works Silver King over with a plastic chair. Wagner falls out of tree of woe, and just stand up, posing. Electroshock no sells the Clowns open hand slaps until they hammer him two at a time. Wagner cuts talks to the announcers. Superplex by Murder Clown, flying headbutt to the groin by Psycho. Wagner tries chopping everyone, and gets forearmed down. Murder get tossed into the flying sit. Wagner held for chops. Whip, Wagner ducks a double clothesline, and clotheslines Psycho as Murder is eventually pulled out. Monster tries a kick, caught and Dragon screw whip for him. One for Psycho Clown too. WagnerManiacs take the ring, to minor reaction. They do start cheering for Silver's teased chair shot on Psycho, once he gets around to teasing it. Electroshock jumps off the apron for a spinning DDT on Murder – it's cut to out of nowhere.

After a replay of the chair shot, things go back to one on one. Monster and Silver King exchange chops. Whip, Monster's head down too soon, Silver King kicks him, and Electro and Silver King kinda hits a low dropkick, high clothesline thing at the same time. Wagner adds the dropkick to the head. Killer Clown gets worked over next, hammered with forearms to the back from everyone. They try to pull of his shirt for chest slaps, but that doesn't work well Corner whip, Wagner running kick to the chest, Silver King middle rope dropkick, Electroshock RKO. Silver King covers, but the other clowns break it up and kick him out. Murder goes out as well, and the WagnerMancias beat the Clowns in the corners. Whips end up with Electro whipped into Monster, Electroshock is clotheslines down. Wagner clotheslines Monster, Psycho whiffs on Wagner, whiffs on a mule kick, Wagner grabs the leg, spins it to Electro to hold, Wagner grabs Monster's leg, and both get in dragon screw leg whips. Electro dropkicks Psycho out for good measure, while Monster just rolls out. Clip, and suddenly Electroshock is topeing Psycho. Wagner off the apron tope con giro on Monster. Killer and Silver in, Killer misses a corner splash, Silver punches him and goes to the middle rope. Tornado DDT works. Silver King Covers. One t-Hijo de Tirantes stops counting, kickout. Konnan's music plays for the fourth or fifth time tonight, and he's out to argue with Silver King. Guess he's blaming him for leaving the Legion too. The women are there, of course, and conversing with Hijo de Tirantes, while Killer presses Silver King into a powerbomb. One two three. Fair count, though not so much before.

Clowns kind leave with the Legion, though it's not really clear if they're together. WagnerManiacs watch from the ring.

Vignette: Silver King is apparently laid out by Konnan and the Legion sometime after this, and has to be checked on by the doctors and the WagnerManiacs.

Oh, wait, here's the beatdown. It's Konnan, Chessman, and I think that's Alex. Why they showed us the recap of this before showing this segment, I'm not sure. Electroshock and Wagner show up from where ever they were to make the delayed save. Alex gets hit with a chair for staying too long. Electro checks to see if Silver King's heart is still beating – I'm going with yes. Konnan laid on him and punched him a bit, I think he'll be OK next week.

And that's it.
