AAA Mini Line - 07/28/07 (#791)
Recap: spread out over a large portion of months

Match 1: Ángel Mortal, Gallego, Mr. Cóndor vs Canibal, Hombre Sin Miedo, Takeda
Arena Coliseo Monterrey, 07/01/2007

Winner: Tecnicos
Match Time: 6:16
Notes: Rudos jump tecnicos at the bell, HsM starts the comeback at about 2:00. Tecnico showcase, HsM and Takeda dive out, Canbial takes far too long to finish off the Diabolico that's left, and ends up taking a triple powerbomb.

Vignette: Fabi waits for Gran Apache at the coffee bar. Apache tries to talk his way out of getting yelled at for his lateness, and then bails so Alfa and Fabi can get to know each other.

Match 2: Fabi Apache & La Diabólica vs Estrellita & Sexy Star
Arena Coliseo Monterrey, 07/01/2007

Winner: Rudas
Match Time: 5:30
Notes: No entrances. While they're standing around before introductions, the crowd chants for Fabi and not the other three, but it sounds like it's just a few people. Copetes is ref. Rudas jump tecnicas before the bell, tecnicas quickly turn it around on a missed corner charge that's not really much missed. Endgame starts with Estrellita dropping on Diabolica with a top rope tornillo. Estrellita's legs hit the ground awkwardly, and she limps to the back while the match is still going. Sexi Star gets rollups on Fabi Apache, but Copetes slow counts. Estrellita limps back out (after a bit, because there's a clip in here), with the plastic top of some container. Before she can even think about using it, Gran Apache and Alfa are out to attack the tecnicas. Sexi Star is thrown from the top rope, and Fabi gives her a Dragon suplex for the win.

Vignette: Mesias gets in argument with the Foreign Legion.

Match 3: Alan, Alfa, Gran Apache, Super Calo vs Aero Star, Laredo Kid, Pegasso, Super Fly
Arena Coliseo Monterrey, 07/01/2007

Winner: Rudos
Match Time: 12:37
Other Match Notes: Aero Star is dressed like Spiderman here. Air Force look towards the entrance for the rudos to come in, which of course means they're attacking from behind. Rudo beatdown to start. Hijo de Tirantes is ref, and wearing baclk suspenders over a black shirt. Break before the match gets going, and I think a few months off before picking this up.

Beatdown is four minutes of rudo destruction until all the rudos miss a corner charge on Super Fly at the same time. I have no idea what they were thinking. Tecnico beatdown on Apache and Calo until the other two make the save and turn it into more one on ones. Aero Star is much better in 2008 than he is at this point - his high flying is the same, but he's a lot less clueless in between it. Super Fly makes good use of the ramp leading to the ring to do some different stuff. Laredo Kid has a tight tornillo to the floor on Calo, but may have hit his head on impact. Hijo de Tirantes hurries out to check, but it doesn't effect the rest of the match. A Dive train starts with Aero Star's blind springboard reverse tope, which makes it tougher for the next couple of dives. Super Fly eventually gets his in. Laredo suplexes him and calls for a top rope move, but Fabi arrives and shakes the ropes. Laredo is more distracted than hurt, and chases Fabi up the ramp. Laredo thinks about hitting her, but Gran Apache grabs him, picks him up, and gives him a running crucifix powerbomb into the ring. Top rope senton con giro is probably not needed but still fun.

Rudos celebrate big, then destroy the tecnicos after the match. Masks are taken, challenges are made. Alfa is officially welcomed into the group.

Noti AAA
- Legion spray painted Cibernetico's shirt!
- Cibernetico wants revenge and to point at the camera a lot. My favorite part of this is how a bug flies thru the picture, and they just keep on rolling
- Ozz & Cuervo have titles and ladders and are totally ready for TripleMania
- Fuerza gets his chance to talk
- Alan and Scorpio drive around and talk about their TripleMania match
- Hell Brothers talk about TripleMania. They want the Legion's hair
- Cibernetico gets to cut another promo

Promo: Fuerza talks about what led up to the next match. Juvi gets to retort, and apologizes to his mom about what he's going to do to his dad.

Match 4: Fuerza Guerrera vs Juventud Guerrera in a street fight
Arena Coliseo Monterrey, 07/01/2007

Winner: Fuerza Guerrera.
Match Time: 17:20
Other Match Notes: Sangre Chicana and Joe Lider are seconds and also here to fight all match long. Copetes is ref, so this one is pretty set.

Both rudos jump both tecnicos after the whistle, using the lid from a cooler, and that's pretty much how this one is going to be. Juvi's dominated for the first five minutes, finally slips in a Fuerza punt on Fuerza himself, and Sangre comes in to break up the eventual pin (which takes a while, because Copetes doesn't want to count it anyway.) Lots of Copetes slow and no counts from there. Fans were into it, I was not. Fuerza's mask gets ripped massively, and his face gets so exposed that they have to blur it out at points. Sangre steals a La Parka mask and gives it to Fuerza so he'll have something to cover himself up. Guys appear to be trying hard, but it's clearly secondarily to the interference and referee chicanery. Fuerza gets the win with a half crab.

Match 5: Abismo Negro, Antifaz del Norte, Histeria vs Charly Manson, Chessman, Zorro
Arena Coliseo Monterrey, 07/01/2007

Winner: Tecnicos by DQ
Match Time: 11:13
Other Match Notes: Vipers jump the tecnicos before the bell. Everyone gives Chessman vicious monkey flips for some reason, and so eventually Chessman lands on his feet and clothesline fools. Beatdown lasts about 3 minutes. Lots and lots of showcase time for the tecnicos, until Abismo rips Zorro up while going for a dive. Somehow, this leads to a chop battle with Charly Manson. Tons of clipping going on, more to hide spots than anything. Overbooking breaks out. Chessman gets a springboard spear on Antifaz (requiring Antifaz to stand and gape as Chessman gets his balance), Abismo burns Chessman with fire, Zorro canes Abismo and and Antifaz, but stalls on giving Abismo another one and Antifaz grabs the cane, and Abismo gives Zorro the Martinete for a DQ.

Vipers stomp Zorro, who isn't moving. Vipers are pushed out and a glove is tuck in Zorro's mouth so he doesn't seize, always fun.

Match 6: Kenzo Suzuki, Ron Killings, X-Pac vs Cibernetico, La Parka Jr., Latin Lover
Arena Coliseo Monterrey, 07/01/2007

Winner: Tecnicos
Match Time: 9:20
Other Match Notes: Konnan is out with Kenzo. Alicia is out with X-Pac. There's a winner there. Cibernetico's out first and jumped. So is Latin. They're so busy working over those two, they kinda forget about Parka, and he turns the tide. Copetes and Hijo de Tirantes take up room in the small-ish ring. Legion threatens to walk until the tecnicos back off. Crowd is way into the match for the participants if not the action. Parka nearly beats Ron Killings with a toe hold (!!!) until Kenzo makes the save. Cibernetico spears Kenzo soon after, and chokeslams him for the win. I didn't realize Kenzo was the captain, but I guess that works. I'm utterly baffled by a clean finish in a main event. Is this really lucha libre?

After the match, Mesias, looking beat up, argues with Konnan and says he's leaving to team with Cibernetico. Cibernetico's got no idea but is okay with this. Then Konnan yells at Mesias some, but we're interrupted by Abismo Negro. Crowd quickly gets on his side, even before he declares he loves Mexico so much the Vipers are no long on Konnan's side. Cibernetico can't believe how good his day is going, and dares to to use the Mesias catchphrase. This is somehow the cue for the beatdown, as the rudos reveal reveal they were just jokin'. The Legion/Sect/Vipers just felt like putting on a show, I guess. We get a cut to backstage, where Chessman's burn is being tended too by the doctor and Charly. They're alerted Cibernetico's getting beat and go to help out, only to immediately get beat down by Antifaz and Histeria. The doctor stands in the background, mostly bored. Back in the ring, Abismo gives Latin Lover the Martinete as Konnan waves goodbye. Cibernetico and Parka are destroyed and left laying, while Latin is stretchered out. Cibernetico recovers to put a Mexico flag around his shoulders and cut a promo.

That's it.
