Villanos Gym vs IWRG Trainees. Villano IV & V were their with their team and Black Terry & Hijo del Diablo with the IWRG team. After one of the Villanos trainees failed to catch Alan Extreme on a dive, the trainers almost fought. Ray Mendoza also posted Fresero, busting him open. Fresero managed to the final against Negro Casasola had him in a submission, but the referee was acting suspicious and missed it. Casasola came back to pin Fresero to take the crown for team Villano Gym. Referee posed with the Villanos after the match.

Cibernetico: part 1, part 2

IWRG (THU) 05/05/2011 Arena Naucalpan [Black Terry Jr. (flickr), Estrellas del Ring, Record]
1) Centurión & Rolling Boy b Carta Brava Jr. & El Imposible
2) Eterno & Hijo del Pantera b Alan Extreme & El Pollo Asesino
3) Multifacético, Negro Navarro, Trauma II b Comando Negro, Fresero Jr., Pirata Morgan
4) Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Silver King, Último Gladiador b Ray Mendoza Jr., Trauma I, Villano IV
After taking the first fall, the team of Trauma and the Villanos fell apart in the third fall. Villanos turned on Trauma, allowing the Maniaco team to win, then attacked Trauma I more affter the bell. Trauma II, Negro Navarro and Multifacetico attempted to make the save, but Trauma II took a martinete along the line. Villanos are now allied with Silver King.

Very low attendance.

La Presna sees tonight’s Arena Mexico show as more La Mascara vs Ultimo Guerrero. Also, the new Terrible/Texano/Rey Bucanero trio teams up in the semimain, and the first two quarterfinals in Forjando Un Idolo (Diamante/Fuego + Angel de Oro/Guerrero Maya) take place.

CMLL on NJPW – Mascara Dorada’s Best of the Super Juniors matches (schedule here)
05/26 (S): Jushin Liger vs Mascara Dorada
05/28 (S): off
05/29 (S): TAKA Michinoku vs Mascara Dorada
06/02: Kota Ibushi vs Mascara Dorada
06/03: Ryusuke Taguchi vs Mascara Dorada
06/04: The Great Sasuke vs Mascara Dorada
06/05: Daisuke Sasaki vs Mascara Dorada
06/07 (S): Gedo vs Mascara Dorada
06/08 (S): KUSHIDA vs Mascara Dorada
06/10 (S): semifinals, finals.

That’s a front loaded schedule! The three most winnable matches are the three last matches, so don’t be too concerned if Dorada has a really bad point total for a while. Opening up with the Liger match is very interesting.

All dates with (S) are Samurai! TV tapings. The shows that aren’t taped for TV stand a very good shot of turning up on NJPW’s YouTube channel. Less so for the TV tapings.

01/10: IWRG, Neza, Mexico, lineups

IWRG (THU) 01/01 Arena Naucalpan [the gladiatores]
1) Trauma II b Imperio Azteca
2) Oficial AK-47 & Trauma I b Gemelo Fantastico I & Gemelo Fantastico II
3) Oficial 911, Oficial Fierro, Toxico AAA b Chico Che, Trauma II, Zatura
4) Dr. Cerebro L Pirata Morgan Jr., Veneno, Capitán Muerte, Nemesis (IWRG), King Drako [cage, semifinal]
5) Cerebro Negro L Barba Roja, Multifacético, Tetsuya, Pendulo, Jack [cage, semifinal]
6) Dr. Cerebro b Cerebro Negro [cage, hair, final]

Both the Pirates edged out both the Cerebros in the cage matches. The Cerebros did not turn on each other, instead talking before their match about how good friends they were and how much respect for each other, even each guy offering to shave their head to save the other and not do the match (or to do a double hair/double mask match with the Pirates.) The commission made them do the match, and Dr. Cerebro beat his partner. The Gladiatores recap says the crowd was quiet for all of this – they chalk it up to the fans not realizing the situation. IWRG seems to be setting up a Cerebros vs Pirates match. Probably a title match before they’re down, if only the Pirates had a third man in IWRG…

Trauma II, as a rudo, started the show replacing Shuriken in the opener. Oficial AK47 replaced Trauma II in the second match and teamed fine with Trauma I (including fouling the tecnicos for the win), but then Trauma II came back out to fill on for Freelance in the tercera as a tecnico, fighting the Oficials and Toxico (in for AK47). Confusing!

This appeared to annoy the Oficials as well, as they beat up Trauma II after their win. Trauma I ran out for the save, but was neutralized by Oficial AK47, and the referees had to break up both sides. Looks like a feud between the two units, though it’s not clear if the Traumas are meant to be tecnicos.

Perros (THU) 01/01 Arena Neza [the gladiatores]
1) Fuerza Roja & Moto Cross DRAW Dragon Xtream & Rey Neza
2) La Parkita & Mascarita de Oro b Espectrito de Ultratumba I & Espectrito de Ultratumba II
3) Black Thunder, Hermano Muerte II, Hermano Muerte III b Black Spirit, Carta Brava, XXX
4) Damián 666, Scorpio Jr., Zumbido b Villano III, Villano IV, Villano V
5) Cocolores b Chacmol [hair]
6) Dr. Wagner Jr. & Super Crazy DQ Cibernetico & el Hijo del Perro Aguayo

Continuing the apparent Perros-related main events policy of “Everyone Has Fun, No One Gets A Pin”, Perro yanked Wagner’s mask. Full house.

Al Filo del Ring has quotes from Super Raton and Espantapajaros after 1/1 mask match.

CMLL NGW (THU) 01/08 Durango [Canal10]
2) La Máscara & Volador Jr. b Negro Casas & Rambo
3) La Sombra & Místico b Averno & Mephisto

CMLL (FRI) 01/09 Arena Mexico [Alan, Ovaciones, ESTO, superluchas]
1) Molotov & Starman DQ Inquisidor & Pólvora
2) Amapola, Princesa Sujei, Rosa Negra b Lady Apache, Marcela, Princesa Blanca
3) Euforia b Stuka Jr. [lightning]
4) Felino, Shigeo Okumura, Virus b Mascara Dorada, Máscara Púrpura, Valiente
5) Héctor Garza, Hijo del Fantasma, La Máscara b Heavy Metal, Terrible, Texano Jr.
6) La Sombra, Místico, Volador Jr. b Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto

Volador & Sombra beat the tag champs despite the rudos destroying their gear. They want a tag team title shot, which a pretty good idea (unless you’re Averno & Mephisto) and will get one next week.

Last time a rudo won a lightning match was when Vampiro beat Black Warrior in March of 2005. Though I don’t suppose that counts. So, Sangre Azteca on July 16, 2004. It’s been a while.

Virus snuck in a foul on Purpura. Blanca turned on her teammates in two falls and may finally be a ruda. Lady Apache replaced Lluvia in that match, so she’s still undefeated! Starman got his mask yanked in the open.

Ovaciones also includes a Damian 666 promoting the Perro-involved 01/30 show in SLP. Damian says his appearance on the AAA TJ show does not mean he’s leaving this group. He explains the Perros weren’t on many show lately because they were taking the holidays off.

Arturo Rivera has another column (catching up!) talks about Rellik’s mySpace post, makes vague statements about people going from CMLL to AAA, and evaluating the other announcers.

There’s also stories about Pantera Sureno and Lady Metal teaming up to form Penteras Metalicas and Juvi’s first training seminar (01/31 at the El Cuadrilatero, where he and Fuerza will have a old school/new school debate.)

I missed this yesterday, but Ovaciones posted a note saying CMLL doesn’t know if Dos Caras Jr. is going to WWE. No one knows, but my current estimate is:

45% returns to CMLL
40% goes to WWE
15% goes to AAA or some place else

Fancy way of saying ‘I dunno’.

El Universal interviews the “12” minis cage match. This was from the photoshoot which Tzuki missed, so I think that’s why he’s not counted. Quick sum-up of interesting comments
* Pequeno Ninja: big fan of Dorada so hopes to fight him at the end
* Mini Olimpico & Fantasy: everyone’s on their own, no friends
* Cosmico (listed as 22 years old): wants to stay till the end to win a mask
* Nino de Acero & Shockercito: getting out of the cage ASAP
* Mini Warrior: wants Olimpico or Dorado’s mask

An outdoor show at a fair is not unusual, except if it’s in Colombia.

Abismo Negro is on the cover of Dos de Tres.

Wagnermania posted video of the Copa el Toreo tournament from Arena Lopez Mateos.

Both Dos and V3, huh. Villanos for sure seem to still be on good terms here despite working with Perro Jr. Dos, I’m not sure about.

CMLL (FRI) 01/16 Arena Mexico
1) Metálico & Sombra de Plata vs Camorra & Zayco
2) Dark Angel, Marcela, Sahori vs Amapola, Princesa Blanca, Princesa Sujei
3) Máscara Púrpura vs Virus [lightning]
4) Blue Panther, Shocker, Toscano vs Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas, Villano V
5) Héctor Garza, Mark Corleone, Místico vs Atlantis, Rey Bucanero, Último Guerrero
6) La Sombra & Volador Jr. vs Averno & Mephisto [CMLL TAG]

Yes. A flip from yesterday, with mostly older tecnicos on the underd (and their rivals.) Blanca’s official a ruda.

That’s pretty random, but they are facing off in the semimain trios tommorow.

05/02: Coliseo, IWRG, AULL, Monterrey

CMLL (TUE) 05/01 Arena Coliseo [ova]
1) Vaquero & Zayco b Espiritu Maligno & Karissma
2) Bracito de Oro & Electrico b Fire & Mini Mr. Aguilita
3) Goto, Ohara, Okumura b Brillante, Euforia, Starman
4) Ephesto, Texano Jr., Virus b Metro II, Ogun, Sagrado
5) Misterioso II, Sangre Azteca, Ultimo Guerrero b Blue Panther, Shocker, Volador Jr.
6) Atlantis b Alex Koslov [NWA LH]

Alex put up a good fight and won the first fall, but Atlantis took two and three clean. In the semimain, Ultimo beat Shocker with his own move. Sagrado filled in for Maximo, who still out from his injury on Sunday. They might as well change the teased Maximo/Texano feud to Sagrado/Texano feud – that’s what the feud was here. Euforia filled in for a hurt Leono in the third match – I’m not sure where this leaves the hair match for next Monday – and didn’t get along with his teammates. Mr. Agulita replaces Sombrita in the minis match, but I don’t know if anyone was hurt there.

IWRG (THU) 04/19 Arena Naucalpan [Hector Albores @ thegladiatores]
1) Golem & Puma King b Bacteria & Celestial
2) Cyborg & Hermano Muerte II b Trauma I & Trauma II
3) Astro Boy, Halcon Salvaje, Kid Tiger b Black Terry, Dr. Karonte Jr., Kraneo
4) Enfermero Jr., Mascara Ano 2000 Jr., Veneno b Esfinge, Hijo de Anibal, Suicida
5) Black Warrior, Hijo de Cien Caras, Misterioso II b Alex Koslov, Mistico, Volador Jr.

Cyborg cheated to help his team win (was eliminated, but held the last remaining Trauma down from the outside while he was being pinned), and it sounds like they’re doing something with him and the Traumas. Veneno got turned on by Enfermero Jr. and Mascara Ano 2000 Jr. after their win, for no clear reason. Warrior snuck in a foul on Mistico.

AULL (SUN) 04/22 Arena Lopez Mateos [Jesús Silva Hernández @ thegladiatores]
1) Exterminador & Mini Demonio b Depredador & Star Cat
2) Mr. Potro & Regional b Misterio & Violento

4) Terry 2000 b Rey Krymen [AULL LIGHT]

2) Guerrero Greigo, Kriminal, Potro Jr., Vudu b Enrique Vera, Halcon Matles, Hollywood, Sky

4) Beast, Hijo de Espanto II, Pancho Tequila b Corazon Adicto, Humberto Garza Jr., La Kalaka
5) Intocable b Golden Boy [hair]

In La Presna, Zorro says he was reborn a new man by taking off his mask.

IWRG’s site is still down.

03/18: Naucalpan, Merdia, Accion

IWRG (THU) 03/15 Arena Naucalpan
1) Celestial b Extrano
2) Aguila Oriental, Ave Fenix, Kid Tiger b Black Jaguar, Black Stone, Comando Gama

4) Dandy & Negro Navarro b Villano IV & Villano V
5) Bestia Salvaje, Mascara Ano 2000 Jr., Veneno b El Dandy, Esfinge, Villano III

Villanos turned rudo, with Villano III returning to attack El Dandy in the semimain and those two not working together in the main event. IWRG says the Traumas are on a 18 match winning streak, and it’s Sunday so I’m not doing the research.

AAA ARONJA (SUN) 03/18 Poliforum Zamna de Merida [El Mitomano]
1) Angel Infernal & Estrella de Fuego b Imperio Dorado & Imperio Maya
2) Halcon Rojo, Halcon Rojo Jr., Lobo Salvaje b Amenaza Roja, Cobraman, Coloso
3) Laredo Kid, Nemesis AAA, Rey Cometa b Alan, Decnnis, El Brazo
4) La Parkita, Martha Villalobos, Pimpinela b Mini Psicosis, Polvo de Estrellas, Tiffany
5) Gronda II, Intocable, Mascara Divina b Chris Stone, Hator, Scorpio Jr. [cage]

It’s always weird to see posts like (the actual) Hijo de Santo on leaving a message to listen to him on the radio, so you can hear his side of the CMLL fallout. Did anyone hear this? Is it different from what he said ?

Accion had

CMLL: Hector/Perro/Damian vs Alex/Marco/Shocker – Baby Richards is wearing Orange? Almost all High Society spots. Corelone does the hipswivel, and Perro fouls him. Seems fair enough.

AAA: Apache/Polvo/Fabi/Mini Chessman vs Billy/Pimpi/Sexi Star/Octagoncito from Tlaxcala. Octagon has a nice springboard tonillo. Funny how the skeletal replay shows a six sided ring – this week, they’re in a four corner one. Apache fouls Billy for the win, and that’s that.

Nothing on Santo, as far as I saw.
