Perro Aguayo Jr. vs anyone named Garza, Dragon Rojo keeps one title, agrees to defend other

AAA LyC (SUN) 10/21/2012 Arena Coliseo Monterrey
***Arena Coliseo 57th Anniversary***
1) Chamaco Gurrola, Darkgenis, Mini Hator b Crazy 93, Extreme Boy, Mini Neurosis
2) Jennifer Blake b Lady Puma, La Hiedra
3) Antifaz del Norte b Máscara Púrpura, Rico Rodriguez, El Tackle, Lumino, Gabanelli, Genocida, Perseus, Bengali, Angel Dorado Jr., Rey Imagen, Caballo Dorado, Potro, Rey Orion [Copa 57 Anniversary]
Antifaz defeated Mascara Purpura to win the cup (though no trophy was actually seen)
4) Difunto I, Monje Negro Jr., Pirata Morgan b Gemelo Muerte I, Gemelo Muerte II, Super Parka
Pirata was with LUM’s Hombre de Negro & La Monjita, and won with an unseen foul on Super Parka.
5) Hijo del Ninja, Humberto Garza, Zumbi DQ Cuervo, Espíritu, Ozz
Zumbi replaced Hector Garza, who appeared earlier in the show with the rest of his family (Mascara Purpura, Humberto Jr. and Hijo del Ninja.) Humberto thanked the fans on Hector’s behalf, saying Hector couldn’t talk. Perro interrupted to challenge Hector to get better so he could beat him for his hair in his home town of Monterrey. Humberto and Ninja angrily challenged Perro. Perro didn’t seem interest, so Hector took the microphone and talked to make the challenge on behalf of his family (Pupura included.) Perro promised to cause the Garza’s problems later. The men in the crowd have turned on Hijo de Ninja. Garzas were about to win when Perros ran in for the DQ.
6) Jack Evans & La Parka b el Hijo del Perro Aguayo & Nicho el Millionario
Nicho replaced Teddy, said to be out with an injury but wrestled in Canada the night before. Crowd was divided. Jack took out Nicho with his dive, Parka knocked down the ref by mistake, Perro fouled him and covered, Humberto Garza ran in to foul Perro and put Parka on top for the win. Challenges followed.

LyC is hyping a big show in December. Humberto vs Perro in a hair match would do good business here and the angle at the end points that direction. Ninja vs Perro would be more difficult – Ninja is the centerpiece here but losing strong to Perro maybe proves something to the fans who dislike him? – but there’s never any guarantee anything will happen.

LyC posted Saturday morning that Teddy was injured and would be replaced. Instead, Teddy wrestled and won tag team titles in Real Canada Wrestling that night, a promotion in Edmonton.  That match also included the guy who won the AAA tryout seminar and the guy who debuted on TV as Uro Rocker. Teddy’s gone from being out of AAA to being in well enough that he get friends and associates jobs. There was some warning that Teddy would be gone from AAA if he started misbehaving, but I’d be surprised if that was the case.

They seem to be surprised about Teddy not wrestling either (and really didn’t lose anything by switching from Teddy to Nicho or saying Teddy was hurt rather than just missing the show; they’re probably innocent on this.)

CMLL (SUN) 10/21/2012 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Cancha, El Occidental, Informador]
1) Sádico b Brillante
Sadico used a top rope ‘rana to win.
2) Mr. Trueno & Rey Trueno b Black Metal & Javier Cruz Jr.
3) Demonio Maya & Maléfico b El Divino & Máscara Mágica
Malefico snuck in a foul on Mascara Magica.
4) Bárbaro Cavernario, In Memoriam, Infierno b Eros, Gallo, Leo
A Rafaga distraction set up the win.
5) Hijo del Fantasma, Máximo, Valiente b Dragón Rojo Jr., Niebla Roja, Sangre Azteca
Tecnicos took 2/3, Fantasma small packaging Rojo, setting up a Fantasma vs Rojo title match.

I think they are setting up a cage match with the locals here. Not totally sure.

CMLL (MON) 10/22/2012 Arena Puebla [@CMLL_OFICIAL, CMLL]
1) Black Tiger & Tigre Rojo Jr. b Akron & Policeman
2) Taurus b Super Halcon Jr. [lightning]
Taurus won in just over six minutes.
3) Hombre Bala Jr., Magnus, Stigma b Artillero, Inquisidor, Súper Comando
Tecnicos took 2/3, Magnus defeating Inquisidor with a backcracker.
4) Sagrado, Stuka Jr., Triton b Misterioso Jr., Sangre Azteca, Virus
Tecnicos took 2/3, Sagrado surprising Misterioso with a cradle for the win. Virus & Sangre were annoyed with Misterioso for blowing the match.
5) Marco Corleone, Máximo, Rush DQ Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Último Guerrero
Tecnicos took 1/3, Terrible fouled Rush. Bucanero hurt a knee in the third fall.
6) Dragón Rojo Jr. b Valiente [CMLL MIDDLE]
Dragon Rojo came in as champion. Seconds were Super Comando & Stuka. Dragon Rojo took the first with a cristo invertido, Valiente came back in the second with an armbar, Dragon won fall three and kept the title with the Dragon Bomb.

Today’s Arena Mexico trio main event is Reyes del Atlantida versus Depreadors de Aire, a rematch of the Mexican Trios Title title change back in June. This is the first time Volador, Black Warrior, and Mr. Aguila have teamed up since winning the titles four months ago; that CMLL Gaceta article sort of implies this dispersal act was all a fiendish plan by the rudos so Atlantis, Delta and Guerrero Maya couldn’t beat them and get a rematch. In reality, these national trios titles have a long history of going to a random assembly of three men because the programming idea likes the idea of them being a team, but then quickly losing interest in them as a team. Atlantis squad did well, but the preceding champions were also trios who never teamed except to defend the belts or teams that lost their belts because one of the champions just wasn’t interested in defending the belts. Programming has plans for the these teams up to the time when they win the titles, but rarely past that.

On Sunday’s Arena Azteca Budokan show, Martha Villalobos appeared to announce she’d be retiring on an upcoming show. Rossy Moreno immediately challenged her, so it’ll probably be some trios match involving them.

AAA’s put up a schedule of upcoming Twitter live cam chats

11/08: Psycho Circus

Lineups

Robin replaces Tigre Blanco and Tiffany replaced Lady Apache on Friday. The women’s change means the women’s match isn’t the resumption of the Lady Apache/Dark Angel feud.

CMLL (SUN) 10/28/2012 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Azteca de Oro vs Acertijo
2) Gallo vs Smaker, Leo, Ráfaga, In Memoriam, Esfinge, Bárbaro Cavernario, Infierno, Eros, Espectrum [seeding battle royal]
3) 1, 2, 3 vs 4, 5, 6
4) 7 & 8 vs 10 & 9
5) Guerrero Maya Jr. & Rey Cometa vs Puma King & Tiger
6) Dragón Rojo Jr. vs Hijo del Fantasma [NWA MIDDLE]

Nice of Dragon Rojo to evenly distribute the title defenses. He could just defend both them at the same time, but let’s not go crazy. Semimian looks very fun. Undercard is right out of every other Arena Aficion card.

CMLL (SUN) 10/28/2012 Arena Coliseo
1) Freesbe & Oro Jr. vs Camorra & Cholo
2) Höruz, Leono, Stigma vs Ramstein, Súper Comando, Zayco
3) Molotov vs Cancerbero [lightning]
4) Ángel Azteca Jr., Fuego, Sagrado vs Sangre Azteca, Shigeo Okumura, Virus
5) Ángel de Oro, Blue Panther, Máscara Dorada vs Averno, Ephesto, Pólvora
6) Diamante Azul, La Máscara, Shocker vs Felino, Tama Tonga, Terrible

Scratch that tag title match, but Azul vs Tonga still seems possible. Maybe he can defend the Mexico City Heavyweight Title! (They’ve been doing much more non-title singles matches of late.)

CMLL (MON) 10/29/2012 Arena Puebla
1) Dinámikoo & Tigre Rojo Jr. vs Ares & Centauro de Fuego
2) Höruz vs Cholo [lightning]
3) Asturiano, Metálico, Molotov vs Bobby Zavala, Disturbio, Espiritu Maligno
4) Dalis la Caribeña, Goya Kong, Marcela vs Amapola, Mima Shimoda, Tiffany
5) Namajague, Shigeo Okumura, Tama Tonga vs Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Hijo del Fantasma
6) Atlantis, La Máscara, Mistico vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto

Fiebre Amarilla! Okumura will be so pleased. Mima seems to be around permanently now.

IWRG (THU) 11/01/2012 Arena Naucalpan
***Castillo del Terror, 2012***
1) Mini Super Astro & Voladorcito vs Bracito De Plata & Mr. Aguilita
2) Amazona, Fenix, Ludark Shaitan vs Cristal, La Sádica, Pasion Kristal
names do not seem right here.
3) Alan Extreme, Centvrión, Comando Negro, Dinamic Black, Eterno, Golden Magic, Imposible, Saruman vs Dragón Celestial, Electro Boy, La Cobra, Matrix Jr., Relampago, Serpiente de Oro, Sky Ángel, Violencia Jr. [Copa High Power]
FILL 1st Generacion vs FILL 2nd Generacion rematch.
4) Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown vs Cien Caras Jr., Espíritu, Heddi Karaoui
5) Hijo de Máscara Año 2000 vs Trauma I, Spartan, Oficial 911, Factor, Trauma II, Carta Brava Jr., Oficial Fierro, el Ángel, Hijo de Pirata Morgan [cage, mask]

Traumas are definitely not losing, and I’d be very surprised if Hijo de Mascara, Hijo de Parta or even Carta Brava lost their masks here; they could all carry singles matches or bigger name cage matches. Spartan and Angel are the best bets.

IWRG’s Twitter notes Hijo de LA Park and Hijo de Dr. Wagner are trashing each other on Facebook, LA Park trying to talk Wagner into both of them being in this match. Neither really has a chance of losing.

I think the women’s match might just have some extraneous text and it’s just 2 v 2.

06/30: Mexico, Coliseo, GdR

ESTO/Purpura’s new gear

CMLL (FRI) 06/29 Arena Mexico EST, Galeon del Mal @ box y lucha, ova]
1) Fabián el Gitano & Metálico b Apocalipsis & Hooligan
2) Dark Angel, Diana La Cazdora, Luna Magica b Amapola, Hiroka, Mima Shimoda
3) Dr. Wagner Jr. & Mascara Purpura b Negro Casas & Stuka Jr. [gran alternativa, qf]
4) La Sombra & Mistico b Heavy Metal & Super Nova [gran alternativa, qf]
5) Dos Caras Jr. & Valiente b Flash & Marco Corelone [gran alternativa, qf]
6) Euforia & Ultimo Guerrero b Super Comando & Villano V [gran alternativa, qf]
7) La Sombra & Mistico b Dr. Wagner Jr. & Mascara Purpura [gran alternativa, sf]
8) Euforia & Ultimo Guerrero b Dos Caras Jr. & Valiente [gran alternativa, sf]
9) La Sombra & Mistico b Euforia & Ultimo Guerrero [gran alternativa, final]
10) Blue Panther DQ Lizmark Jr.

Blue Panther won the first fall clean. The second ended with Garza, Terrible, and Villano V running in, and Lizmark yanking off Panther’s mask again. Panther had to be helped out.

After their semifinal match, Wagner teased a rudo turn and challenged Mistico’s team to a rematch. I would guess this is just random grandstanding.

FWIW, Ultimo Guerrero gave Super Comando the Guerrero Special in their first round match, which meant Euforia was the one to pin Villano V

Metalico hurt his knee in the opener, despite the win.

CMLL (TUE) 07/03 Arena Coliseo
1) Molotov & Trueno vs Messala & Zayco
2) Bam Bam, Bracito de Oro, Celestial vs Mini Halloween, Mini Mr. Aguila, Pequeno Damian
3) Lady Apache, Luna Magica, Marcela vs La Nazi, La Seductora, Rosa Negra
4) Eclipse, Misterioso II, Pierroth vs Felino, Heavy Metal, Leono
5) Dos Caras Jr., Negro Casas, Rey Bucanero vs Damian 666, Mr. Aguila, Terrible

CMLL (FRI) 07/06 Arena Mexico
1) Astro Boy & Sombra de Plata vs Apocalipsis & Ramstein
2) Flash, Mictlan, Super Nova vs Nitro, Nosferatu, Virus
3) Alex Koslov, Felino, Heavy Metal vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
4) Terrible, Villano III, Villano V vs Blue Panther, Dr. Wagner Jr., Sagrado
5) Mistico, Negro Casas, Sombra vs Atlantis, Euforia, Ultimo Guerrero

Probably should’ve seen this one coming – the guy they’re hoping to be their next Mistico is already starting a feud with the guy they’ve positioned as their next Averno.

AAA updated their website with the full cards for 07/01 and 07/06, but no TV tapings past that.

CMLL GdR #83 has
06/22 Mexico: Dark Angel, Lady Apache, Marcela b Hiroka, Mima Shimoda, Princesa Sujei
06/24 Coliseo: Damián 666, Halloween, Mr. Águila b Heavy Metal, Máximo, Sombra
Outside the ring with Texano Jr.

Next Saturday’s FSE lucha libre show is listed as “Dos Caras Jr. vs Universo 2000”, so that should be the episode which has already in Mexico. Beyond that, I don’t know.

No Sunday lineup yet.

Gran Alternativa Teams Announced

CMLL.com’s gotta ’em

– Heavy Metal, Super Nova
– Dr. Wagner Jr., Mascara Purpura
– Negro Casas, Stuka Jr.
– Shocker, Valiente
– Marco Corelone, Flash
– Mistico, La Sombra
– Villano V, Super Comando
– Ultimo Guerrero, Euforia

Tournament will take place next week, June 29, which means we’ve had all of a two week gap between tournaments. (Only the Leyenda de Azul remains, unless they bring back the Gran Prix Trios tournament or something new.)

Mistico & La Sombra are obvious favorites, and Villano and Ultimo will almost have to run into each other at some point. Almost all are tecnico teams, which is a bit odd.

First guess…

Villano V, Super Comando b Heavy Metal, Super Nova
Ultimo Guerrero, Euforia b Marco Corelone, Flash
b Negro Casas, Stuka Jr.
Shocker, Valiente b Dr. Wagner Jr., Mascara Purpura

Ultimo Guerrero, Euforia b Villano V, Super Comando
Mistico, La Sombra b Shocker, Valiente

Ultimo Guerrero, Euforia b Mistico, La Sombra (though Mistico losing at this point seems impossible)

02/16 Arena Mexico card changed

As noted by Robert in the comments

CMLL (FRI) 02/16 Arena Mexico Results
1) Mini Fantasy, Shockercito vs Mini Violencia, Pierrothito
2) Blue Panther, Lizmark Jr., Negro Casas vs Eclipse, Mascara Ano 2000, Universo 2000
3) La Mascara vs Sagrado, Sombra de Plata, Volador Jr., Metro II, Leono, Super Nova, Virus, Mephisto, Alex Koslov, Misterioso II, Sangre Azteca, Felino, Stuka Jr., Valiente, Averno [ciber, reyes de aire]
4) Atlantis, Tarzan Boy, Ultimo Guerrero vs Hector Garza, Mr. Aguila, Perro Aguayo Jr. [CMLL TRIOS]

CMLL.com notes the main event being changed to a title match and the injuries to Flash and Mascara Purpura, but doesn’t explain Corelone’s disappearance.

02/13: Coliseo, injuries, IWRG, lineups

cmll

CMLL (SUN) 02/11 Arena Coliseo Results [cmll]
1) Polvora, Vaquero b Rayo Tapatio I, Rayo Tapatio II
2) Hooligan, Loco Max, Ramstein b Starman, Tigre Blanco, Tigre Metalico
3) Leono, Stuka Jr., Virus DQ Mogur, Ohara, Okumura
4) Maximo, Sagrado, Texano Jr. b Arkangel, Misterioso II, Nitro
5) Dr. Wagner, Lizmark Jr., Negro Casas b Eclipse, Olimpico, Ultimo Guerrero
6) Mistico b Black Warrior

Vaquero and Tigre Blanco were carted out in the first two matches. Stuka replaced Mascara Purpura in the third, note on that below. Mogur fouled Leono to end that match, so Leono/Mogur is indeed an upcoming hair match. Note the Mexican Trios champs teamed up and won, so no program there. Wagner beat Ultimo in the semimain with help from the ropes, as previously noted. Warrior won fall one of the main, but Mistico won the last two with a casita and la Mistica.

Alexis’ report notes this has been five straight Sunday shows with Mistico, and five straight full arenas.

Ovaciones has a couple injury notes
– Flash suffered a right arm injury on Sunday. It required surgery, and he’ll be out for “several” weeks. No replacement has been announced for the Rey de Aires. Who would it be?
– Mascara Purpura may have been your answer, but he’s also hurt. It’s an ankle injury, and he’ll be out six weeks.

So, young high flying guy, and we’ve already got La Máscara, Sagrado, Sombra de Plata, Volador, Metro, Leono, Super Nova, Flash, Sangre Azteca, Felino, Stuka, Valiente, Misterioso, Averno, Mephisto, Alex Koslov – Astro Boy? Danger? Trueno? Fabian? No, not Fabian.

The Perro/Garza/Aguila vs Tarzan/Ultimo/Atlantis trios match has been turned into a CMLL Trios title match (instead of waiting til next week to do it.)

IWRG (SUN) 02/11 Arena Naucalpan Results
1) Zella b Francotirador
2) Extrano, Vampiro Metatlico b Celestial, Simbolo
3) Antaris, Bacteria, Star Boy b Super Colt, Trauma I, Trauma II
4) Avisman, Black Terry, Fantasma de la Opera b Cerebro Negro, Freelance, Suicida
5) Misterioso II, Pierroth, Veneno DQ Electroshock, Esfinge, Negro Navarro

Pierroth faked a foul in the main event. Freelance and Avisman are still feuding, as are Veneno and Electroshock.

IWRG (SUN) 02/18 Arena Naucalpan Lineup
1) Mr. Randal vs Volcan Negro
2) Bacteria, Antaris vs Black Jaguar, Vampiro Metalico
3) Coco Rojo, Coco Verde, Coco Blanco vs Camorra, Avisman, Supremo Jr.
4) Suicida, Freelance vs Black Terry, Avisman
5) Dr. Wagner Jr., Mascara Sagrada, ? vs Pierroth, Black Pentagon, Bestia Salvaje

They’ve got Avisman listed in two matches. Gotta be a typo.

Guerreros del Ring #74 has El Elegido.
Box Y Lucha 2805 has Nicho in AAA and Fuerza vs Juvi.

Espanto Jr. is selling a Best of DVD, including his mask match with El Hijo del Santo. The article includes a phone number, if you’d like to call Mexico. Get a copy for me.

Rest of the week lineups are below.

12/27: Monterrey, Puebla, IWRG

indy (TUE) 12/26 Arena Coliseo Monterrey Lineup
1) Burrito b Mini Burrito
2) Nuacho Libre b Sobra Sky
3) Vudu b La Kalaka
4) Golden Boy b Ejecutor
5) Mascara Purpura b Bestia
6) Estralla Doradad Jr. b Potro Jr.
7) Pancho Tequila & La Bndida b Humberto Garza Jr., Dulce Poly

I guess Purpura is back ‘home’ for the holidays.

CMLL (MON) 12/25 Arena Puebla Results [box y lucha via KrisZ]
1) Ares, Karissma b Fenix, Iron
2) Bobby Jack, Espiritu Maligno, Siki Osama b Astro Boy, the Tiger, Zigma
3) India Sioux, Lady Apache, Marcela b Amapola, Hiroka, Rosa Negra
4) Batman, Lizmark, Mictlan, Sagrado DQ Pierroth, Skandalo, Terrible, Yankee Star
Mictlan took a powerbomb on the outside and laid there. I guess they thought he was just selling it big, because it was ten minutes before they checked on him and strechered him out.
5) Atlantis, Terrible, Universo 2000 b Heavy Metal, Negro Casas, Sagrado

This post says someone said Mictlan suffered a Cervical Fracture. All reports on the show say the arena puebla staff was woefully unprepared and unreactive to the injury.

Ovaciones mentions the main event results for the last couple IWRG shows.

on Thursday: Coco Verde beat Dr. Cerebro for his hair in the finals of the cage match
on Monday: Hijo del Diablo, Veneno, Fantasma de Opera beat Dr. Cerebro, Cerebro Negro, and Suicida for the IWRG IC Trios Titles. Those belts were previously held by Veneno, Cerebro Negro and Scorpio Jr., so I guess this was a(n unannounced) decision match for the belts.
