06/05: Puebla

CMLL

CMLL (MON) 06/04 Arena Puebla [hugo999]
1) Espiritu Maligno, Fenix, Siki Osama Jr. b Centella de Oro, Super Star, Zigma
2) Maniacop, Negro Navarro, Virus b La Sombra, Mascara Purpura, Mictlan
3) Alex Koslov, Felino, Sagrado DQ Goto, Ohara, Okumura
4) Leono b Loco Max [hair]
5) Heavy Metal, Negro Casas, Volador Jr. b Damain 666, Halloween, Mr. Aguila

Loco won the first fall quick, busted open Leono in the second, and still lost (of course.)

(Ovaciones) Mark Jindrak’s mother passed away, due to complications from cancer. He’s expected to fly back to Atlanta for her funeral and fly back on Thursday to make the Arena Mexico show on Friday. Condolences to the family.

Mr. Aguila (playing the role of Perro Aguayo Jr. – and with Perro appearing) lost the first half of the two part Cinco de Magnificos final last weekend. If I’m understanding this right, that means they had to live in an actual circus tent for a week while the other team got to live in a luxurious hotel. Final is this Sunday.

I’m presuming Mini Olimpico is keeping the CMLL Mini Estrella Championship tonight over Mini Damian 666, but I’m more just happy that they’re doing something with it. Hopefully this is not just the DF defense for ’07-08 and they’ll actually make TV with something.

Which reminds me – when I saw that note about FSE airing Tuesday Arena Coliseo action (Super Luchas, right?), I just presumed someone got confused on which day was the taping day and didn’t think much of it. I may be completely wrong here and wouldn’t mind it, but I’m assuming no more TV.

Magazines
Luchas 2000 #371 teases Espectro Jr. vs Blue Demon Jr. in a mask match.
Box Y Lucha #2821 has Atlantis versus the Villanos

On the odd chance anyone with the triplea.com website is reading this, you updated the results page to link to the latest TV taping, but you forget to put up the file with the results themselves. (The links goes back to a previous taping instead.) It’s been like this for about a week.

05/08: Puebla, La Parka Jr.’s return

Could’ve sworn I posted this previously. Oh well. I’m off to update the AAA post next…

CMLL (MON) 05/07 Arena Puebla [hugo999 @ box y lucha]
1) Blue Center, Swat, Zigma b Ares, Mr. Rafaga, Murcielago
2) Centella de Oro, Super Nova, the Tiger b Espiritu Maligno, Karissma, Loco Max
3) Negro Casas, Sagrado, Ultimo Dragon b Efesto, Misterioso II, Sangre Azteca
4) Leono b Toro Bill Sr. [hair]
5) Atlantis, Texano Jr., Ultimo Guerrero b Alex Koslov, Marco Corelone, Shocker

Leono made the show, but was clearly wrestling with only one working arm. So that wasn’t much, but I guess they decided they must have the hair match or something.

AAA LG (WED) 05/16 Palenque de la Feria, Celaya Lineup [El Sol del Bajio]
1) Estrellita, Pimpinela Escarlata, Super Fly vs Polvo de Estrellas, Rossy Moreno, ?
2) La Parka Jr., Octagon, Zorro vs Muerte Cibernetica, Antifaz, Kenzo Suzuki

According to the article, La Parka Jr. vows to return to the ring at this show. According to the article, this is the original La Parka. So I dunno.

Perro Aguayo Jr. survived another week on his reality show. His team won first place in the contest and so is not up for elimination this week, which frees up a good 15-20 minutes on CMLL’s TV show from vote plugs.

indy (WED) 05/16 Ricard Velarde Osuna del Paseo de La Loma [Enfoque]
1) El Vaqueros & Kid Relampago vs Angel de la Muerte & Indomable
2) Cholo Maldito & El Cora vs Galaxia 2000 & Mercury 2000
3) Deat Raxyel, Master Terror, Spider Black vs Demoledor, Loco Gonzalez, Verdugo Nazi
4) Angelou, Marakame I, Protector vs Chupacabras, Enfermero Jr., Mascara Ano 2000 Jr.
5) Blue Demon Jr. & El Dandy vs Damian 666 & Mr. Aguila

This is Marakame I’s 25 anniversary show. The news report lists Angelou as Mistico’s brother.

Magazines
Super Luchas #211 has Marcela, Zorro and Hulk Hogan. Odd trio. The AAA recap headline screams “ZORRO, NEW HELL BROTHER”, so perhaps I’m wrong on that one.
Super Luchas Grafico #22 has Mil Mascaras

El Sol de Tampico previews a show for this Friday with only Pierroth Jr./Sangre Azteca vs Volador Jr./Mascara announced.

IWRG’s site is down.

05/03: Queretaro, Liger, Monterrey, Mistico not in SLP

cmll

According to Ovaciones, Leono and Maximo will be out two weeks. Leono hurt his right elbow, Maixmo hurt an ankle.

CMLL (TUE) 05/01 Arena Queretaro Lineup [Knotty @ el martinete]
1) Alasthor b Furia Dorada Jr.
2) Drabek I, Drabek II b La Flecha, Lince [1, LLQ TAG]
3) El Corsario, El Toro b Espiritu Negro, Ozuno
4) Loco Max, Nitro b Mictlan, Satanico
5) Dr. Wagner Jr., Rey Bucanero b Olimpico, Tarzan Boy

Satanico turned on Mictlan, naturally. Show on the 15th will have a cibernetico with Stuka Jr., Super Nova, Maximo, Leono, Flash, and Astro Boy.

CMLL (TUE) 05/08 Arena Coliseo Lineup [CMLL Magazine]
2) Flash, Starman, Sensei vs Arkangel, Nitro, Jeque
3) Leono, Tony Rivera, Stuka Jr. vs Misterioso II, Ohara, Loco Max
4) Mr. Aguila, Damian 666, Halloween vs Sagrado, ?, Mictlan
5) Jushin Liger, Atlantis, Ultimo Guerrero vs Dos Caras Jr., Hijo de Lizmark, Ultimo Dragon

Jeque lives! Also, Liger. (The ? is Maximo, but obviously no.)

According to this post (El Halcon), Mistico no-showed the SLP show yesterday and a riot ensued.

indy (FRI) 05/04 Arena Monterrey
1) Perla Negra vs Paty Rey
2) Indio Payutla & Mosco vs Dark Side & Sika
3) Cazador, Ejecutor, Tormenta Negra vs Puma de Plata, Relampago Azul, Zorro Plateado Jr.
4) Calaquita & La Parkita vs Mini Batman & Mini Killer
5) Black Power, Hijo del Diablo, Shu el Guerrero vs Angel del Amor, Azteca Warrior, Casanova

Note because they haven’t been running Friday shows previously.

Ovaciones also hypes up the Luchas 2000 show for this weekend.

A new arena has opened up Monclova, which they’re calling “Arena Monclova“. That must’ve been tough. They’re planning on twice monthly AAA shows along with boxing and other entertainment on other days. Judging from the picture, it’s not a building, just an open space with bleachers and chairs set up.

Univision has an article on Intocable, who’s apparently in one of their telenovals. The subtitle of the article is “El nuevo latin lover” and that’s very amusing.

05/01: Puebla, Mistico set to challenge for fifth title, magazines

CMLL (MON) 04/30 Arena Puebla [hugo999 @ box y lucha]
1) Forajido, the Tiger, Zigma b Aguila Guerrera, Espiritu Maligno, Fuerza Tiger

3) Loco Max, Ohara, Okumura, Toro Bill Sr. b Leono, Starman, Tigre Blanco, Tigre Metalico
4) Atlantis, Ultimo Guerrero, Universo 2000 b Alex Koslov, Marco Corelone, Texano Jr.
5) Rey Bucanero b Hector Garza [CMLL LH]

Leono and Toro Bill Sr. fight for their hairs next week.

WWA (FRI) 05/25 Auditorio de Tijuana [rey_misterio_tj @ Satanico’s Mansion]
1) La Mascara, Mistico, Sagrado vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto [WWA TRIOS]

This is Mora’s anniversary show and such, but really – belt #5! Theoretically, the Trio of Terror could win the trios belts, but I see Averno and Mistico in there, so I suspect I know the ending. These belts were last held by the Brazos in ’98, so they’re vacant (and pretty meaningless, but whatever.)

Gililo @ el Martiente has photos from the LLX show in Guadalajara. Meanwhile, amateur @ box y lucha says wrestlers didn’t go on with the next show in LLX, because they weren’t getting paid.

Magazines
Guerreros del Ring #85 has KeMonito as Godzilla.
Box Y Lucha #2816 has Perro beating Mistico

My San Antonio has a review of Dan Madigan’s lucha libre book.

“Mondo Lucha A Go-Go” is a book that is well worth its price in photos alone and one that followers of lucha libre will want for their collection.

Santo was in Chicago on Friday as part of the Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies conference.

IWRG’s site is still down.

4) Felino, Negro Casas, Ultimo Dragon b Averno, Mephisto, Nitro
5) Damian 666, Halloween, Hector Garza b Alex Koslov, Rey Bucanero, Shocker

Toro Bill reversed a pin on Leono to pick up the win. Leono wants a hair match. Garza got a foul on Rey for a pin.

CMLL (SUN) 04/22 Arena Solidaridad
1) Tacua b Arquero
2) Enrique Aguilera & Ramrio Ramirez L Cadillo, Difuno II, Difunto I, Diluvio Negro I, Jhonatan, Llamarada, Monje Negro Jr., Sergio Romo Jr., Venum [cage, hair]

4) Caifan I, Eclipse (Monterrey), Ephesto b Diluvio Negro I, Estrella Dorada Jr., La Mascara

That’s the referee and the ring announcer losing the hair match.

5) Hijo de Cien Caras, Pierroth, Terrible vs Alex Koslov, Mascara Sagrada, Suicida

IWRG (SUN) 04/29 Arena Naucalapan [boxylucha]
1) Coco Blanco, Coco Rojo, Coco Verde vs Puma King, Trauma I, Trauma II
2) Negro Navarro, Solar I, Suicida vs Black Terry, Fantasma de la Opera, Kraneo
3) ?, el Dandy, Rayo de Jalisco Jr. vs Bestia Salvaje, Mascara Ano 2000 Jr., Pierroth

AULL has a website up http://alianzauniversal-luchalibre.com/, though it seems to have more unfinished pages than finsihed ones.

AULL (SAT) 04/14 Arena Lopez Mateos [AULL]
1) Magnifico & Samba b Rey de Corazones & Venom
2) Brian Lee, Sasaki, Yakuza b Hanaoka, Iguanita, Pequeno Demonio
3) Epidemia, Kid Star Tiger, Robin Maravilla b Heavy Boy, Sepulturero I, Sepulturero II
4) Rocky Santana, Sagrado, Terry 2000 b Psicopata, Rey Krymen, Sadico
5) La Mascara, Marco Corelone, Ultimo Gladiador b Atlantis, Nitro, Satanico

4) Epidemia, Robin Maravilla, Terry 2000 vs Pierroth Jr., Rey Krymen, Sadico
5) Dos Caras Jr., Heavy Metal, La Mascara vs Black Warrior, LA Park, Misterioso II

The tecnicos on the semimain are listed as a Trio Of Champions, so I’m thinking Terry 2000 retained his title.

CMLL (SUN) 04/29 Coliseo Coacalco
1) Dr. Enigma & Dragon Metalico vs Fire Fox & Orion Negro
2) Ave Nocturna, Eterno, Wizard vs Buitre, Cat Metal, Estigma
3) Alex Steel, Heavy Boy, Rudy Garduno vs Black Spider, Hermano Niebla Negra I, Hermano Niebla Negra II
4) Fabian el Gitano, Justiciero, Rey de Corazones vs Black Jaguar, Dr. Cerebro, Universo 2000

04/17: Puebla, magazines

triplea.com

AAA posted photos of their newest taping, as you can see.

CMLL (MON) 04/16 Arena Puebla [hugo999]
1) King Jaguar & Super Star b Ares & Murcielago
2) Espiritu Maligno, Karisma, Toro Bill Jr. b Centella de Oro, the Tiger, Zigma
3) Dr. X, Skandalo, Toro Bill Sr. b Furia Chicana, Leono, Stuka Jr.
4) Atlantis, Olimpico, Tarzan Boy b La Mascara, Maximo, Negro Casas
5) Alex Koslov, Hijo de Lizmark, Rey Bucanero b Damain 666, Halloween, Hector Garza

Guessing at the main event finish – hugo walked out before the end, but that usually means the tecnicos were going to win. Leono got hurt in his match, where Furia Chicana replaced Valiente (and I had Astro Boy in that spot.)

Magazines:

Box Y Luchas has the Mistico Double Belt picture I was hoping for, so I’m listening them first. That’s cover B for the week – cover A covers La Parka Jr.’s accident and wrecked vehicle. (Ovaciones has an update on this story which really doens’t update much – it sounds like the arm injuries might not be as bad as originally feared but no one’s even hinting at a return date.)

Super Luchas #208 has multi-champion Mistico, though no double belt picture on the cover. Of all the championships he current holds, I’m sure the Tapatia Wrestler Of The Year award means the most to him.

Luchas 2000 #364 talks about the Parka accident and Apache dropping (selling?) her title, but also promotes it’s upcoming show for next Saturday – which now has an updated poster. I’m still not exactly sure what the main event is, but I guess it’s a five way match: Villano III vs Silver King vs Blue Demon Jr. vs Hijo del Solitario vs Villano IV with hair, belts, and titles on the line – though, isn’t Silver King the only one with a belt? Who else would be betting their hair? I dunno. Looks like the Rey Misterios have dropped out of the show.

IWRG’s site is still done, but their lineups and a bunch of others are in Box Y Lucha’s usual weekly roundup, which I hope to get when I have more time.
