DTU, Fiebre Amarilla vs Atlantida, Black Metal defeats caveman for title, Canek

1) Yuta b JhonkyKalibusJorge KebradaKiubyArtikusÁngel del MisterioOsirisAtomic StarMiedo Extremo
Jhonki, Atomic Star replaced Kalibus, Pequeno Cobra, Slayer Pack. Reports differ on if Kiuby or Arana de Plata was the third addition; best guess is Kiuby based on the pictures. Yuta beat Miedo Extremo for the win.
2) Kaleth & Niño Hamburguesa b Lucky Boy & Niño de Ébano and Crazy King & Principe Escorpion and Lanzeloth & Rocky Lobo and Araña de Plata & Pequeno Cobra
Locker/Rocker team scheduled for this match moved up one. Arana de Plata & Pequeno Cobra team seems to have replaced them, according to EdR.
3) Carta Brava Jr. I, La Magnifica, Locker b Comando Negro, Keira, Rocker
Match had been listed as three way tag with Arana/Perro Mocho (who seems to have missed all DTU shows), Carta Jr./Comando Negro vs Carta IWL/Cerebro Negro.
4) Epitafio, Judas el Traidor, Samael, Tormento NC Black Fire, Chica Ye-Ye, Demente Extreme, Peligro
Tormento replaced Leviatham, Peligro was the mystery man on the DTU side. Los Porros ran in to attack everyone, then got into an argument with Ciclope.
5) Steve Pain b Fenix (AAA)Príncipe HalcónJinzoOrionSádicoTomahawk T.T.HackerHormiga [#1 Contenders, DTU AI]
Fenix and Steve Pain replaced Septimo Dragon and Poison. Pain beat Fenix for the win, and wins a shot against Flamita at some point.
6) Drastik Boy & Flamita b Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards and Daga & Eterno
switched to the semi main (in before the ring was filled with leftovers from the hardcore match.) Upset win for Flamita & Drastik
7) Aero Boy & Violento Jack b Crazy Boy & Joe Lider and Cíclope & Paranoiko
switched to the main. Besides the usual violence, the LA Park Chair On Fire spot has made it’s way to DTU. Arana de Plata ran into help Ciclope, setting up lamps on the match, but Violento Jack put Ciclope thru them for the win.

It sounds like the fifth match was the best, but there’s not too many notes about the match quality. There’s really nothing said about the sixth match. I maybe have gotten the wrong Carta Brava.

CMLL (SUN) 07/07/2013 Arena Coliseo [CMLL]
1) Höruz & Robin b Akuma & Guerrero Negro Jr.
Tecnicos took 2/3.
2) Arkángel de la Muerte, Hooligan, Skándalo b Hombre Bala Jr., Pegasso, Soberano Jr.
Soberano replaced Starman. Rudos took 1/3.
3) Tritón b Raziel [lightning]
Triton won with a moonsault tornillo in a good match.
4) Bushiroad, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr. b Boby Zavala, Namajague, Shigeo Okumura
Tecnicos toko 2/3 in a good match. Delta & Maya challenged for a title shot next week, and Okumura & Namajague accepted.
5) Diamante Azul, Shocker, Thunder b Euforia, Mr. Niebla, Vangellys
Tecnicos took 1/3.
6) Ephesto, Mephisto, Volador Jr. b Máscara Dorada, Mistico, Valiente
Rudos took 1/3 in a slightly disappointing match.

Main event seemed to start a Estetas del Aire vs Avernos/Volador feud, similar to Puebla. They’re probably a few weeks away from doing that match.

Next week’s show is in Arena Mexico, according to the announcers at the end of the show. This might have been made clear during the earlier microphone challenges, but the ring microphone wasn’t plugged into the Terra feed from the second match on. There was no sound entirely from midway in the second match until Triton’s post match promo.

CMLL (SUN) 07/07/2013 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [@acogdl]
1) Brillante & Capitan (Guadalajara) b Relampago Azul (Guadalajara) & Samael (Guadalajara)
Debut for Capitan. Tecnicos took 2/3.
2) Demonio Maya, El Yaki, Satara b Halcón de Plata, Idolo, Javier Cruz Jr.
Yaki back as a rudo, which makes since with that name. Rudos took 2/3.
3) Acertijo, Jocker, Sádico b El Hippie, Sky Kid, Tony Escobedo
Escobedo’s debut. Rudos took 1/3, Acertijo snuck in a foul on Hippie to set up the rudo win.
4) Black Metal b Bárbaro Cavernario [OCCIDENTE MIDDLE]
Metal took falls 1/3 to win the championship. Barbaro falls on fourth defense. Barbaro demanded a rematch in precisely two weeks.
5) La Máscara, Máximo, Rush b Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora, Rey Bucanero
Tecnicos took 2/3.

The title change could be a setup to Barbaro coming to Mexico City. He was good in his three day stint last month. It’s not like Arena Coliseo Guadalajara to care that much about their championships; they didn’t take them off Palacio Negro or Metal Blanco when they knew they were leaving or even when they came back.

Canek was the unadvertised surprise luchador on AAA TV’s taping in Ecatepec. Unclear why they brought in Canek and didn’t advertise him. La Parka worked the AAA TV taping and not the WWL show, while Eita did the opposite. More details about the AAA TV taping, though there’s not that many details to go around.

AAA had a photoshoot with Angelico & Jack Evans and the Reinas del Ring, along with a promo for Sunday’s taping which helps you not at all now. Sorry! Jack Evans yelling “woo” holds up.

The next TxT show appears to be on 07/27. This poster doesn’t make any matches clear except that the usual woman will face each other, and I think you could’ve figured that. It’s a Mexico vs the World Theme, which is pretty much the same as most of the TxT shows this year. Hijo del Santo is on the poster even though he’s said he’s not wrestling on the show.

Rayo takes Universo’s hair, Invasors vs Rush/Mascara/Titan?, Atlantis vs UG, DTU

TxT (SAT) 06/22/2013 Gimnasio Juan De La Barrera [Black Terry Jr. (flickr)Estrellas del RingMedioTiempoYahoo Deportes]
1) Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. b Centvrión
Match had been announced as Dinamic Black & Imposible vs Golden Magic & Poseidon. 0 for 4.
2) La Chola & Rossy Moreno b Esther Moreno & Lady Apache
Chola landed a splash on Esther Moreno. Still teasing the hair match here.
3) Súper Muñeco, Súper Pinocho, Súper Ratón DQ Black Terry, Scorpio Jr., Shu el Guerrero [WWA TRIOS]
Straight falls for the champions. Second (at least) defense. More tease of Shu/Muneco.
4) Blue Demon Jr. & El Hijo Del Santo b Heddi Karaoui & Zumbi [PWR TAG]
Demon put Zumbi in la de a caballo while Demon submitted Heddi to an armbar to win. Santo & Demon’s first defense.
Rayo took falls 2/3 to win Universo’s hair. Universo has lost his last four recorded hair match.

A feud that restarted for CMLL this spring ends in TxT. Not to a great crowd; looks like maybe a third full. The ruleta de la muerte format does not appear to be a draw; this seems like it would’ve done the same amount if they just announced Rayo vs Universo.

CMLL (SUN) 06/23/2013 Arena Coliseo [CMLL]
1) Bengala & Fresbee b Cholo & Herodes Jr.
2) Bárbaro Cavernario, Disturbio, Hijo del Signo b Black Metal, Metálico, Molotov
Barbaro & Metal’s DF debuts. Barbaro did a lot better. Signo submitted Metalico in the third.
3) Namajague, Puma, Shigeo Okumura b Bushiroad, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr.
Rudos took 2/3, Okumura fouling Maya. Bushiroad looked good and seems to fit right in. Puma suffered a left shoulder injury in the first fall and was favoring it after the match, but you wouldn’t be able to tell in his wrestling.
4) Diamante b Boby Zavala [lightning]
Diamante won with an armbar headscissors in 5:09.
5) Diamante Azul, Máscara Dorada, Mistico b Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
Tecnicos took 2/3, winning the last with a star and an Azul tapatia on Averno in the middle.
6) La Máscara, Rush, Titán b Mr. Águila, Psicosis, Volador Jr.
Tencicos took 2/3, Rush & Mascara getting clean pins in the third. La Mascara pointed out he’d beaten Invasors two weeks in a row, and challenged for a trios title match. Rush & Titan supported him, and the Invasors agreed – though there was lots of talk about mask or hair matches to come, and Psicosis threw out a challenge for Mascara’s title.

Show was okay. Title match came out of left field and doesn’t feel like a chance for a title change. Maybe it’s a chance for Aguila to get a convincing win so people won’t suspect he’s losing his hair. Maybe the story will be how Rush reacts if his team loses.

CMLL (SUN) 06/23/2013 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Índigo b Samael (Guadalajara)
2) El Divino & Virgo b Acertijo & Jocker
Tecnicos took 1/3.
3) Esfinge & León Blanco b Mr. Trueno & Rey Trueno
tecnicos took 1/3, Blanco plancha on Rey Trueno
4) Leo b StarmanGalloSmakerHalcón de PlataArkángel de la MuerteEspectrumRáfagaMaléficoExterminador [Copa 54 Anniversario]
Exterminador replaced Olimpico. Battle royal set sides. Eliminations: Halcon de Plata (Exterminador), Exterminador (foul on Smaker), Smaker (Espectrum), Espectrum (Rafaga), Starman (Leo), Rafaga (Gallo), Gallo (Arkangel), Arkangel (Leo), Malefico (Leo) leaving Leo as the winner. Americo Rocca and Gran Markus Jr. were honored after the match.
5) Atlantis & Valiente DQ Gran Guerrero & Último Guerrero
Tecnicos took 2/3, Ultimo Guerrero fouling Atlantis for the DQ. This sets up a singles match next week.

So much for me assuming the Puebla match would be their last singles match for the time being.

X-Fly beat lost to Dr. Cerebro in their IWRG hair match. More results tomorrow.

IWL announced they’re now affiliated with Pro Wrestling Freedom. Pro Wrestling Freedom turns out to be a small promotion in Kentucky. Of the 50 or so people on the roster, I had only heard of one woman; they’re much smaller stars in their country than even the IWL guys are in theirs. Mad Man Pondo is listed as alumni. This sounds like a very IWL deal.

Rudos took 2/3, Pierrothito snuck in a foul on Dragoncito.
4) Rey Cometa b Puma King [lightning]
Rey Cometa wore face paint and won in 5:57 with a top rope ‘rana.
5) Euforia, Mr. Águila, Mr. Niebla b Blue Panther, Máscara Dorada, Shocker
Rudos had Mije & Zacarias and took 2/3 for the win. Niebla beat Panther and Euforia beat Shocker.
6) La Sombra b Terrible
Comandate was with Terrible. Terrible took the first with a cavernaria. Sombra caught him with a small package in the second. Comandante interfered in the third fall, but Sombra still won with a double moonsault. Sombra told Terrible he just proved he was better, and he’d be winning the Heavyweight title on Sunday. Best match on the show.

1) Höruz & Oro Jr. b Ramstein & Zayco
2) Dark Angel, Goya Kong, Silueta b Amapola, Princesa Sugheit, Zeuxis
tecnicas took 1/3, Silueta pinning Zeuxis and Goya splashing Amapola.
3) Namajague, Shigeo Okumura, Virus b Fuego, Starman, Triton
Starman replaced Hijo del Fantasma. Rudos took 1/3, Namajague powerbombing Triton and Virus submitting Starman.
4) Blue Panther, Guerrero Maya Jr., Valiente b Black Warrior, Ephesto, Felino
Tecnicos took 1/3.
5) Niebla Roja DQ Pólvora [lightning]
Polvora pulled Niebla Roja’s mask in 7:25. Ultimo Guerrero ran out for the save, but Rey Escorpion ran in thru the crowd to help Polvora. Guerrero fouled Escorpion.
6) Tama Tonga, Terrible, Último Guerrero b Marco Corleone, Máximo, Super Porky

Estrellita won the Mexican National Women’s championship from Princesa Blanca in Arena Coliseo Guadalajara last night. It’s not a big surprise, Estrellita has been doing well in CMLL for the last year and they might have done this weeks ago if Estrellita didn’t cut her hand in a match and had to sit out for a few weeks. Marcela is the world champion, but CMLL presents Estrellita as the biggest female star. If you’re going to go with Estrellita, you might as well go strongly and having Estrellita with a belt is step in that direction.

It’s actually more surprising it didn’t take place on a big show. Blanca and Estrellita have been slightly feuding on the El Luchador show: an early episode included a pull apart when Blanca found out Estrellita was dating Puma King and tonight’s episode appears to center around the cage match they were both involved in. I’m still not sure if the A&E reality show makes a tangible difference to CMLL business – the worst period of CMLL last year was when season 1 aired – but it seems like worth trying to capitalize on it somehow. Right now, the only way they might be doing it is making sure Mistico is back in the ring just in time for the El Luchador episode where he becomes Mistico airs.

Princesa Blanca was champion for nearly 4 years. Amapola was world champion for most of that time, so they’ve gone in a couple months from the rudas dominating the championships to the tecnicas. (It also means the bodybuilding contest tomorrow is the only title Dark Angel is probably getting a shot at in the near future.)

3) Keira vs Reyna Azteca, ?
mystery woman is a finalist from this year’s QPPLC
4) Lily Fighter, Niño Hamburguesa, Paloma Rouse vs ?, La Magnifica, Sherry Diva
mystery person is a SLP exotico
5) Eita vs Flamita, Tribal, Principe Halcón, Hacker, Daga
6) Aero Boy & Black Fire vs Draztick Boy & Rey Latino and Demente Extreme & Séptimo Dragón and Draego & Tony Rodríguez
Dreago & Tony Rodriguez represent GDL’s NWG promotion.
7) Araña De Plata Jr, Ciclope, Loco Max, Pequeno Cobra vs ?, Drabek, Mr. Rebelde, Ursus [cage, hair, mask]
Los Mazisos vs Queretaro locals, last one in loses hair or mask
8) Paranoiko & Pesadilla vs Halloween & Psicosis and Makabre & Super Mega

DTU tour. I think it’s neat how it’s not just Tulancingo & Mexico City wrestlers on the show, but luchadors from places they go to regularly (Guadalajara, SLP) are involved. Also nice is how they’ve getting tag teams together for an extended period prior to having titles (which I assume are coming sometime soon); it’s much better than the other way.

Whenever’s last week’s Fusion recap gets posted (2014), I’ll go over this again, but you really want to book Nicho el Millionario and not Psicosis I right now. Nicho is alright. Psicosis I has been back for months and hasn’t gotten a mask he can actually see and work out of it.

A long long time ago (earlier this year), Daga vowed he was done with DTU. He’s back because of the Perros del Mal deal.

I would guess a local is losing their hair in the cage match. But that must mean Loco Max has hair again.

DTU (SAT) 12/08/2012 Arena Margarita, San Luis Potosi
1) Artikus & Sherry Diva vs ? & Lily Fighter and Radical & Ramieth
mystery person is a SLP exotico
2) Crazy Power I, Crazy Power II, Eragon Kid vs Niño de Ébano, Pequeno Cobra, Talaxys and Extreme Boy, Jorge Quebrada, Slayer Pack

4) Super Mega vs Paranoiko, Dement Extremee, Chica Yeye, Centella Inca, Rey Latino, Alex Guajardo
5) Eita vs Flamita, Principe Halcon, Angel Del Misterio, Hacker [DTU ALTO]
Eita is the champion
6) Ciclope vs Aero Boy, Drastik Boy [mask]
7) ?, Astro Latino, Jhonky vs Joe Lider
Mystery wrestler is a DTU trainee, as Lider takes on new wrestlers.
8) Pesadilla vs Cerebro Negro [DTU]
Pesadilla is the champion

Pesadilla is the DTU champion though Joe Lider still seems to defend this title from time to time.

Semifinal appears to be 1 vs 3 and not a four way, but I could be reading the poster wrong. The idea is Lider is going to destroy some rookies.

The three way mask match has been teased for a while. It’s a long term feud with an actual payoff. Those of us who just follow AAA and CMLL may be unfamiliar with the concept.

CMLL (TUE) 05/24/2011 Arena Mexico [CMLL, Record (1-2, 4-5), Record (3)]
1) Camorra & Zayco b Camaleón & Robin
2) Leono, Metálico, Metatrón b Bronco, Semental, Súper Comando
Tecnicos took 1/3.
3) Guerrero Maya Jr. b Palacio Negro, Rey Cometa, Hijo del Signo, Magnus, Inquisidor, Hombre Bala Jr., Trueno [CMLL SL, tournament]
Eliminations were Trueno (via Inquisidor), Hombre Bala Jr. (Magnus), Inquisidor (Hijo del Signo), Magnus (Rey Cometa), Hijo del Signo (Palacio Negro), Rey Cometa (Guerrero Maya), Palacio Negro (Guerrero Maya). Guerrero Maya used a move that sure looks a lot like a martinete on Palacio Negro, but no DQ was called. Palacio was stretchered out after the match.
4) Mephisto, Shigeo Okumura, Yoshihashi b Delta, Hijo del Fantasma, Metal Blanco
Mephisto and Fantasma are suddenly back to feuding, how about that. Not that it’s going well for Fantasma: Mephisto ripped up the tecnico’s mask in the second fall and pinned him in the third.
5) Máximo, Rush, Strong Man DQ Atlantis, Rey Bucanero, Volador Jr.
Rudos took the first, tecnicos the second, Volador fouled Rush in the third.

CMLL (TUE) 05/24/2011 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
1) Thunder Boy b Acertijo
2) Magnum & Virgo b Exterminador & Ráfaga
3) Goya Kong, Luna Mágica, Marcela b Amapola, La Comandante, Mima Shimoda
Goya Kong top rope splash on La Comandante.
4) Ephesto, Rey Escorpion, Vangelis b Diamante, Metro, Sangre Azteca
Rey Scorpion unmasked Metro and rolled him up for the win. They agreed to a singles match next week.
5) Black Warrior & La Sombra DQ Felino & Mr. Niebla
Niebla did make the show, and fouled Sombra for the DQ.

Crazy Boy is putting Violento Jack in charge of making the lineup for next DTU show. It sounded like they were plugging the card on TerceraCaiada yesterday afternoon (Flamita vs Atomic Boy), and Pesadilla talk about his match: a four way with Ultimo Gladiador, Zumbi and Sick Boy.

Perros del Mal have a new website: http://www.perrosdelmal.com.mx. It seems a bit half finished (some of the links don’t work), but it looks nice and it’s better than the nothing they’ve had before.

NJPW’s Best of Super Juniors tour is kicking off tomorrow (really early in the morning here.) Mascara Dorada’s opening match is the one he’s most familiar with, Jushin Lyger. We’ll probably have a good idea how this is going to go for Dorada after that match.

LA Park wants the fans to know he did not agree to lose his mask in exchange to return to AAA. I hope he’s letting AAA know that.

Saturday’s Arena Lopez Mateos show, to help Rey Escorpion pay for an operation for his child saw Rey Escorpion, Ultimo Guerrero, and Atlantis beat Villano IV, Villano V and Scorpio Jr. Straight fall win for the Guerreros, Rey Escorpion wiping out Scorpio Jr. with a dive while his parnters took care of the Guerreros. Amo La Lucha Libre has video of this match. Black Terry Jr. has video of Navarro & Traumas vs Solar, Chucho el Roto, and Iron Love: fall 1, fall 2, fall 3.

That’s a match to challenge for Gallo’s title. Though I wonder what they’re going to do with Metal Blanco’s title if he’s not going to be around here (and probably isn’t losing to one who’s sticking around.) ACG Drago is not the AAA Drago.

CMLL (SAT) 05/21/2011 Arena Lopez Mateos
1) Astral & Eléctrico vs Pequeño Warrior & Pierrothito
2) Puma King, Rayo Tapatío II, Tiger Kid vs Hijo del Signo, Mortiz, Semental
3) Ángel de Oro, Delta, Diamante vs Fuego, Metal Blanco, Palacio Negro
4) Metro, Sangre Azteca, Stuka Jr. vs Misterioso II, Pólvora, Vangelis
5) Rush, Sagrado, Toscano vs Rey Bucanero, Shigeo Okumura, Yoshihashi
6) Black Warrior, La Sombra, Super Porky vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
7) Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Héctor Garza, Último Guerrero

This is (also?) a Rey Escorpion benefit show, though he doesn’t wrestle on this one. Really stacked lineup, should be a fun card.

Popitekus, Mask Matches, Santo in Dallas (and not Chicago), sound ideas

News

Kurt Brown has a great remembrance of Popitekus. Segunda Caida reviews the Brazos/Popitekus match linked to the other day.

Dos de Tres posted a video of Chessman in a cast, which is the first time AAA’s acknowledged he’s hurt. Looks like he’s making spot shows still, or at least that one.

Ovaciones has a preview of today’s Arena Mexico show, which is good even besides the parts read from the luchawiki CMLL Tag Team Championship page. There’s also an article about the impending debut of Mercenario Jr. SuperLuchas is picking the champs in the title match.

Seuxis has a big plan to win her mask match on Sunday: she and Silueta have learned from the same trainers, so the ruda knows everything the tecnica knows, but Seuxis also knows ruda tricks to give her the edge. Makes sense to me.

In the other mask match, Dr. X says he’d like to stay to the end, just to get his hands on Fabian el Gitano and settle it one on one. That’s the psychological problem with lucha de apuesta en cage problems: if you hate this other person so much that you’re willing to put your entire identity, your life, on the line just to get a shot at theirs, why do you ever leave the cage and give up that opportunity? You’d have to be a liar or a coward to want to leave, and I guess rudos are closer to the former, and it’d only make sense to leave as a tecnico if you rival has already gone, but that’s not usually how it works.

The latest WON says Sexi Star contacted WWE about getting in. Meltzer says she doesn’t speak English, clearly exposing how little AAA TV he watches. (Okay, she doesn’t speak English well.) I can’t imagine it’s going to work out, but it says something about the promotion when the most important woman in AAA over the last year or so is looking for a place elsewhere. I wonder if she’s under contract.

Hereos del Ring says there will be a mystery legendary luchador to unlock in the game. Alliens?

Yesterday, AAA had an article about getting back on Gaora TV in Japan this year. Dorian tweeted a similar message earlier and Dos de Tres echoed on Facebook. Today, that article is mysteriously missing, so why don’t I just post it:

AAA also catches us up on the biggest issue in the promotion at the moment: Billy Boy’s thoughts on teaming with Tiger Cota & Decnnis vs the Air Force in Toluca. Spoiler: he thinks his teammates are good and his opponents are not.

For R de Rudo, Brazo de Plata introduces Brazo de Plata Jr., Brazo Metalico, and Goya Kong as his newest debuting sons and daughters.

Shocker, Angel de Oro, Angel de Plata and Camorra visited ill children in the hospital.

Local Articles

El Hijo del Santo is listed on a show in Dallas on Sunday. El Hijo del Santo is also listed on a show in Chicago on Sunday. That is a bit problematic! Santo says he’ll be in Dallas, which is all the excuse I need not to go to Congress Theater. This is actually a fine defense of Twitter.

El Pancracio has info on some of the guys on their Lucha Libre Expo show, and hypes up their main event.

Sportimes previews Puebla’s anniversary show.

In Guadalajara, local wrestler Leo says replacing Toscano in the semimain Sunday with the regular CMLL wrestlers was a dream come thru. He’s only been wrestling for three months, and sometimes it pays to be the replacement guy.

Dos de Tres teases a feature on behind the scenes of TripleMania. Surprised they’d show La Parka and LA Park within arms reach of each other, even in this context.

Hidalgo Sports interviews Fuerza Minera, who is apparently sponsored by the local mineworkers union.

Cronicas Y Leyendas write about San Luis Potosi legendary local wrestler Carnicero Grimaldo.

People are (predictably) complaining about the bad condition of the floor in Auditorio Municipal de Torreon after the return box and lucha events, including an AAA taping. This is what got those events kicked out of that building again.

In Oaxaca, the town council is reviewing local laws passed in 1986 which ban women’s wrestling and prohibit parents from bringing infants to the shows. That 1986 date means they put in the women’s wrestling ban just as Mexico City was lifting theirs, probably in response to other ruling.

There’s a restaurant in Tulsa, Oklahoma – Elote Cafe and Catering – with lucha libre wrestling every other Thursday. KTUL has a story about the luchadors, and I think have a new favorite gimmick: La Princesa De Cerveza. How did she come up with that identity?

La Princesa’s image was a simple matter of taste, “I love beer, absolutely love beer. So I figured why not be the princess of beer?”

Why not!

Lineups

CMLL (TUE) 07/20 Arena Mexico
1) Rayo Tapatío I & Rayo Tapatío II vs Artillero & Súper Comando
2) Pequeño Halcón, Pequeno Maximo, Último Dragoncito vs Cisne, Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Violencia
3) Ángel Azteca Jr., Ángel de Plata, Fabián el Gitano vs Arkangel de la Muerte, Dr. X, Skándalo
4) Máximo, Rotoporky, Sagrado vs Charly Manson, El Alebrije, Olímpico
5) La Máscara, La Sombra, Máscara Dorada vs Héctor Garza, Terrible, Texano

Charly Manson (spelled “Charlie”, but that may just be CMLL.com’s random spelling generator) starts here as an Invader, though how long he lasts is anyone’s guess. This is his first match here, but maybe not his first appearance – he was one of the AAA guys who invading to set up the AAA vs CMLL show if I’m remembering right. Two more of the four minis introduced recently actually make their debut.

Beside the debuts, they’ve also got the current trios champs versus some possible contenders, plus the tercera has some Infierno en el Ring fall out. It’s the first appearance for an unmasked Fabian/Dr. X, or maybe those two both still have their masks but are setting up a one on one encounter soon. (And the opener is the quintessential opener.)

CMLL (TUE) 07/20 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Black Metal vs Titanio
2) Angelo & Javier Cruz Jr. vs Acertijo & León Blanco
3) Leo & Palacio Negro vs Ebola & Ráfaga
4) Fuego, Metal Blanco, Stuka Jr. vs Exterminador, Máscara Mágica, Pólvora
5) Blue Panther, Hijo del Fantasma, Metro vs Atlantis, Dragón Rojo Jr., Rey Bucanero

Less interesting. Mascara Magica just returned last week after being out of the ring for weeks, lined up against Metal Blanco then, and is lined up against Metal Blanco now. Take a guess where this one is going.

DTU (FRI) 07/23 Centro Banamex
1) Dement Xtreme vs Chica Tormenta
2) Tacubo vs Muerte Bucanera, Disturbio, Flamita, Ciclope, Hormiga, Skrash, ?
3) Tribal vs Black Fire
4) Trauma I & Trauma II vs Paranoiko & Psicosis III
5) Crazy Boy & Daga vs Drastik Boy & Iron Love and Eterno & Low Rider
6) Aeroboy vs Joe Lider, Kaientai, Violento Jack, Murder Angel [DTU]

Another updated card for LLExpo. Show name is “I [heart] DTU”, which I believe is a trick to force me to type those words. Devilish.

All the AAA-specific guys – Electroshock, Dark Family – are off this card, as is Negro Navarro and Skayde. The last two might be someone realizing no one was allowed to work doubleheaders last year and adjustments being made (which means the NWA card might lose the Traumas.)

The only AAA guys left are part of the usual pack of guys who were working these sorts of shows before they were in AAA. At the same time, MedioTiempo has an interview with Crazy Boy talking about this updated lineup. Crazy trips over himself talking about how much the fantastic relationship he has with AAA even though he hasn’t been on TV in quite a while. Crazy Boy says it’s Violento Jack and Aero Boy and Paranoico who take care of DTU when he’s on tour with AAA.

The Disturbio guy in the second can’t be the CMLL guy, or it won’t be the CMLL guy.
