Infierno en el Ring set for 07/19, Santo surgery

The CMLL press event had the expected amount of news. CMLL Gaceta has the only wrap up I’ve seen, though a lot was mentioned back on Twitter

  • Infierno en el Ring was officially announced for 07/19. That’s a week later than earlier speculation. The ten men in the cage match are the ten men you’d expect: Shocker, Rush, Máximo, Blue Panther, Super Porky, Negro Casas, Averno, Mr. Águila, Rey Escorpión, Rey Bucanero. Averno and Blue Panther were the last to sign (among the people who actually showed up, no Brazo de Plata), both challenging each to another apuesta match should they survive this one. That match would be a one fall submission match with no ropes no ropes break, and is unlikely to actually happen no matter what goes on here. Mr.
  • A 35th Blue Panther Anniversary show will be held on 08/16. The main event is Blue Panther, Atlantis and Negro Casas vs Solar, Negro Navarro and Black Terry. That should be outstanding.
  • Marco Corleone announced his knee injury was not as severe as previously reported, and he’ll be back in August. That’s way ahead of the initial schedule. He also said that any enemy of Rush is an enemy of himself and Maximo.
  • More En Busca de un Idolo shuffling. Shocker and Rush argued about who was running the tecnico team. Mr. Niebla takes over for Terrible with the rudos (just Vangelis.) Like last year, all the participants will come back for a cibernetico after the tournament, on 07/26. There was no mention of any prize for the winner.
  • Taichi starts on 07/26, and the CMLL travels to Japan (REINA, NJPW) were mentioned.

Ray Mendoza Jr. also held a press conference for his show on the 20th. Not much news on that one. There’s CMLL luchadors all over the lineup, but they none appeared at the press conference. Hijo de Pirata Morgan challenged V5 to a hair vs hair match, and V5 said no.

In his weekly Record column, El Hijo del Santo explains he was hurt so much by LA Park’s martinete, he had surgery – to his intestines, because of the pressure the move put on his abdominal region. Riiiiight. This sounds like Santo  previously had surgery scheduled and decided to weave into this match. He’ll be out for 45 days.

AAA sent out an interview with Nino Hamburguesa talking about Sunday’s match in Ecatepec as his TV debut match. It’s not his TV debut match; he wrestled in the opener of the March 3rd San Luis Potosi Sin Limite taping, which eventually aired on Fusion. This Sunday’s match in Ecatepec is also an opener and may also end up on Fusion or not aired at all.

NJPW’s Kizuna Road iPPV is tomorrow morning. It’s starting at 4:30 am Central Time, with the CMLL Tag Team Title match taking place around 6am. I think I’m watching this live.

This week’s Tercera Caida was filmed before a live audience in Arena Queretaro, with the American Wolves and promotes Carlos Maynes. DTU’s 4 show weekend tour starts tonight in that building and will eventually air on TVC Deportes.

CMLL (SUN) 06/30/2013 Arena Coliseo [CMLL]
1) Molotov & Sensei b Camorra & Zayco
tecnicos took 1/3 in a boring match.
2) Bushiroad, Diamante, Leono b Arkángel de la Muerte, Nitro, Skándalo
Leono replaced Starman. Tecnicos took 1/3 in a boring match.
3) Princesa Blanca b Dark Angel [lightning]
Blanca beat Angel with an cradle and a hand on ropes in 8:43. Good match, best of the show so far. Blanca threw around hair match challenges post match.
4) Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Sagrado b Felino, Namajague, Shigeo Okumura
Tecnicos took 2/3, including Delta and Guerrero Maya beating Namajague & Okumura. No hint of a title match challenge post match.
5) Diamante Azul, La Sombra, Shocker DQ Pierroth, Rey Bucanero, Volador Jr.
Tecnicos took 1, with Azul breaking Pierroth on a german suplex. Volador fouled Sombra in the second.
6) La Máscara, Rush, Titán b Kráneo, Mr. Águila, Psicosis [MEX TRIOS]
Tecnicos took 2/3 in a disappointingly sloppy match to win the titles. Rush was clearly holding the ropes on the pinfall, but no one brought any attention to it. Invasors fall in their third defense. Post match celebration was pre-empted by another earthquake drill.

Main event title change is very weird. The show ending very quickly (because of the earthquake drill) added to the strange feel. It feels like a hurried change because they had to get the titles off the Invasors because someone is leaving and they’d figure out the rest later. Mr. Aguila is still the strong favorite to lose the Infierno en el Ring cage match, so maybe it’s him. Or maybe someone woke up and decided Rush had to have a title belt. CMLL Universal tournament is not that far away.

Dark Angel vs Princesa Blanca was the best match on the show. Sombra’s listed for a Tuesday night show in Guadalajara and then he’s off to Japan. Terrible finishes up Tuesday in Arena Mexico. That’s going to be a tough turnaround for the NJPW 07/05 show.

CMLL (SUN) 06/30/2013 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) El Divino & Virgo b Évola & Magnum
Divino took 1/3.
2) Esfinge, León Blanco, Metatrón b Acertijo, Espectrum, Infierno
Tecnicos took 1/3.
3) Black Metal, Gallo, Leo, Súper Popular b Bárbaro Cavernario, Exterminador, Maléfico, Ráfaga
Tecnicos took 1/3, Metal defeating Cavernario. Debutee Popular wasn’t involved in any of the finishes.
4) Demonio Rojo b Azteca de Oro [mask]
Azteca de Oro pinned Demonio Rojo in the first, Demonio Rojo took the second, and submitted Oro in the third. Azteca de Oro is Antonio Escobedo, 25 years old, 11 years a vet, which means he started wrestling professionally at 14.
5) Máscara Dorada, Mistico, Valiente b Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Niebla Roja
Estetas took 1/3, Mistica on Euforia in the third.
6) Último Guerrero b Atlantis
Atlantis was again honored for 30 years of wrestling. Atlantis took the first, UG the second, and Gran Guerrero and Ultimo Guerrero pulled a switch in the third fall to get the win.

First time we’ve seen them pull that switch, and probably won’t be the last time.

Hijo del Santo was taken to the hospital after his match in Arena Solidaridad with LA Park and Dr. Wagner. His wife posted a photo of Santo being strechered backstage still in his gear, which suggests this is a storyline and probably build to the mask match they’d like to do in September. The building looks 60% full for the match, which must be a disappointment and suggests it may not be a big deal.

1) Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. b Centvrión
Match had been announced as Dinamic Black & Imposible vs Golden Magic & Poseidon. 0 for 4.
2) La Chola & Rossy Moreno b Esther Moreno & Lady Apache
Chola landed a splash on Esther Moreno. Still teasing the hair match here.
3) Súper Muñeco, Súper Pinocho, Súper Ratón DQ Black Terry, Scorpio Jr., Shu el Guerrero [WWA TRIOS]
Straight falls for the champions. Second (at least) defense. More tease of Shu/Muneco.
4) Blue Demon Jr. & El Hijo Del Santo b Heddi Karaoui & Zumbi [PWR TAG]
Demon put Zumbi in la de a caballo while Demon submitted Heddi to an armbar to win. Santo & Demon’s first defense.
Rayo took falls 2/3 to win Universo’s hair. Universo has lost his last four recorded hair match.

A feud that restarted for CMLL this spring ends in TxT. Not to a great crowd; looks like maybe a third full. The ruleta de la muerte format does not appear to be a draw; this seems like it would’ve done the same amount if they just announced Rayo vs Universo.

CMLL (SUN) 06/23/2013 Arena Coliseo [CMLL]
1) Bengala & Fresbee b Cholo & Herodes Jr.
2) Bárbaro Cavernario, Disturbio, Hijo del Signo b Black Metal, Metálico, Molotov
Barbaro & Metal’s DF debuts. Barbaro did a lot better. Signo submitted Metalico in the third.
3) Namajague, Puma, Shigeo Okumura b Bushiroad, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr.
Rudos took 2/3, Okumura fouling Maya. Bushiroad looked good and seems to fit right in. Puma suffered a left shoulder injury in the first fall and was favoring it after the match, but you wouldn’t be able to tell in his wrestling.
4) Diamante b Boby Zavala [lightning]
Diamante won with an armbar headscissors in 5:09.
5) Diamante Azul, Máscara Dorada, Mistico b Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
Tecnicos took 2/3, winning the last with a star and an Azul tapatia on Averno in the middle.
6) La Máscara, Rush, Titán b Mr. Águila, Psicosis, Volador Jr.
Tencicos took 2/3, Rush & Mascara getting clean pins in the third. La Mascara pointed out he’d beaten Invasors two weeks in a row, and challenged for a trios title match. Rush & Titan supported him, and the Invasors agreed – though there was lots of talk about mask or hair matches to come, and Psicosis threw out a challenge for Mascara’s title.

Show was okay. Title match came out of left field and doesn’t feel like a chance for a title change. Maybe it’s a chance for Aguila to get a convincing win so people won’t suspect he’s losing his hair. Maybe the story will be how Rush reacts if his team loses.

CMLL (SUN) 06/23/2013 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Índigo b Samael (Guadalajara)
2) El Divino & Virgo b Acertijo & Jocker
Tecnicos took 1/3.
3) Esfinge & León Blanco b Mr. Trueno & Rey Trueno
tecnicos took 1/3, Blanco plancha on Rey Trueno
4) Leo b StarmanGalloSmakerHalcón de PlataArkángel de la MuerteEspectrumRáfagaMaléficoExterminador [Copa 54 Anniversario]
Exterminador replaced Olimpico. Battle royal set sides. Eliminations: Halcon de Plata (Exterminador), Exterminador (foul on Smaker), Smaker (Espectrum), Espectrum (Rafaga), Starman (Leo), Rafaga (Gallo), Gallo (Arkangel), Arkangel (Leo), Malefico (Leo) leaving Leo as the winner. Americo Rocca and Gran Markus Jr. were honored after the match.
5) Atlantis & Valiente DQ Gran Guerrero & Último Guerrero
Tecnicos took 2/3, Ultimo Guerrero fouling Atlantis for the DQ. This sets up a singles match next week.

So much for me assuming the Puebla match would be their last singles match for the time being.

X-Fly beat lost to Dr. Cerebro in their IWRG hair match. More results tomorrow.

IWL announced they’re now affiliated with Pro Wrestling Freedom. Pro Wrestling Freedom turns out to be a small promotion in Kentucky. Of the 50 or so people on the roster, I had only heard of one woman; they’re much smaller stars in their country than even the IWL guys are in theirs. Mad Man Pondo is listed as alumni. This sounds like a very IWL deal.

1) Fulgor I b Seiya
2) Imposible & Picudo Jr. b Ángel Del Amor & Mr. Magia (2013)
Mr. Magia is said to be making his debut, so not the one from last year.
3) Centvrión, Dinamic Black, Golden Magic b Oficial 911, Oficial AK47, Oficial Fierro [super libre]
Centvrion hurt his knee in the second fall to a hospital. 911 pulled Dinamic’s mask again, but Dinamic rolled him up anyway for the win. Dinamic wants a shot at 911’s Rey del Ring.
4) Decnnis, Hijo de Máscara Año 2000, Scorpio Jr. b Chico Che, Pantera, Veneno
Guapito fouled Veneno and Scorpio pinned him for the win.
5) Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Pirata Morgan, Pirata Morgan Jr. b Eterno, Súper Nova, X-Fly [IWRG IC TRIOS]
Piratas took 1/3, when Super Nova twice hit Eterno with dives by mistake. Pirata submitted X-Fly for the win. Piratas’s second defense.

Last Thursday’s show was taped for AYM/LAS. This week’s Thursday show was not taped at all.

AAA quietly has a taping today in Leon. It’s been understandable lost in the TripleMania build up, because it’s a show apparently being taped before AAA’s biggest show of the year to air after. Not much can happen, though a lot of the major people from the TripleMania show will be on this one. Perro & Cibernetico are the exceptions, but all three guys in the heavyweight championship picture and many of those battling for the tag team championship are on this show. The scheduled main event is Chessman, Texano, and Villano IV vs Canek, Mesias and La Parka, which is a much odder set off teams than when this show was first announced. Canek is a rudo on TripleMania teaming with V4 but facing him here. Mesias also may be a rudo by the end of TripleMania. Chessman and Texano are definitely not friends too, but how much AAA of that wants to play out is questionable.

Electroshock & Heavy Metal take on Mascara Ano 2000 Jr. & Silver King in the semimain, with another Secta vs Perros del Mal encounter in the fourth match. Steve Pain makes his AAA TV debut teaming with Carta Brava & Eterno against Angelico, Drago and Jack Evans, and the second match continues the Atomic Boy vs Apache feud in a mixed trios. There’s an opener, but the participants have not been listed (and I’d guess it’s local guys given they’re announcing Eterno in a match.)

The 2nd & the 3rd matches seem like the sort of matches which would air on Fusion, which would make this only a single week of TV for AAA Sin Limite. The problem with that is AAA hasn’t announced any tapings post TripleMania, and would need to be taping next weekend if Leon is going to last only one week. (Maybe TripleMania will air on TV after all?)

Cibernetico, Perro Aguayo Jr., Flamita, Pentagon Jr., Jennifer Blake and others are in Tijuana tonight, part of a The Crash show. Cibernetico and Perro Aguayo have a singles match two days before their hair match, and others are involved in a cruiserweight title tournament.

CMLL’s Arena Mexico show’s main event pushes the perennial Ultimo Guerrero vs Atlantis and La Sombra vs Volador Jr. feuds, with the odd ball combination of Titan and Pierroth rounding out the trios. Many of the guys who’ve made recent hair match challenges are bunched together in the semifiinal, so that should end with even more challenges. Dragon Rojo vs Rey Cometa is the lightning match, back for one week with no En Busca de un Idolo singles matches. That tournament continues with a Negro Casas, Stuka, Valiente vs Virus, Vangelis, Fuego. (I may not be able to record that; this would be a good week to message me when the live stream turns up.) NJPW’s Bushi debuts here in a good looking tercera, but everything is probably going shorter than usual with six trios and one singles match tonight.

R de Rudo, Estrellas del Ring and MedioTiempo have stories about AAA’s annual pilgrimage parade. A lot the same as every year, though it looks like they got COMEX to sponsor it this year. As usual, there’s mystery people in big group picture – who’s the guy in the Tinieblas style mask?

Frequent retiree Vampiro says he’s back full time and signed a five year deal. Riiiiiiiight. I’ve been concerned on Chessman’s behalf for a while about how AAA keeps calling him Vampire Killer and even though I doubt any five year deal in lucha libre, this fits with that concern. I’d recommend Chessman not climb up any tall objects or set up any tables on Sunday.

La Lucha se la Hace, the SLP based lucha show I’ve been posting for the last few months, will now start airing on Mexicanal Sundays at 5pm central. The quality of the webstream has been pretty poor, so this might be much improved if it airs as scheduled. (Which reminds me, the GALLI show never aired on either of the two announced times.)

Rompe Huesos looks back at other TripleMania hair match.

Kcidis has a drawing of Fuerza and Juventud Guerrera for Father’s Day. Fuerza is smiling, which seems totally unlike him unless Octagon is slumped on the ground nearby.

Pentagon beat Fresero
5) Ludark Shaitan b Crazy Mary [Copa Femenil Extrema IWL]
expected hardcore match.
6) Carta Brava I, Cerebro Negro, Fantasma de la Ópera b Cíclope, Niko, Pagano and Epitafio, Leviatham, Rocky Santana and Scorpio Jr., Tony Rivera, Zumbudo and Black Terry, Dinamic Black, Dr. Cerebro and Drastik Boy, Paranoiko, Super Mega and Eterno, Súper Nova, X-Fly and Argenis, Drago, Fénix
Ultimo Gladiador replaced Super Nova. Ciclope was the mystery luchador on his team. Preshow press conference had built up the AULL/IWL rivarlry, and team IWL won.
7) Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown b Ángel o Demonio, León Rojo, Ovett [IWL TRIOS]
Clowns won the trios titles back with a distraction from Rocky Santana

The opener, who’s names I’m sure of so no listed here, was the only match to get money thrown in. Luchador count: 62! There looks to be so many people standing on the apron during the 4 way atomicos, I don’t know how anyone saw the match. Outdoor arena looked about a 1/4 full (and also looked like it would be a great venue if full.)  Ludark’s match is on her YouTube channel. The entire show looks to have been taped for TVC Deportes.

CMLL (MON) 06/10/2013 Arena Puebla [El Popular]
1) Ares, Espíritu Maligno, Saurón b Águila Egipcia, Meyer, Tigre Rojo Jr.
Aguila Egipcia’s debut here.
2) Hombre Bala, Stigma, Super Halcon b Arkángel de la Muerte, Disturbio, Nitro
3) Blue Panther, Fuego, Sagrado DQ Morphosis, Olímpico, Vangelis
Morphosis fouled Blue Panther. Fuego listed as wrestling again.
4) Diamante Azul, La Sombra, Máscara Dorada b Mr. Niebla, Pierroth, Terrible
Diamante Azul replaced Shocker, Terrible replaced Gran Guerrero. Pierroth’s debut (under that name; last here in July 2003 under his last name.) Azul beat Niebla with the German suplex.
5) Atlantis b Último Guerrero
Atlantis took fall won with a rana, Ultimo Guerrero took second with a powerbomb with his feet on the ropes. UG tried to use the Atlantida in the third, but Atlantis escaped and beat him.

Popular lists Fuego as working this show, but then they had him working last week’s show and it turned out to be Stigma instead. This is important because Fuego’s scheduled to wrestle tonight in the final night of the first round of the En Busca de un Idolo, in a classic “win and get a lot of votes and get some favorable reviews and make sure they never fix their scoring typo” situation.

Fuego is 65 points behind Fantasma based on CMLL’s standings. It should be 67, but they’ve embarssingly never fixed a wrong score. As of the moment, Fuego would get 28 points more than Fantasma from the poll, which leaves Fuego with 38 points to pick up tonight. It turns out Fuego has averaged 18 points from the judges, and that and 20 points from a win would give exactly the number he needs. The trailing people in the polls have gotten more points than they earned most every week, so Fuego probably needs to get closer to 24 to feel any safe. Fuego faces Misterioso tonight and as bad as Misterioso has done for himself, his opponents have averaged 25 points from the judges so far. That would be plenty.

And yet, we don’t know if Fuego is actually okay. He’ll probably fight because luchadors are crazy people who fight when they should not – which is the same reason I’d assume Stuka and Mistico will also be on tonight’s card – but there’s a chance for mass chaos here.

CMLL Gaceta has a preview of tonight’s show, where the Avernos are dismissive of the Estetas and the entire concept of championships. “We do not need the trios titles to know we’re the best team in world”, says Ephesto.  Perhaps they’re slightly bitter they were left out.

Parka Negra said on Twitter he was in a car accident with Super Parka. Actually, he says “I finally awoke from a car accident”, which sounds not good at all, but he says he’s okay.

AAA announced mexican born UFC fighter Erik “Goyito” Perez will second Octagon at TripleMania. AAA’s been working on this since Perez mentioned he was a fan of Octagon growing up and wore an Octagon inspired mask to the octagon for a UFC fight. (It appears he also generally likes lucha libre; he posted photos with Volador Jr. and Volador Sr. a couple weeks ago.) I would expect Perez does something that’ll can be used as a highlight elsewhere, and that AAA will want to stay close to Perez and MMA as time goes on.

The lucha show over the weekend in New York with Blue Demon, Bestia, Damian, and Extreme Tiger among others drew poorly and many wrestlers did not get paid. It’s different promoters, but there seems to be a bad track record with New York based lucha libre promotions.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update, including results from Cancun. Thunder worked the show. Los Colisenos says the Thunder Facebook linked to last week is a fake account, though frustratingly in a fashion where no one could have known what he was talking about.

Texano reassures the world that Texano will not be losing his title at TripleMania. I feel better.

Apolo Valdes mentioned this year’s Lucha Libre Expo will be November 8-10th. Probably more coming tomorrow.

This tournament seems set up for Estetas del Aire winning to popularize them as the great new team – but are you really going to be able to popularize a CMLL trio on the day of TripleMania?

It’s great Dark Angel is back, but that match also needed Silueta and like three more. Oh well. I still haven’t gotten to the matches with Lluvia yet, maybe she’s awesome now.

Tecnicos took 1/3, Fantasma surprising Misterioso with a roll up.
5) La Sombra, Máximo, Rush DQ Tama Tonga, Terrible, Tiger
Tecnicos took 1/3, Terrible fouling Sombra in the third fall. Sombra challenged Terrible to a singles match, but Terrible just left.
6) Mephisto b Mistico
Mephisto won the first with a powerbomb, Mistico came back in the second with a torito. Mistico landed his rope crossing dive late in the ring, then landed a shooting star press once without being able to get the pin. Moments later, he went for another, but his feet hit the the ropes on the way down and Mistico crashed shoulder first into the mat. Mistico attempted to cover Mephisto anyway, but Mephisto put him in an armbar and Mistico immediately gave up. The doctor and Tirantes attended to Mistico after the match.

CMLL hasn’t said anything about Mistico’s status, but the local promoter in Durango says Mistico has suffered a shoulder injury and will not be wrestling at their show on Sunday, though he will be appearing to sign autographs. Hope he didn’t hurt his signing shoulder. Delta replaces him on that card. Mistico is supposed to be on Friday night’s Arena Mexico show, and no replacement has been announced yet.

1) Espanto Jr. & Herodes Jr. b Metatrón & Oro Jr.
2) Demus 3:16, Pequeño Olímpico, Pequeño Warrior b Astral, Bam Bam, Pequeño Halcón
Rudos took 1/3. Bam Bam’s latest return, though it ended with Demus dropping him with his piledriver so he could be gone again. Olimpico also submitted Ultimo Dragon.
3) Fuego, Stuka Jr., Triton DQ Hijo del Signo, Shigeo Okumura, Vangelis
Stuka & Okumura are feuding (or maybe this is the Coliseo tag team feud again.) Stuka beat fall 1, then the rudos were DQed for excessive violence in the second.
4) Blue Panther, Máscara Dorada, Valiente b Niebla Roja, Pólvora, Rey Escorpión
Straight falls for the tecnicos when the rudos fell apart. Polvora sided with Rey Escorpion and Niebla Roja wasa left without his mask.
5) Negro Casas b Ángel de Oro [lightning]
Negro continued his dominance over Angel de Oro with a win in 8:49.
6) Tama Tonga & Terrible b Atlantis & Diamante Azul [CMLL TAG]

Aerostar, Dark Dragon and Fenix won the main event over Difunto I, Monje Negro Jr., and Potro Jr. by DQ in Monterrey, with Dark Dragon refused to help his teammates.

MedioTiempo has an interview with Mesias. He talks a bit about his match with Texano, but also calls LA Park his toughest rival since coming to Mexico, and trashes Carlito as someone’s been handing everything and used his influence to keep Mesias from going to WWE.

I will be losing AYM Sports from my cable system on 12/12. AYM has broadcasts Sobre el Ring (the Javier Llanes/Jaque Mate interview show) and various independent groups (Revolution Free Style! FULL!), but is most notable for broadcasting IWRG’s Sunday shows the last couple months. I’m going to miss those, there’s been some really great and fun matches during this short run. The show drives me crazy because I’m up until way too late to put it together for the Tuesday post, but I’ve been thrilled to share the matches with everyone else. We’ve got four more Mondays to go.

I think it may be a case where everyone in the United States is losing AYM; this is not a surprise, one of you mentioned a month back they tried to sign up to get the channel only to be told AYM was going away by their cable system. The channel that replaces it is “Latin American Sports“, and is owned by the same parent company, so they may have simply decided to change which channel they wanted to transmit to the US. AYM Sports itself will still keep broadcasting in Mexico and continue the lucha libre shows, I just won’t be able to share them. The channel description for Latin American Sports says it too broadcasts wrestling (possibly from Puerto Rico?), but does not say what. It’s supposedly already on DISH Network, but I can’t find a guide with a programming listing and there is no website.

Murder Clown is upset the Infierno Rockers would attack them from behind. That’s not very gentlemanly! There’s also talk about the Psycho Circus wanting the trios titles back. It’s seemed like AAA may be doing a Psycho Circus vs Consejo trios title rematch (with Silver defending the title instead of Texano), and that’s suggested in this article agian, but maybe it’ll turn out to be three way with the Rockers?

Joe Lider & Kaientai will face off in a hair vs mask match on NGX’s 10th anniversary show.

DTU luchador Tacubo will be given an award for his anti-bullying campagin.

R de Rudo has a podcast talking about Eddie Guerrero, 7 years after his passing. Perros del Mal will also discuss Eddie Guerrero on their podcast.

AAA’s website has an article about how AAAwesome AAA is. If they really want talk about how they have zero taboos, maybe they can mention Extreme Tiger leaving.

AAA also has part one and part two of their interview with Psycho Circus.

X-Project is doing it’s annual toy drive, this one for Fray Tormenta.

El Hijo del Santo was part of a press conference to promote a film festival in Mexico City later this month.

Lineups

CMLL

CMLL (TUE) 11/20/2012 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Halcón de Plata & Metatrón vs Exterminador & Magnum
2) Gallo, Sensei, Starman vs Bárbaro Cavernario, Cancerbero, Raziel
3) Dalis la Caribeña, Estrellita, Silueta vs La Comandante, Princesa Blanca, Zeuxis
4) Atlantis, Hijo del Fantasma, Máscara Dorada vs Morphosis, Psicosis, Tama Tonga
5) La Máscara vs Volador Jr.

This is the seventh La Mascara/Volador Jr. match this year, and third in Guadalajara. They’ve split the other two.

A increasingly rare Morphosis appearance! His first match in CMLL in two months, his first appearance in Guadalajara since February. Mophosis seems to spend most of his time in Texas/northern Mexico, where he’s still working as Histeria.

More loaded card than usual means Metatron is down to the opener here.

IWRG (SUN) 11/18/2012 Arena Naucalpan
1) Astro Rey Jr. & Serpiente de Oro vs Dragón Celestial & Epidemia
2) Cerebro Negro, Dr. Cerebro, Trauma II vs Carta Brava Jr., Eita, Oficial Fierro
3) Dinamic Black, Golden Magic, Saruman vs Alan Extreme, Imposible, Jack
4) Hijo de Pirata Morgan vs Veneno, Trauma I, Oficial AK47, Cien Caras Jr., Relámpago, Canis Lupus, Hijo de Máscara Año 2000 [#1 Contenders, Rey de Ring]
5) el Ángel vs Oficial 911 [IWRG IC WELTER]

It’s been a long six days since the last IWRG tournament. Relampago is going to keep going into these until he finally wins a match. Last #1 contenders match meant an immediate title match, not sure if that’s the same here.

911 vs Angel looks really good, as do the 2nd and 3rd match. It looked like Cerebro Negro was headed towards the rudo side in last weekend’s tournament, something to watch here. Interesting to see Trauma II scheduled for a segunda.

They’re doing a 3 for a price of 2 ticket deal.
