AAA TV (SAT) 05/26 Centro de Convenciones, Minatitlan, Veracruz [Payable XXX @ box y lucha]
1) Payaso Carrona, Payaso Miedo, Payaso Terror b Canibal, Nemesis AAA, Nygma
2) Fabi Apache, La Diabolica, Rossy Moreno b Cinthia Moreno, Estrellita, Sexy Star
3) Laredo Kid & Super Fly DQ Gran Apache & Super Calo
4) Antifaz del Norte, Fuerza Guerrera, Histeria, Psicosis II b Alberije, Charly Manson, El Elegido, Juventud Guerrera
5) Cuervo, Escoria, Ozz b Crazy Boy, Extreme Tiger, Joe Lider
6) Cuervo, El Mesias, Kenzo Suzuki, Ozz, Scoria b Chessman, Cibernetico, Zorro b Chessman, Cibernetico, Zorro

Something’s up with Abismo, because he missed this taping as well. The recap says “the Sect” replaced him in the match, so maybe that should more or different people – I’ll fix it when AAA throws up the results on their site. I’m sure everyone ran in, and Charly got in the last shot to help his team.

Somehow, even though the announced mystery partner was on the Sect’s side, Extreme Tiger ended up being a mystery partner with the Mexican Powers. He’s the newest member of the group – it was pretty obvious he was either going to be teaming with them or fighting against them, so they keep doing their style of matches and absolutely nothing else.

On the last taping, Gran Apache got busted open against the Air Force. He and Calo destroyed Laredo and Super Fly here, losing the match only because of excessive violence.

Mr. Niebla also seems a bit MIA; Psicosis II filled in for him in the fourth match. Estrellita might have gotten hurt on a Fabi Apache suplex.

I would say there’s a 99.999% chance the mystery man teaming with the Sect is Extreme Tiger, making his debut. I think we’re much more likely to be headed towards Crazy Boy and Joe Lider completing a title swap and getting the tag team titles rather than adding people to Mexican Powers. If that’s the plan, you can work backwards and see Psicosis II wasn’t needed for the group longer, and Juvi can just wander off his own way (as he tends to do.) Obviously, this match will go back for the MPs.

That’s quite the random collection of tecnicos in the semifinal. Elsewhere, we’re just ticking along as usual – I think we already fulfilled our plot developments for this month.

6) Cibernetico b El Mesias

The big angle on the show was Psicosis II turning on his partners, giving the win and the Atomico titles to the Sect. Post match, Prez Roldan appeared to fire Psicosis from AAA for betrayed them, but naturally he just joined the opposition forces. AAA’s recap notes it’s unclear if he’s meant to be a Viper or a member of the Sect.

I guess they could still break Juvi off down the road, but I don’t think this is a last minute switch – if/when Juvi splits, he’s still got to be a tecnico to feud with Fuerza. I’m not quite sure how/when/if that’ll go down.

Psicosis stuck around to wrestle in the next match, because Abismo (and Mini Abismo) were missing from the show. Rudos stole that match. Main event had the Sect helping out Mesias, Chessman in Cibernetico’s corner not being quite enough, and La Parka Jr. and Zorro running out to help Cibernetico win. So they’re still all allied. If this was a US group, I’d think they’d be setting up some War Games like match; maybe here, we’re heading to a big multi man stips match.

Once again, the Air Force/Barrio Boys match got switched to an eight man – they seem to be pushing Alan, Decnnis, Apache and Super Calo as a new unit (or a new version of the Barrio Boys.) At least Rey Cometa made this match. Rudos were on their way to the win when Laredo Kid ran into help his side to a win. That seems unfair.

No names given to the evil clowns, though we know they won. Mascarita Sagrada and, as previous stated, Mini Abismo were missing from the opener. Mini Histeria gave Divina a martiente to sneak a win.

05/20 AAA TV Taping Lineup (Morelia, Michoacan)

Update: The Mexipowers/Sect match is now for the Atomicos titles, as anticipated. Also, Aero Star continues filling it for the MIA Rey Cometa.

Previous: 04/27, 05/06 (lineup), 05/12 (lineup)

Odd that AAA posted the TV taping for two weeks from now, and not the results from last night yet. Eh.

AAA TV (SUN) 05/20 Plaza de Toros Palacio del Arte de Morelia, Michoacan
1) Gallego, Mr. Condor, Toxico vs Payaso Negro I, Payaso Negro II, Payaso Negro III
2) Mascarita Divina & Mascarita Sagrada vs Mini Abismo Negro & Mini Histeria
3) Pegasso, Aero Star, Super Fly vs Alan, Decnnis, Gran Apache
4) Cuervo, Espiritu, Ozz, Scoria vs Crazy Boy, Joe Lider, Juventued Guerrera, Psicosis [MEX ATOMICOS]
5) Intocable, Laredo Kid, Zorro vs Abismo Negro, Kenzo Suzuki, X-Pac
6) Cibernetico vs El Mesias

Air Date
Mex: 05/27
US: 06/16

Chessman (named spelled wrong on AAA’s site) and Konnan are seconds for the main event. I presume this match means Chessman loses the match the week before. This show is subtitled Gran Tracion. Judging by last year, this means NO ONE TURNS. I dunno.

Interesting to see Juvi still with the Mexican Powers here. That’s about all I got.

US: 06/30

This is good timing, need a new AAA thread to provoke another long argument. You know how you can tell you have too many people on your roster? Everything’s an Atomicos.

Extreme Tiger is the worst possible Super Calo. They actually don’t list Psicosis II on the tecnico team, but I’m assuming that’s not a handicap match.

Doesn’t seem like anything’s going on here, but maybe the taping in between will make this one more interesting.

05/12 AAA Taping Results (Apizaco, Tlaxcala)

Previous: 04/20, 04/27, 05/06

AAA TV (SAT) 05/12 La Plaza de Toros Monumental, Apizaco, Tlaxcala [triplea.com, Villano de la Atlantida @ box y lucha]
1) Némesis AAA, Path Finder, Takeda b Ari Romero Jr., Sangre Chicana Jr., Tigre Cota
2) Aero Star, Laredo Kid, Pegasso, Rey Cometa b Alan, Decnnis, Gran Apache, Super Calo
3) Kenzo Suzuki b Chessman
4) Crazy Boy, Joe Lider, Juventud Guerrera, Psicosis II b Cuervo, Escoria, Espíritu, Ozz [MEX ATOMICO]
5) El Elegido, Super Astro, Super Porky, Tinieblas Jr. b Abismo Negro, Alliens, Antifaz del Norte, Histeria
6) Cibernetico & Zorro b Head Hunter I & X-Pac

Air Date
Mex: 05/20
US: 06/09

Lots of injury/missing subs.

Main event was change to a pairs tag, with other people dropping down to fill in below (Kenzo) or out selling injuries (Charly – who ended up interfering anyway to help his team win.)

Alliens filled in for Mr. Niebla in the semimain (no reason given.) Abismo beat Porky with a top rope splash.

When the title match ended, the Sect were announced as winners. One had snuck in a foul for the winning pinfall, “which all had seen, except Hijo de Tirantes”. Joaquin Roldan overturned the decision, declaring the Sect must win the titles cleanly or not at all – this counts as not as all, so the Mexican Powers are still champions (and still together.) I guess this explains why these two teams were scheduled to rematch next week, and perhaps that’ll become another title match.

Kenzo replaced Muerte, who’s left shoulder was hurt from his match last week.

Segunda was changed to a rematch of the previous week (Calo added, Pegasso and Aero Star replacing Cometa.) Apache beat Laredo Kid with a superplex. Laredo sure takes a lot of pinfalls for the pushed member of the group. Super Fly was hurt during the match.

Path Finder (II) and Takeda replaced Aero Star and Orion.

05/06 AAA TV Results (Oaxaca)

Previous: 04/15, 04/20, 04/27

AAA TV (SUN) 05/06 Explanada del Estadio de Futbol de Oaxaca [El Imparcial (thanks to Steve Sims)]
1) Mini Abismo Negro & Mini Histeria b Mascarita Divina & Mascarita Sagrada
2) Fabi Apache, Rossy Moreno, Tiffany b Cinthia Moreno, Estrellita, Sexy Star
3) Laredo Kid, Pegasso, Super Fly, Aero Star b Alan, Decnnis, El Apache, Super Calo
4) Cuervo, Espiritu, Ozz, Scoria b Crazy Boy, Joe Lider, Juventud Guerrera, Psicosis
5) Abismo Negro, Kenzo Suzuki, X-Pac b Intocable, Super Porky, Zorro
6) Mesias b Charly Manson

Air Date
Mex: 05/12
US: 06/02

Mesias used fire on Charly Manson to get the win. That’s what allying with Abismo will get you. Cibernetico vows revenge, of course.

According to AAA, it was X-Pac who won the semimain. Zorro wad distracted by a kiss with X-Pac’s valet (listed here as Alicia Webb, who’s had minor roles with WWE and TNA) and X-Pac fouled him before finishing him off with his faceslam. After the match, Abismo beat up Intocable with chairs. You know, Konnan talks about not liking the dancing guys, but Abismo is actually living the life and feuding with every single one of them.

Dark Family vs Mexican Powers turned into a hardcore match, and the title match was accepted for the next show (obviously, since it was already announced.)

Gran Apache and the Barrio Boys are clearly rudos now, so I presume Super Calo is one? Carlo and Aero Star were added to the third match, with Aero Star being listed as an official member of the Air Force and Pegasso replacing Rey Cometa (who seems to exist inconsistently). That’s getting to be a big group.

According to the newspaper report, they teased a stips match out of the women’s match, but oddly between Tiffany and Cinthia Moreno. AAA’s recap makes no mention of that.

05/12 AAA TV Lineup (Apizaco, Tlaxcala)

Previous: 04/20, 04/27, 05/06

AAA TV (SAT) 05/12 La Plaza de Toros Monumental, Apizaco, Tlaxcala Lineup [Villano de la Atlantida @ box y lucha]
1) Aeorstar, Orion, Nemesis AAA vs Sangre Chicana Jr., Tigre Cota, Asy Romero Jr.
2) Apache, Alan, Decnis vs Rey Cometa, Laredo Kid, Super Fly
3) Juventued Guerrera, Psicosis II, Crazy Boy, Joe Lider vs Cuervo, Ozz, Scoria, Espiritu [MEX ATOMICOS]
4) Tinieblas Jr., Super Astro, Super Porky, Elegido vs Abismo Negro, Mr. Niebla, Antifaz, Histeria

6) Kenzo Suzuki, X-Pac, Abismo Negro Head Hunter I vs Cibernetico, Charly Manson, Zorro

Air Date
Mex: 05/20
US: 06/09

Abismo being listed twice is probably a typo. The main event is all about the new unions.

Chessman and El Mesias should be an interesting match.

If you’re one of those people who like putting down title changes ahead of time, you can go ahead and do with the Atomicos title. That’s should be about it for Juvi and the Mexican Powers.

04/27 AAA TV Taping Results

previous: 04/01, 04/15, 04/20

AAA TV (FRI) 04/27 Polideportivo de la Universidad Autonoma del Edo, Hidalgo
1) Espantapájaros I, Ghefar, Pesadilla, Toxico b Aero Star, Némesis AAA, Paranoia, Path Finder
2) Jerrito Estrada & Mini Histeria b Mini Crazy Boy & Mini Joe Lider
3) Laredo Kid & Super Fly b Antifaz & Histeria and Alan Stone & Zumbido and Gran Apache & Super Calo
4) Fuerza Guerrera, Juventud Guerrera, Pirata Morgan, Super Porky DRAW Alebrije, Mr. Niebla, Octagón, Scorpio Jr. [relevos incredible]
5) Cuervo, Escoria, Ozz b Crazy Boy, Joe Lider, Psicosis II
6) Cibernetico b Zorro, El Elegido, Chessman, Mesias, Abismo Negro [cage]

Air Date
Mex: 05/05
US: 05/26

Zorro took Parka’s spot (and Porky took Zorro’s spot down on the card), and he was fighting the HB to start – though kinda by default, since Mesias and Cibernetico are feuding and Abismo Negro and Elegido are feuding, so Chessman and Zorro had to either fight or sip tea for a while.

Elegido was the first one out. Zorro followed. Chessman was the third to leave the cage, but he didn’t exactly escape it – he tried and missed a top rope dive again, probably due to some interference. They carted him out. This left Cibernetico with Abismo Negro & Mesias, and it was not going for Cibernetico. And then everyone ran in. I mean, everyone – Konnan, Vipers, Sect, Parka, Octagon, Alebrije, Mexican Powers. The recap calls it “a tremendous mess.” Somewhere in here, Zorro threw his cane in the cage to Cibernetico, who used it to win the match.

After the match, Cibernetico asked another favor of Zorro – to help them unite the Hell Brothers and the AAA. Zorro responded by taking off his mask, which is apparently a yes.

The mixed teams in the fourth match refused to get along, so the referee ended up throwing the match out.

Gran Apache & Super Calo were added to the triangle tag match, but it didn’t matter. Laredo Kid & Super Fly beat Histeria & Antifaz, then they beat Alan Stone & Zumbido and then they beat Gran Apache & Super Calo, and then they had no one left to beat.

05/06 AAA TV Lineup (Oaxaca)

Previous: 04/15, 04/20, 04/27(lineup only)

AAA TV (SUN) 05/06 Explanada del Estadio de Futbol de Oaxaca
1) Mini Abismo Negro & Mini Histeria vs Mascarita Divina & Mascarita Sagrada
2) Cinthia Moreno, Estrellita, Sexy Star vs Fabi Apache, Rossy Moreno, Tiffany
3) Laredo Kid, Rey Cometa, Super FLy vs Alan, Decnnis, El Apache
4) Cuervo, Espiritu, Ozz, Scoria vs Crazy Boy, Joe Lider, Juventud Guerrera, Psicosis
5) Charly Manson vs Mesias
6) Intocable, Super Porky, Zorro vs Abismo Negro, Kenzo Suzuki, X-Pac

Air Date
Mex: 05/12
US: 06/02

X-Pac’s back again. I don’t know why, but he is. He’s listed as having “Linda Web” as a second, whom I can only assume is his current girlfriend.

Konnan and Cibernetico, both who seem to be wrestling the same amount, are seconds in the singles match.

La Parka Jr. is scheduled to appear.

This Fabi/Billy/Apache thing doesn’t appear to be going well for the married couple. They’re separated, Billy’s responsible for all his team’s losses and they hate him so much for it that they’ve turned on him and teamed up with his evil father-in-law, and Fabi’s now a ruda against the woman who might have been stealing her husband.
