Hijo del Fantasma, La Máscara, Shocker vs El Alebrije, Olímpico, Psicosis: I thought this was good. Invasors were not wasting their chance and working hard. Not sure about the lineup (Histeria should’ve been here and Olimpico should’ve been consigned to the b-team, since it had all been mostly about the Psi/Histeria/Alebrije trio) and the rudos really needed to get a win. Even a Hector Garza aided win would’ve worked, but they had to get their hand raised.
The recaps at the time made it sound as if Tirantes was playing totally straight, but it seemed like he was being a subtle rudo. Not too subtle, I figured it out, but you get the idea.
Brazo de Plata, Rayo de Jalisco Jr., Strong Man vs Gigante Bernard, Máscara Año 2000, Universo 2000: Putting aside the actual match, Gigante Bernard dwarfing Strong Man seems to defeat the point of Strong Man’s existence. The inevitable singles match is not going to help things.
