Order of escape (after ten minutes) was Astaroth, Rey Trueno, Hierro, Mr. Trueno, Metal Blanco, and Magnum. That left Rafaga and Samuari as the final two, and Rafaga locked on a double armbar for the win. Guerrero Samuari is Jose Luis Gutierrez, from Guadalajara, 27 years a wrestler and trained by Diablo Velasco.

Dragon Rojo beat Mascara Dorada to set up a title match next week, which is a fan appreciation day here.

Garza’s teammates didn’t like him, but they still won in straight falls.

DJ Spectro has a recap of Sunday’s Rey Misterio Sr. tribute show, not high on the wrestlers or the fans.

A new promotion announced they’d start running shows in Arena Azteca in Hidalgo. There’s currently shows Tuesday and Sunday’s in Arena Aficion in the same town.

At least the interview Perro gives says it’s a title match anyway. Konami & Celestial are working the undercard. This is start of a big week for the Perros.

  1. So, Magnum and Samurai feuded for four months or so, and at the end it was completely meaningless. That is some kind of bullshit.

  2. @Ringo: Yea, I thought that was strange too. My first guess was someone decided they wouldn’t be able to handle doing a singles match against each other (haven’t seen them work, so I dunno) and other people got thrown in, but that usually doesn’t stop lucha promotions.

Neither Mangum nor Samurai ended up turning rudo, which they would’ve needed for the mask match. Maybe that was it.

  4. CMLL has new Friday and Sunday card up. Knowing who is coming on the 7th clearly spoils how Friday night is ending. What a waste of the atomicos concept for the first time in quite a while. They wanted to run one last year on Kids Day before the Swine Flu hit and it looked so much better. IIRC it was Mistico/La Mascara/Volador/Sombra vs Negro/Felino/Niebla/Atlantis.

Also, Gran Alternativa bumped to semi-main since I assume they don’t want it following the big angle after the main event.

Oh god I just realized Luna Magica is back.
