It took a little while to get here, might have gotten held up by UPS, but AAA’s Christmas gift appears to be arrived. A nice big box of continuity.

Gato Eveready beat Tiger Cota in the opener. (That’s not what I meant.)

Back in October, Sexi Star turned on Cinthia Moreno. Cinthia had not forgotten, and did not get along with Sexi Star during the match. Polvo tries to broker a peace, but it did not work and the rudas fell. (Recap actually says Pimpi beat Fabi, which obviously isn’t right. Pimpi picked up the win, that’s for sure.) Just like in October, Sexi jumped Cinthia after the match and the Apaches made the save. Sexi Star needs to make some new friends.

In between matches, Konnan, Zorro, Alex, Chessman, Lider and Nicho hit the ring for Konnan’s usual monologue. Konnan’s New Year’s Resolution is Legion Holds All The Titles. I’m looking forward to the Rain/Zorro mixed tag team challenge! For some reason, Nicho & Lider are reported to be unhappy about this, so maybe they’re not actually in the Legion this week?

Air Force beat Vipers 2.0, amazingly enough. Air Force literally got the jump on the Vipers with some dives as the rudos came to the ring, the Vipers got the edge after Amenisa attacked the tecnicos weak point (foul on Argenis, Piero missed it.) Black Abyss attempted to end Laredo Kid (and my running bit!) with a martinete, but Super Fly broke it up with a dropkick to Laredo, landing him on top for the pin. After all this time, Super Fly finally kicks Laredo Kid, and it’s so they can win a match together! (No turn, don’t get confused.) Vipers beat up Air Force post match.

Back at Heroes Inmoratles, Joe Lider nearly crippled Guapito, and then feuded with Decnnis off an on for the next few months. Decnnis has held on to his grudge. The issues in the women’s match seemed to be more arguing and accidental hitting, but it sounds like the Hermandad threw Decnnis out of the ring and into some furniture very much on purpose. Decnnis survived to help the tecnicos win.

WagnerManiacos dominated the main event, up until Konnan got involved to uneven the numbers. Out for the save came – well, remember around the final Lucha Libre Premier show, where Dr. Wagner seemed to be running his own angle about a possible new member of his group, because they were from the same area, but it seemed like his own angle because it had nothing to do with what was actually going on? Turns out, Dr. Wagner is also psychic: Pimpinela Escarlata hit the ring to make the save. WagnerManiacos, saved, teased walking out on Pimpi and leaving him to die, but came back to return the save. Pimpinela, of the many recent wins, wants in the WagnerManiacos. Will they accept him?

Next taping is Friday. So is Mistico/Volador. Think we should do a chat?

  1. @CM93: I know what you’re thinking, but we’re good

    heavyweight: Chessman
    cruiserweight: Teddy
tag team: uh, just invite the Hermandad into the group
    mixed tag: obvious!
reina de reinas: Jennifer Blade (or maybe just Sexi Star)
minis: maybe they can bring back Mini Konnan?

OR TEDDY HART GETS A MINI. New best idea.

  2. I agree an El Zorro & Rain team would be good. Add a Zorro vs Aero Star feud over the mixed tag titles, Now that would reek of awesomness!

  3. @john: YES! Thank you john for bringing that up! I’ve been thinking that for the longest time! Its like he’s the illegitimate son of Akira Hokuto and Terry Gordy, only he got bigger, but still looks like a giant, fat baby. As talented as he is, I get the feeling a lot of people in wrestling think the same thing.

  4. @john: He does look like a big fatass baby, but that’s part of what makes him the big lovable bastard that he is. He’s a big ol’ fatass, and yet he’s actually great.
