The story we’re going – via Ovaciones – is they needed Arena Coliseo for something on Monday, so they had to move this show to Arena Mexico, and will move the 02/01 Tuesday show since Arena Coliseo. I don’t know why needing the Coliseo on Monday means no show on Sunday, but that’s the story.
For his part, Volador told Fuego en el Ring he’d like a one on one super libre match to see who’s actually better.
Besides Mistico on the ‘rudo’ side and squaring off with Volador again, there’s the Mistico/Niebla team again.
SuperLuchas figures this is pretty obviously an attempt to hurt the Perros/Santo show on Sunday; that is how CMLL’s done it in the past.
SuperLuchas also figures CMLL announcer Mucha Crema has left actually left CMLL and appears to be working with the Perros.
Ovaciones talks to Ultimo Guerrero, who says he’s totally unconcerned about the poor record for the Laguna in the national tournament so far. Ultimo Guerrero figures, as long as he’s alive, they still probably will win. Confidence!
Sangre Azteca says Misterioso II was on vacation last week, which is why he was missing those shows. Doesn’t explain why he was booked for those shows, but halfway there.
AAA says the 02/05 Puebla taping will include Mesias & Latin Lover teaming up, Dr. Wagner Jr. appearing, and “the reappearance of another sexy luchador who hasn’t been on TV for a while.” I suspect this means El Brazo.
DJ Spectro points out a new Frankenstein, teaming with Monsther and Chucky. This sounds like a fine idea.

I thought I recognized the Perros announcer from the last few TV shows. Pretty sure he left a while ago since I am think I remember the kid ring announcer doing the entire CMLL show I went to in December.

Also, is it just me or is Angelico at some point this year gonna end up with either AAA, CMLL, All Japan, or TNA. Excluding work rate, he pretty much has the look all those promotions are looking for right now. I could see him in TNA as a Lance Hoyt type.

Over in the comments at Segunda Caida, I said that Angelico will be in a title match at Wrestlemania 33, or something. He has to drop the kick based offense first, but that shouldn’t be difficult for him to do since it generally looks so terrible.
I’m guessing that the tag team of Latin Lover and Messias will break apart thus building towards their match.

My thinking is this: Mesias turns heel again, rejoins the Legion, Cibernetico turns technico, him and Mesias for the Title, Ciber gets the belt back.

@Daniel: Latin Lover really isn’t a main event level performer at this point. It’s a waste to do anything with Lover and Mesias, who at this point, might be the top player in AAA.
Mesias turning on Lover would not get Mesias over as a heel.

So I was reading over at RFC the card for Sunday’s ACM and they have Purpura/Silver Star/Aventuro vs Hator/Histeria/Psicosis as the main event. I wonder if ACM is going to start going with the PERROS instead of AAA. I’m more interested in the semi main which features Brazo de Plata Jr. I hope that match airs.
if the Mistico and Volador thing gets on the new era of CMLL that could be very interesting to see
@Infermas: I’d like to see Mistico, Volador, Sombra, Fantasma in something of a four-way like Perro, Metal, Garza and Lover years ago.
I thought they should’ve turned or 1/2 turned Volador after he filled in for an injured Mistico. Have Volador ask Mistico to return the favor and fill when he needs the replacement but Mistico would turn him down, and Volador would take it wrong, leading to a feud.
Niebla is clearly turning. His character is now babyface.
Maybe those “scriptwriters” we heard about leaving AAA are in Arena Mexico?

Maybe in your own little fantasy nobody would react if Messias turned on Latin Lover, but here in the real world Latin Lover is a major celebrety in Mexico, a legend in Lucha Libre, a main event wrestler, and if Messias does turn on him he will get a lot of heat from the crowd. He gets bood as a good guy when he faces Waggner, so yeah people would boo him if he turned on Latin Lover.
Even if he doesn’t turn and we have a technico vs technico match at Rey de Reyes you can bet that people will boo Messias and cheer Latin Lover just like with at Triplemania when Messias faces Waggner.
You know LLL, or LuchaLibreEnvivo, or LuchaLibreLive, or Keith, or whatever you call yourself this week, you might have a more clear sense of reality if you didn’t clog the blood flow to your brain with all the RC Cola and patato chips you ingest while sitting in front of your computer and typing non-sense.
In the real world, Latin Lover is a bigger draw than Mistico and Santo combined. Thank god the Real world is scripted.

Mistico and Santo are proven long term draws. They’ve had their up and downs, but they’ve been marquis names and done huge business in recent years.
I don’t recall Latin Lover ever being in a meaningful one-on-one feud that drew money. Only the four-way back in 2000 did big business.
is amusing to see if CMLL goes for this new kind of stories like Volador vs Mistico or if im good guessin why not Atlantis vs U.Guerrero cos if im right U Guerrero and Stuka will make to the final of this tournament so i think i´d enjoy this kind of new stuff
PS. i dont think latin lover would be interested on this kind of stuff at the moment he has bigger plans to make it as a host on tv then wrestling on AAA he support them but i think he just want to look after his face ha lol

Let me remind you of just one example of a one on one feud Latin Lover had that drew money:
Latin Lover vs Jeff Jarrett at Rey de Reyes 2004. That was a huge match, and this was during the time when the whole foreign invader angle was done properly. Latin Lover had all of Mexico behing him including a sold out crowd when he faced the evil invader Jeff Jarrett.

@CM93: IIRC, their hair match in Solidaridad did not sell out, and ticket prices were blamed.
I don’t think it was much of a feud like the four-way of 2000, which did huge business. That sold out everywhere.
