3) Avisman, El Hijo del Diablo, Gringo Loco b Bushi, Chico Che, Suicida
4) Black Terry, Cerebro Negro, Dr. Cerebro b Trauma I, Trauma II, Ultramán Jr.
5) Oficial AK47, Oficial Fierro, Super Porky DQ Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Pirata Morgan, Tóxico

Pirata Sr. fouled Fierro. 911 showed up for the save, and to set up the next Piratas/Oficials title match. Dr. Cerebro sneaking in a foul on on Trauma I.

indy (FRI) 10/30 Monumental Monterrey [EdR]
1) Clever & Leo b Scorpio Jr. & X-Fly
2) Solar I, Super Astro, Ultraman b Black Terry, el Signo, Negro Navarro
3) Damián 666 & Halloween b LA Park & Super Parka [super libre]
4) Matematico Jr. L LA Park, Máscara Año 2000 Jr., el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Axel, Tinieblas Jr., Hijo del Cien Caras, Anibal [cage]

After Perro Jr. got himself involved in the semimain, LA Park added himself to the main event to go for revenge, and ended up winning. Just not against Perro Jr. Matematico Jr. is listed as Renato Garcia, 42, from DF.

(Strong Style Spirit) NJPW, or Jushin Liger more specifically, announced they’d be bringing back the Super J Cup on December 22nd and 23rd. No other specific are announced – not size or participants. Obviously, Mistico would be a safe bet to be included, to set up something for the 01/04 Dome show. If you remember, there was an interview with Sombra in El Siglo de Torreon where he stated he’d be going to Japan in December – perhaps this is that trip? CMLL will be in it’s down period by then, and it’s midweek shows, so it’s not like those two will be missed for a few days. We’ll probably find out a little more next Sunday, when Mistico defends the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship vs Tiger Mask IV in Sumo Hall.

SuperLuchas interviews the promoter of the Guadalajara Festival Mundial de Lucha Libre.

The Mexican cosulate in Montreal is presenting a lucha libre exhibit starting next Sunday.

Kcidis notes the third anniversary of Huracan Ramirez‘s passing.

Croncias and Leyendas looks back at Rayo de Jalisco Jr., winner of the first Gran Prix tournament in 1994, as well as La Park’s battle for his name and a battle of short wrestlers.

SuperLuchas #338 has Rey Misterios vs Batsita on the cover. Inside, there’s an interview with Luis Mariscal, who is not dead.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

CMLL (TUE) 11/03 Arena Mexico
1) Rayo Tapatío I & Rayo Tapatío II vs Camorra & Cholo
2) Pegasso, Rey Cometa, Tigre Blanco vs Hooligan, Pólvora, René Guajardo Jr.
3) Flash, Metro, Stuka Jr. vs Euforia, Shigeo Okumura, Vangelis
4) Mephisto vs Tetsuya Naito
5) Máscara Dorada, Místico, Volador Jr. vs Ephesto, Felino, Negro Casas

Maybe Naito gets the singles win this week to set up next week? Maybe the main event sets up a totally different fan appreciation match? Not sure.

IWRG (THU) 11/05 Arena Naucalapn
1) Mascara Magnifica vs Keshin Black
2) Bushi, Star Boy, Suicida vs Avisman, Maldito Jr., Samoth
3) Hijo de Pirata Morgan vs Oficial AK47, Pendulo, Barba Roja, Gringo Loco, Chico Che, El Hijo del Diablo, Zatura, Ultramán Jr., Arlequin Negro, Miss Gaviota, Capitán Muerte, Eragon, Menfis, Exodia, Cerebro Negro [ruleta de la muerte]

You’ve got me. Plenty of possibles. I’m hoping Arlequin *Negro* is a typo and not a new wrestler debuting in a mask because, but it’s IWRG. Zatura hasn’t been around since June. It’s the season to do a ton of apuesta matches, I guess.

CMLL (FRI) 11/06 Arena Mexico
1) Astro Boy & Delta vs Calígula & Méssala
2) Eléctrico, Mascarita Dorada, Pequeño Olímpico vs Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Violencia, Pierrothito
3) Hijo del Fantasma, La Máscara, Sagrado vs Dragon Rojo Jr., Misterioso II, Sangre Azteca
4) Mr. Niebla, Terrible, Texano Jr. vs Ray Mendoza Jr., Tetsuya Naito, Yujiro
5) Héctor Garza, Shocker, Val Venis vs Atlantis, Negro Casas, Último Guerrero

I remembered wrong; it was 11/06 they said Val would debut. Surprised they can get away with calling him Val Venis, but AAA got away with using all the DX stuff so who knows. Did Strong Man go home, or did he just get a couple of weeks off?

CMLL (SUN) 11/08 Arena Coliseo
1) Bengala & Principe vs Apocalipsis & Zayco
2) Diamante, Guerrero Maya Jr., Starman vs Artillero, Escorpion, Súper Comando
3) Flash, Metro, Rouge vs Arkangel de la Muerte, Skándalo, Virus
4) Blue Panther, Máximo, Toscano vs Naito, Sangre Azteca, Yujiro
5) Brazo de Plata, La Sombra, Volador Jr. vs Averno, Mephisto, Texano Jr.

More Porky. This is supposed to be the Arena Mexico show, but it’s not at Arena Mexico. Looks like they may be setting up a tag program here anyway.

Whoever booked the semimain is sadly unaware of No Limit disliking to team with Mexicans, I guess.

CMLL (SUN) 11/08 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Meteoro & Virgo vs In Memoria & Titanio
2) Magnum & Samurai vs Egipcio & Rafaga
3) Gallo, Neutrón, Stuka Jr. vs Euforia, Infierno, Leon Blanco
4) Atlantis, Mr. Niebla, Último Guerrero vs Héctor Garza, Shocker, Val Venis
5) Máscara Dorada vs Dragon Rojo Jr. [CMLL SL]

Thought they dropped this feud – I guess not. Try 2 for Dragon Rojo agianst those pesky bouncing champs.

IWRG (SUN) 11/08 Arena Naucalapn
1) Bracito de Platino & Octagoncito vs Mascarita Ano 2000 & Piratita Morgan
2) Flor Metalica vs La Diabólica
3) Exodia, Miss Gaviota, Ultramán Jr. vs El Hijo del Diablo, Gringo Loco, Tóxico
4) Mike Segura vs Dr. Cerebro [hair]
5) ?, Bobby Lee Jr., Olímpico vs Fuerza Guerrera, Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Pirata Morgan

Taped for TV. Which you can sort of tell by them bringing in lots of people and not filling the first three matches with students.

  1. I had no idea there was a Bracito de Platino. Is there a Super porky mini cause a mini of Los Brazos would rule?

Well New Japan brought Val Venis under that name so it doesn’t surprise me CMLL did it. What does surprise me is he’s a tecnico.

  2. Can they detain him at the border for trafficing in performance enhancing drugs? he’s hiding a huge amount in his veins after all.

  3. why isnt Val Venis going by Steele though? i’d say he’s much more well known by that name than by Val Venis in Mexico.

  4. @thecubsfan: You mean Val Venis’ current Baron Von Raschke look? He looked nothing like he did in WWE in his last tour with New Japan. Unless, he ‘worked out’ a lot before heading to Mexico.
