There’s like a 99% chance I’ve got a finish wrong here. For one, I’ve read the Super Fly/Laredo Kid description  over and over, and I don’t think they actually mention which guy won the match. This feels like a total filler taping anyway.

The top 3 are all Legion winning with help from other Legion members. For this week, at least, Oriental is part of the Legion (Japan!). After the main event, Konnan tried to recruit Mesias for the Legion yet again, and got turned down yet again. Fourth match continued X-Pac/Zorro.

Alex won clean in the D-Mex tournament, both guys hugging after. Not so much for the Air Force one, as Super Fly worked as rudo and refused to shake hands with Laredo after the match.

Clowns were at 265 on Wednesday, so maybe that’s 267-ish.

Next taping is Tuesday in Cuautla. Haven’t seen a lineup for it yet.

  1. Sounds like a “shitty” show. hehehehehehe

You know the more AAA/Konnan’s ego refuses to let go of this Juventud thing, the more it really seems like they know they’re guilty of something and trying to clear their conscience by doing silly things on television. You’d think building a Triplemania card would be more important than Konnan’s ego but as usual… nope.

  2. The art of reporting results in Mexico intrigues me as you get wrong results from the same show by promotions/media outlets and at times you don’t know what is actually right until you actually see the match firsthand.

For all I know, Super Fly did win that match but the way the recap sounded it sure sounded like he lost by the way he acted after the match.

  3. Well the stereotype is most Mexicans are lazy. The people reporting most Lucha results do nothing to try and break that stereotype.

My favorite is still when ESTO or Ovaciones – two very reputable papers – print results and say something along the lines of: “Valiente, Metro y otro luchador perdieron ante Virus, Euforia y Nosferatu.”

Can you imagine the New York Times saying: “The Devils took a 2-1 series lead by defeating the Hurricanes 3-1 tonight. Gionta, Madden and someone else scored for the Devils while someone replies for the Hurricanes.”

  4. @Rob: See, the thing is, they don’t even give you the 2-1 score most of the time. They’re so into telling the game story that they skip giving the score.

Ovaciones lately, when it’s not the main guy writing, has done a short table where one column is the winners and one column is losers, just like the soccer scores. That works perfectly.
