2008 AAA TV Chart
Projected Air Date (#868)
US: 12/28
Mexico: 01/17

As expected, Padrino was the mystery guy on the main event side. They’re pushing Konnan/Mesias and Abismo/Electro feuds. In the end, Konnan fouled Abismo, but Pepe Casas refused to count the pin. Konnan went after Pepe Casas, Abismo cradles him, and Pepe Casas quick counted three. Both the Dark Family and the Vipers ran out to attack the tecnicos, but the AAA wrestlers made the save.

Zorro controlled most of his match with Chessman, with Hijo de Tirantes helping Zorro along the way. When Chessman finally got control, Charly Manson came out to distract him. Chessman ended up on the outside, Zorro dived on him and got back in before the 20 count. Chessman did not (either selling the dive or more likely brawling with Charly.) This is somehow supposed to make Charly the tecnico and Chessman the rudo.

The Dark Family won thier match when they just moved out of the way of the tecnico dives and beat Porky. After the match, Electroshock came out to kill Super Fly again, but Abismo Negro made his return here to run Electro off and try to make friends with the tecnicos. They can recycle the Porky/Abismo vignettes! Very green.

KENTA indeed teamed with Extreme Tiger. The recap makes special note of his exchange with Teddy Hart. Xtreme Tiger took a bad bump and had to be helped out, and Nicho & Joe won yet again.

Tecnicos won by DQ when Black Abyss gave Gato Eveready martinete. Recap talks about how the rudo faction is beloved by the people for their tecnico abilities. I dunno.

Apaches won clean.

  1. How many bad bumps are they going to have in AAA as the results of ladders, before they finally cut down the number of ladder matches they promote? It seems there is a ladder match weekly, and someone ends up taking a bad bump.

Cubsfan, are there any reports of how much action KENTA actually saw in the match, or did they just talk about the KENTA/Teddy Hart “exchange”?

  2. @CJK: they just talked about the KENTA/Teddy battle as “interesting”. I don’t think there’s a coded message there.

  3. And just like a typical match in AAA, the participants stand around waiting for their next spot. That has always bothered me about AAA, the wrestlers just stand there waiting for their next spot and it looks awkward on television, Anyway, thank you Rob for that picture.

  4. Well these guys learn from watching CZW and IWA-MS youtube clips so…

Gotta love how Abismo Negro has no problem with Black Abyss being around now. Why should he have a problem with a guy who stole his name, outfit and finisher? It’s not like Octagon and Pentagon hated each other constantly…
