  1. Damn, Dorada was definitely trying to turn that somersault plancha into a rana which would have been awesome if it came off.

Great first caida, hope the rest doesn’t disappoint.

  2. Didn’t even know Lover_ice put his vids on Youtube. Well now I won’t have to go through the trouble of downloading several rs links :).

  3. Title match got progressively sloppier as it went on. Third fall seemed really short. Finish was outta nowhere. I was disapointed.

  4. That’s what I liked about the match, The finish came out of nowhere. Only thing that disappointed me was Pierroth not being his mini’s second.

  5. In case I forget to post this later, Arturo’s column says there’s a taping 10/10 in Queretaro. The rest is the usual.

  6. xejtv.com is showing boxing from ArMex right now. Looks like a big crowd.

Anything official on AAA in Europe?

10/10 is just less than two weeks away. Why is AAA withholding taping info?

  7. wow. they(boxing) took down the section of ramp that connects to the ring to add ringside seating.

  8. Love the design of SuperFly’s mask from MTY.

Wow, this AAA show(8/31,MTY) is really booked well. Great vignettes building up all the feuds. Evans needs a shirt.

  9. Haven’t heard from Chui in a bit but I can pretty much guarantee he was sitting at home watching CMLL today shaking his head and going “I knew it!” as Dos Jr. blew his big dive like he always seems to do. This guy is WWE material? Well I guess. He does have a good bodyslam, spinebuster and flying cross body press. Instant moveset!

  10. I was thinking of Dos when I went to FCW on Thursday, hoping he would debut. He has the height and look Vince wants. If you guys could pick one CMLL/Indy worker for the Smackdown roster, who would it be?

I don’t think Vince will end up taking anyone from Mexico to attract the Latinos on Smackdown. I think he’ll create his own star, or find a Latino in the US. Keep in mind, Rey Jr., is an American, not Mexican, so he’s not as hard to deal with.

I love the FCW shows though. Heck, you can walk right up to Black Magic and ask him what he thought of Panther losing his mask. Smiley seems very happy where he is.

  11. I’m thinking about starting a topic on byl, “AAA-Cada Vez Mejor” just to see what those guys say. They’re just so into CMLL and WWE.

Really, AAA is putting on decent TV shows, though it seems like there are organizational, and maybe financial problems.

  12. “If you guys could pick one CMLL/Indy worker for the Smackdown roster, who would it be?”

I don’t hate anyone that much.

    Actually wait.

    I’d send Leono.

“Smiley seems very happy where he is.”

    Best sentence ever.

Why does Vince even need Mexicans? Doesn’t the generic WWE wrestler machine at WWE headquarters have a ‘Hispanic’ option?

  13. Mexicans get all excited about “one of their own”. Sure, they like the anglos, but they want to be represented too.

Lawagnermania put up the minis title match from C3 just two hours ago.

  14. Well any time a Mexican gets excited about “one of their own” heading to good ol ‘America, let’s be sure to show them an .avi of Bobby Walker squashing La Parka and Jim Powers squashing Psicosis in less than 2 minutes.

  15. Jim Powers was awesome. Funny story. A few years ago, my friend told me that Jim Powers applied for work as a security guard at a NJ hospital, and listed “Vince McMahon” as a reference. Same friend is a cop who was on hand when Pedro Morales’ son was arrested for driving with a suspended license. Pedro’s son is like 6’7 legit, maybe taller, and we still can’t figure out how he never got in the business, since he’s made for WWE.

  16. Here’s something that will make people shake their head. I’m going to TNA in Lakeland tonight.

  17. @Tim: It was bad. About 600 in the building. And TNA does a lot of publicity. They did cable(RAW, IMPACT, newspaper, and radio) but it just didn’t draw.

  18. I don’t know why it would. If you wanted to see TNA, you could just drive about an hour or so to Orlando and see Impact every couple of weeks if you wanted.

  19. Well, Orlando is ok, but there’s no guarantee you’ll get in. It’s about another 40 miles east of Lakeland on the Interstate.

Most normal people aren’t going to take the chance, and then be turned away.

Are you thinking about going to TNA in Orlando? ROH? Smackdown?

  20. I don’t know why you would not go to TNA. It’s free. If you go to Smackdown, and I go, we have to meet.

  21. I’m as sure that there will be riots on election day that I was sure Blue Panther was going to lose his mask.

I watched the first hour of AAA on xej, and can’t believe how many cellphone commericals and weight loss pills advertise on AAA. Most of that stuff is PI or PSA junk that pays based on the number of people who call the 800 numbers.

I did see the ad for WWE’s debut next week, but it focused on the divas. Can’t wait to hear the commentary. I bet they won’t call one wrestling move. Not one.

Also saw the ad for AAA in Cd. Juarez. They called Kenzo “chino”. I guess bigotry does not only exist in the US.

  22. Of course they won’t call moves. It’s in WWE’s policy that they call as few moves as possible. You of all people should know that.

  23. For example, I don’t expect Televisa announcers to even call the “619”. That’s what I mean. It will be that bad.
