maybe Pimpi could be a little bit more deceptive

Faby Apache, La Jarochita, Pimpinela Escarlata vs Mamba, Mary Apache, Taya Valkyrie: Ok women’s match – kind of a by the numbers match to set up the title’s match. Weird finishing sequence of Taya powerbombing Faby for 2, getting up to complain about the count, and then just ducking Faby to set her up for the northern lights suplex and win. There was an extra move there. An entirely unnecessary run-in post match; even though the idea was to get heat for men beating women, the women were already beating the other women.

this looked painful for everyone

Aerostar, Australian Suicide, Bengala vs Daga, Steve Pain, Súper Fly: Good match despite some iffy moments. A much slower start than expected, but they picked up speed as they went along. Even thought they almost killed each other early, I’d really like to see Steve Pain versus Aerostar in a singles match after the rest of what they were able to do together. Suicide had a nice run of spots (though the moonsault into Pain’s cutter bit didn’t come across well – it wasn’t clear Pain had done something.) Super Fly looked good, got the important win, and acquired an evil leather jacket. Bengala didn’t bring much to the table for the first half of the match, completely froze on a Daga spot that should’ve been edited, worked three times as hard as usual for a stretch to make up for it, ran out of gas, and then botched a spot near the end of the run so badly they actually did edit it out. It’s not working out like how anyone would’ve thought. Important note: Jesus called a shooting star press “shooting star press”. I don’t know that’s ever happened before.

Aerostar can do a normal tope!

all around terrible

Angélico, Electroshock, Fénix vs Hijo del Fantasma, Máscara Año 2000 Jr., Pentagón Jr.: A lot of guys who don’t normally work together looking a lot like guys who don’t normally work together. Mascara and Electroshock were not very good with each other, spent a lot of time with each other. Fenix did his best on one leg but looked like he was having trouble standing – can’t imagine what he must have been feeling like when he wasn’t in front of the crowd (or what he’s doing to get out there.) Angelico did not have a good night, with his kicks looking off. Pentagon Jr. was easily the best guy in this match, was not in this match enough. I have this and the women’s match but as “ok”, but the women’s match was easily better than this. There was no follow up to the Socidead beating up Electroshock last week outside of it being shown at the top of the show, which kind of makes me wonder why the bothered to do it.

pentagon is the best
