Princesa Sugehit flipping fujiwara

Lluvia, Marcela, Princesa Sugheit vs Dalys, Princesa Blanca, Tiffany: two fall beatdown to set up the quick comeback, normal for this part of a feud but doesn’t lend itself to a good match or really getting an idea of how Sugheit will work as a tecnica. Still a little bit better than average for that, with Dalys and Tiffany better carrying most of the match than they have been off late. Not a lot here though.

Dragon’s been doing this for months and I’m still suprised

Marco Corleone, Titán, Valiente vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Ephesto, Mephisto: Another about 10 minute semimain, short due to En Busca de un Idolo’s length, but generally a fine enough match for the time. You don’t get to see much out of a lot of people in this sort of time, but everyone did what they came to do fine. Dragon Rojo is much better than he was a year ago. There doesn’t appear to be any particular plan for post-Avernos Ephesto and Mephisto, which is not a big surprise given how slowly CMLL does things.

legs were almost close to hooking around for a headscissors…

Atlantis, Máscara Dorada, Volador Jr. vs Gran Guerrero, Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero: Another Guerrero/Atlantis match to remind you to care about this match and to give the announcers a chance to recite all of Atlantis’ moves in a short time. This was even shorter than the other match. Ultimo Guerrero’s third fall plan appeared to be just not going with any of Atlantis move, then falling down when Atlantis is about to hit him. That was odd.Gran Guerrero tried taking tricky spots from Volador Jr. and Mascara Dorada in that fall. Gran Guerrero still needs a lot of work in that area. Kind of wonder what happenes to cause such a big edit if they lef that in. Mascara Dorada’s tornillo was tight.

Gran Guerrero struggles

Ultimo Guerrero is a jerk

your Cachorro tope of the week

Cachorro vs Hechicero in a En Busca de un Idolo match: Cachorro remains much better than he should be at his age. It’s not just him throwing his body into dangerous situations, though he does that as well, but his selling feels more dramatic than those in his age group. It looked like Hechicero was demolishing Cachorro for moments because Cachorro just looked demolished. I enjoyed Hechicero undoing the padding on the cable conncecting the turnbuckle to the post. Hechicero has to do things in a innovative and weird way, even when he cheats. Hechicero also showed off his agility here with the smooth springboard dropkick and fall thru the ropes to the floor, though I think he should bag the standing moonsault. Finish was well done.

he made this look far easier than it actually is

Star Jr. is tricky

Star Jr. vs Soberano Jr. in a En Busca de un Idolo match: This one felt more like both guys moving each other around to set up for spots, and hten ignoring what just happened to set up for more spots. Soberano follows up his tope to Star Jr.’s back to bring him in, then throws him right back out just to do another dive – and I think Soberano was meant to be the rudo here? Star Jr. hadn’t done much when he suddenly won, making the finish random. There were good highlight spots and this was the kind of match I would’ve figured when this competition started, but there are better ones to be found.

sometimes it just takes three superkicks
