maybe just a 90 degree splash instead of this

Gallo, Pegasso, Rey Cometa vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Kamaitachi, Shigeo Okumura: Build up trios to a Gallo/Arkangel match they quickly forgot about. Perhaps it’s back by the time you read this. The other guys were downshifted in to Guadalajara gear, so this was missible. I’m begging Pegasso to dump the 450 splash. It’s getting painful. He’s fine doing other spots. Some awkward movements in the third fall, when Rey Cometa was on a different page than Okumura and Kamaitachi.

Valiente vs Tritón, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Stuka Jr., Rey Cometa, Averno, Mephisto, Ephesto, Niebla Roja, Tiger, Puma in a CMLL’s Reyes del Aire Tournament match: a good cibernetico with a head crushing finish. They tried to make this come off as a big thing with the fireworks, the long finishing section and the big move at the end, but it’s also a win that hasn’t been mentioned since so it’s value is reduced. It was well worked and there weren’t too many problems with the match, but it didn’t push the limit as much as other year’s matches have. No one outside of Stuka really had a standout match; everyone was really solid and bits like Maya blocking Ephesto’s invincible cradle and Roja getting caught trying for the same finishing sequence twice was nice, but this wasn’t super memorable You had to look very closely for any sign this was Averno’s farewell (and even then, I could’ve been seeing things which weren’t there.)
