Azul/Ripper, Atlantis on (fake) Sin Caras, ChilangaMask

CMLL (MON) 04/28/2014 Arena Puebla [El Popular, Periodico Enfoque, Periodico Enfoque (fotos)]
1) Águila Egipcia, Black Tiger, Paris b Artillero, El Rebelde, Súper Comando
Tecnicos took 2/3.
2) Asturiano, Metálico, Sensei b Ares, Espíritu Maligno, Siki Ozama Jr.
Metalico’s first match since being hurt in the En Busca de un Idolo cibernetico. Tecnicos took 1/3, Asturiano beating Espiritu when he was too focused on beating up the man who took his hair.
3) Boby Zavala, Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora b Delta, Fuego, Guerrero Maya Jr.
Rudos took 1/3.
4) La Máscara b Rey Escorpión [lightning]
Campana. Mascara demanded a title match next week.
5) Diamante Azul, Marco Corleone, Rush DQ Negro Casas, Ripper, Shocker
Rush and Casas did their bit. Ripper pulled Azul’s mask for the DQ – they also seem to be feuding. Rush attacked Casas after the decision and Casas needed medical help.

Shocker was pulled from Friday’s lineup earlier in the day – Negro Casas will take his place – but wrestled this match with a taped shoulder. Maybe there’s a change of plans on Fridays? A hurt shoulder shouldn’t keep him from judging. Azul/Ripper gives Azul something to do for the first time in a great while.

Pierroth replaced Ephesto on Sunday. That’s a match with Triton, Stuka and Sagrado, no luchadors Pierroth can really work well with. I’m not entirely sure Pierroth can work well with anyone, but he’s worse with flying luchadors and Triton and Sagrado can be especially shaky flying fellows.

Someone in Oaxaca is promoting a show with Atlantis, Ultimo Guerrero and Sin Cara. Atlantis appeared in Oaxaca to explain that show is a fake. The CMLL guys are only working the Arena Pepe Cisinero shows locally, and Atlantis (and those promoters) figure the others are just going to put random people under the masks. This is all sort of normal, except it’s a bit unusual for Atlantis to go all the way out to Oaxaca just to denounce a card. It gets abnormal when Sin Cara is brought up:

Respecto a la supuesta presentación de “Sin Cara”, señaló que ya hay jurídicos del World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) ya que esto es un fraude; “lo que pasa es que anuncia a “Sin cara” directamente de la WWE, entonces eso es fraude por que Sin Cara sigue trabajando en Estados Unidos y el presentar alguien así implica un delito”.

Atlantis says the Sin Cara name is owned by WWE and works in the US, so anyone – anyone! – using the Sin Cara name in Mexico is a fraud. Maybe Atlantis isn’t aware of what else is going on (always possible), but that comes across as a shot at Mistico I/Sin Cara.

Edit: and Sin Cara did work in Oaxaca (as advertised), with Averno. (via SuperLuchas)

OI4K took the blame for missing the ChilangaMask show Sunday,   and hope to come to Mexico to make up for it some day. They had a bad personal situation, which definitely stinks for them and was out of ChilangaMask’s control. ChilangaMask is back in action with it’s western tour of shows this weekend.

Daga talks about taking over La Anarquia, saying he’s had two good years as a rudo and he earned this with his hard work (instead, of say, Eterno and Steve Pain just thinking Daga should be running things, I guess.) Daga says he left Los Perros del Mal on the best terms. Apolo Valdes points out true anarchists do not like the idea of leaders.

Hijo del Fishman took Skrash’s mask in a cage match on Sunday which also included Super Nova, Ultimo Guerrero and others. Skrash is Enrique Peña Rivera, from Nicolás Romero, trained by Chessman
