IWRG, Tercera Caida, AAA SLP, Juvi

IWRG (WED) 04/23/2014 Arena Naucalpan [The Gladiatores]
1) Látigo b Zurdog
2) Hip Hop Man & Kaling Black b Alfa & Omega
3) Dr. Cerebro & Golden Magic b Picudo Jr. & Ray Cruz
Ray Cruz (?) replaced Tony Casanova
4) Hijo de Máscara Año 2000 b Hijo de Pirata Morgan
Mascara asked for a shot at Pirata’s IWRG middleweight championship.
5) Hijo del Lizmark & Toscano DRAW Eterno & Pirata Morgan
Toscano & Lizmark took the first, Eterno & Pirata Morgan took the second, Toscano submitted Eterno, PIrata beat Toscano, and Lizmark & Pirata beat them.

There’s a Ray Cruz who wrestled in the 90s, and this guy looked like he could’ve been wrestling in the 80s.

Tercera Caida had interviews with Amapola, Los Traumas, Mr. Niebla and Herodes Jr., the last four hyping up their match at ChilangaMask. Herodes Jr. is so dead. There’s after the show interviews with the CMLL luchadors and the Traumas, plus condolences for Barney’s family.

AAA’s posted the missing match from San Luis Potosi: Electroshock, Psycho Clown, Alan Stone vs Texano Jr., Silver King, Chessman. This week’s Observer had an AAA source say they feel Psycho Clown is one more big feud away from being a new star. Rob’s already gotten in one sarcastic remark, though guys about to break thru don’t usually get their matches cut from television.

The WON also had this to say

After the match, Daga announced he was the new leader of the Anarquia group. The old leader, Juventud Guerrera, is gone again over the same issues of other guys complaining he’s too selfish in the ring.

I’m going to guess Juvi is back yet again by October 1st. You?

Rob has highlights of 02/04/14 CMLL.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

Dandy and Satanico talk up their match this Sunday.

Interview hyping Sunday’s MaskedMania show. And another one here! And audio interview here, where Kevin explains the headaches caused by Extreme Rising shows being canceled and uses a metaphor based on the Little Nemo. That’s almost worth the $10 already.

Brief Sin Cara interview hyping a 05/03 Arena Pavillon del Norte match. That’s the third match with Averno, I believe.

An article about the snacks you can by at Arena Coliseo Guadalajara mentions Valiente/Mephisto in passing.

Press conference for the SLP Oro Azul & Black Extreme mask match. That promotion (Curro) is working hard and promoting their match.

CMLL Gaceta explains where Barbaro Cavernario came from (besides the Stone Age) and Mascara Dorada says hello.

LA Park, holding his dogs on a leash and cutting a promo.

IWRG (SUN) 04/27/2014 Arena Naucalpan
1) Dragón Blanco & Sky Ángel vs Power Bull & Skull Metal
Skull Metal’s regular show debut.
2) Alfa & Omega vs Ciclon Black & Kaling Black
3) Ángel Del Amor, Látigo, Metaleon vs Anubis Black, Imposible, Picudo Jr.
4) Astro Rey Jr., Diva Salvaje, Dr. Cerebro vs Guerrero Mixtico, Hip Hop Man, Tony Rivera
5) Hijo De Dos Caras, Relámpago, Veneno vs Apolo Estrada, El Hijo del Diablo, Eterno

I know Veneno has powerful divine karate, but there’s no way the rudos should lose that main event. They should be disappointed in themselves if they can’t defeat that tecnico trio.

6) Demente Extreme vs Alex Romano, Jhonky, Dance Boy, Slayer Pack, Apocalipsis

8) Shane Strickland vs Jinzo, Septimo Dragon, Flamita, Kaleth, Pesadilla
9) Ángel o Demonio vs Shiryu Dragon, Crazy Boy, Roberto Paz
10) Ovett vs Violento Jack, Cíclope [DTU]
Ovett is champion

It was so weird for Shiryu Dragon to tell Super Libre how he thinks the extreme style is over done right before a DTU show was coming in. There is more variety to DTU than their has been at other points – match 3, 7, and 8 stick out as more about flips than tubes – but those are two straight bloody messes to end the show.

  1. I guess feuding with the champion of your own company is not big enough. SMH at AAA
