definitive Sexy Star gif

Drago, Faby Apache, Jennifer Blake vs Pentagón Jr., Sexy Star, Taya Valkyrie: Pentagon Jr. is super, both in carrying the match and carrying himself like a serial killer here. He was outstanding in this match, The layout of the match didn’t quite match where they were going; this was really a Jennifer Blake does awesome things (to Pentagon Jr.) showcase, and Jennifer Blake isn’t the one getting a title shot. It was still cool to see and Pentagon did destroy Drago in the end. Drago’s mist spot near the finish was obviously messed up, causing Tirantes to look more evil than harmed, but I’m not even sure why it needed to happen to begin with. Match felt shorter than the time, it just flew by.

headscissors into a spinning DDT!
powerbomb/one knee ot the back
tope DDT!
superkick goes well, camera switch can’t hide the next part

Fenix tornillo!

Crazy Boy, Fénix, Joe Lider vs Daga, Juventud Guerrera, Steve Pain: Just another Mexican Power match, where the thumb tacks are just a thing that happens in the middle of the match because they do thumbtacks every match. Finish took a lot longer than described; Eterno distracted Crazy Boy, but it was still a minute or more before they got to finish because they had to do more fire spots. (Also, the Eterno distraction took a while to happen itself, because Crazy Boy was more distracted by posing for photos. Only in México.) Lider didn’t actually attempt to do anything to Steve Pain except present himself to be powerbombed thru the fire table at the end. Fenix and Daga were near non entities in this match, and really just set ups so Niño Hamburguesa could do his dive by the end. Daga’s timing is not so good. They didn’t screw up any complicated spots this time, so that was nice.

full length monkey flip almost takes out Daga

what are you doing Cibernetico

Cibernético, Electroshock, Jack Evans, La Parka vs Chessman, el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Jeff Jarrett, Zorro: Tedious lame brawl that thankfully came to an end, and were mostly supposed to be the backdrop for future Reina de Reinas champion Karen Jarrett’s adventures. Chessman and Jack Evans appeared to be having their own match; I wish they could’ve just actually done that. Finish meant so little to me that I had to go back and rewind to remember who even won (Perro, via Cibernético throwing himself thru a table for some reason.) They got a lot of heat, because throwing things into the crowd usually does work as far as making people angry, but I don’t know they cared about the match all that much. The post match was more of a mess than the match itself. You’d have no idea something was supposed to happen at the end of the show unless you were following AAA otherwise; hopefully people stayed tuned.

some guy, I dunno
