Metalico tricky rana

Metálico & Starman vs Disturbio & Hijo del Signo: Sleepy Tuesday opener. Disturbio and Hijo del Signo is no Disturbio and Bobby Zavala. The Metálico/Signo feud never happened now. Tecnicos didn’t use the normal finishing holds, and it’s not as though those are hard moves they didn’t want to do on a Tuesday.

Triton trapped by Fiebre Amarilla

Hijo del Fantasma, Rey Cometa, Tritón vs Ishii, Namajague, Shigeo Okumura: Normal match which really picked up in the end. Namajague was really great; he and Cometa are working fantastic against each other lately and were really good here. It didn’t seem like there was any plan to do a singles feud between them based on the finish, but maybe the match itself inspired the idea. Ishii’s appearance did not seem to help any of his CMLL matches, so I hope there’s either a long ranging or secret plan at work here to make this not a total waste of my time.

Marco foiled!

Tag Team Tournment: It was a tournament. None of the first two rounds matches were worth remembering (with Volador & Psicosis vs Mistico & Valiente actually being disappointing all considered, even though it was less than 3 minutes.) The block final was the only thing which seemed like it might get time to develop, but it turned into a move taking turn exhibition (developing not at all!) and ended much sooner than I was expecting. This was worthless except for finding out the crowd is still very angry at La Sombra.

double mercedora

Euforia, Mephisto, Mr. Niebla vs Ángel de Oro, Shocker, Thunder: Thunder and Euforia feuded a lot here, apparently meaning nothing beyond this show, but Euforia defeating Thunder for his mask is the best possible outcome of Thunder. That’s also highly unlikely but trying to be positive. This was otherwise a nothing match to end a nothing show, though the double mecedora spot was cute.

a strong gust of wind knocks over Valiente
