CMLL bodybuilding contest, Cien Caras to retire again

advisement: Yes, I’m doing live results and a chat tomorrow. No, it’s probably not a great idea to stick around for it – there is no video/audio for AAA’s Heroes Inmortales, and there’s no video/audio for the top matches on CMLL’s show. But I’ll be around looking for Twitter and Facebook messages, so if you’re around and want to talk about the results and the matches we can see, I’ll be here. CMLL’s show kicks off first at 8:30 pm CT, so coverage will start around then.

Judging from Delta’s Twitter messages, the annual bodybuilding contest is set for November 20th. That’s the same day as the second (and home) Mexican national men’s futbol team playoff game, though the bodybuilding contest is usually early afternoon and the game will be at night (and the bodybuilding contest is usually free tickets for a small crowd.)

This Saturday’s Gimnasio del Valle (Pachuca, Hidalgo) show is being billed as Cien Caras’ retirement match. He’s a few. This is a tiny arena. He and his brothers worked there earlier this year, and they’ll face a Huracan Ramirez, Villano III and local Campesino del Valle.

This week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter says they know of no dates for the start of the AAA US/El Rey TV show, and no wrestlers have been contacted. El Rey is listing a start date of 12/15.

Brazo de Plata has dedicated Friday’s match to his brother. Brazo de Plata and Psycho Clown did phone interviews on this week’s TerceraCaida. Hijo del Anibal was in studio.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

Jeque versus Arkangel de la Muerte has been added to the upcoming ChilangaMask show.

Cronicas Y Leyendas looks back at Mano Negra losing his hair to Shu el Guerrero.

Okumura does not believe Maya & Delta should get a shot at the Coliseo Tag titles because they’ve already lost once (which Maya notes was by foul.)

Psycho Clown says there will be a new Mega champion at Heroes Inmortales while Monsther Clown talks more about the fake one.

OLX has a show on 11/03.

Hijo de Dr. Wagner & Hijo de LA Park team up on this weekend’s Arena Coliseo Monterrey show. That’ll end badly.

El Hijo del Santo celebrates El Hijo del Santo in his Record column.
