When they did the main event at TripleMania, they ran into a 15 minute time limit. I don’t that 25 minutes will be a different finish, but at least they’re giving us a warning (either of the finish or the length, depending on your perspective.)

Semimain could be for the tag titles, but isn’t listed that way. Not sure why there’s a bull terrier match this week specifically. Don’t ask me why Mari and Cinthia are on the wrong sides in their matches – maybe something happens between now and then?

Looks like the Monterrey taping is just one part of a tournament for the new Minis titles, not the endpoint. Perhaps there’s another first round match up – Mini Charly Manson, Jerrito Estrada, Mascara Sagrada 2007 haven’t been used yet, and they should be able to come up with one more.

A lot of this roster, especially the top guys, will be flying to California directly after this show for the Southern California shows the next day. Mexicana apparently does a direct flight to LA, so perhaps that’s how they’re going.

According to wikipedia, this building is a 2850 seat indoor arena.

  1. AAA.com has the Acapulco lineup/results up although you gotta insert the match missing from the write-up but is seen in the photos and headline.

Another one of these awful tapings with only one trios match and it’s with the ladies of all people!

The main event is going to be so shitty and I really wish Vamp would just pull his usual disapearing act already. It used to be okay when he was at least a draw but now he’s as useless to have aroudn as Nate Webb when he was brought in last February.

Queretaro deserves such a better lineup than what they’re getting.

  2. I’ve been saying(for years) these Mexican venues hold much less than reported. I’ve said it about Coliseo MTY, Queretaro, and a few others, and I know people fought me on it.

  3. Well, I can agree with that Triple L, but Arena Monterrey is actually the size of an NBA arena no?

  4. @k.D.b: Yeah. Venues with fixed seating are easier to figure out. I was referring to Arena Coliseo Monterrey which has been reported as having “7,000” for AAA tapings. It’s more like 4,500 with fans crammed into the upper level.

Hey, the website for the AAA promoter made a mistake. He lists the shows as being July 27 and 28 when it’s really July 26 and 27. Site also has link for radio ad and poster. Hope they update it soon.

  5. Was the guy on ByL AAA website thread who said “AAA is always one step ahead” serious?
