Peste Negra win in Aficion, Horuz on CMLL, Consejo vs Consejo

CMLL (TUE) 08/06/2013 Arena Aficion [Funcion Estelar]
1) Avispón & Sacristán del Diablo b Avatar & Ram
2) Chamuel b Gallito Feliz
Guapito replaced Gallito Feliz.
3) Antar, Ares, Cronos b Ares, Íkaro, Pantera I
First time back for these two teams; they faced a lot in the last couple years (back when not-yet-Fenix and not-yet-Pentagon Jr. were part of the trios; Ares & Pantera are in their spots.) Not sure I’ve got the correct Pantera. Money thrown in.
4) Arenita & Payaso Clon DQ Big Boy & X-Fly
X-Fly fould Arenita.
5) Mr. Niebla & Negro Casas b La Sombra & Niko
Rudos took 1/3, Niebla unmasking Sombra and pinning him.

CMLL must not be too concerned about Sombra’s ankle if they’re okay with him wrestling on 1/3rd full Arena Aficion shows. Brazo de Oro was there running a show, and there was a mention of him handling the local press poorly.

This week’s Tercera Caida included an interview with Horuz. He says he went to CMLL management repeatedly to ask what he work on to move up on cards, and the only suggestion he ever got was to improve his body. That does sound like CMLL. He’s going to be sticking with the Horuz name – Angel Blanco’s wife has indicated she does not want him to use the name – and hopes to become a star on the indy scene to return to CMLL with a bigger spot. That’s a reasonable plan, but it’s really tough to become a star on the indies; you need to be treated consistently as a top star in a promotion that has some visibility.

Even by the standards of odd AAA spot show lineups, Texano Jr. defending the AAA Mega championship against Mascara Ano 2000 Jr. is very strange.

AAA took part in a handwashing campaign and visited a children’s hospital.

Psicosis is unsure if he and Daga can get another shot at the tag team titles, but plans to embarrass Joe Lider and Crazy Boy in Queretaro regardless.

CMLL posted the offical lineup for Monday in Puebla. Despite Amapola and Marcela challenging for a title match next week, they’re really not on the show. Maybe they just made the challenge on their own.
