Bengala & Robin vs Cholo & Zayco: a usual opener with the going nowhere crew, outside of moonsaulting Cholo. Third fall felt like it stopped suddenly, but maybe they just didn’t do much to build to it stopping. I can never tell if Robin is hurt or odd.
Bam Bam, Fantasy, Shockercito vs Mercurio, Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Olímpico: felt like a previously scheduled minis match just given over to the build for the cage match. Match was fun while it lasted, especially in the last fall, and would like to see it again with more time and actual finishes. Bam Bam continues to look improved. Olímpico looked either hurt coming in or hurt by one of Fantasy’s moves.
Hombre Bala Jr., Sagrado, Tritón vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Hooligan, Skándalo: ordinary by the numbers unmemorable match, so much so that I realized I stopped writing this blue after “unmemorable” and now have to pad this out to fit the gifs a little better. I would like to see CMLL give the Tuareg something to do not because I want to see them more, but because this not giving them anything to do bit hasn’t worked out so interestingly so far.
Delta, La Máscara, Rey Cometa vs Niebla Roja, Pólvora, Puma: Good match, easily the one the most lively match of the ones so far on this show (though it would’ve been an better one with a crowd that was more awake at this point.) Rey Cometa and Puma are still really good against each other and Cometa seemed to have a few new things to try with him than last year. They did enough with Pólvora stealing a pin from Niebla Roja to acknowledge the Revolucionarios/Guerreros issues still exist without dwelling on it. Maybe someone can let Niebla Roja have a mask with a mouth in it? He’s earned it.
Diamante Azul, Rush, Thunder vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Rey Bucanero, Terrible: Rushed match that was probably for the best at being rushed. They got their point, Diamante Azul destroyed some people and Bucanero was mean to them, and everyone lived. Thunder and Dragon Rojo even had a good spot together, that’s really all you can ask for. There could’ve been more Terrible versus Rush, but it’s not like that won’t happen again.
