another good tackle!

LA Park

El Mesías vs Heavy Metal, La Parka, Parka Negra, Octagón, Pentagón Jr. in a AAA’s Rey de Reyes semifinal match: Ok, about the match you’d expect with this lineup and Pentagon Jr. treated as an additional guy. The Heavy Metal stretch had multiple screwed up moments. It seemed more like mishaps and not Metal being in bad shape, but it was noticeable. Parka Negra seems very not special one major show in. Turned into a CMLL match in the last few moments, with pinfalls and breaks and pinfalls. That part was good considering it was La Parka.

Villano IV injustice

LA Park vs Jack Evans, Villano IV, Psicosis, Drago, Chessman in a AAA’s Rey de Reyes semifinal match: Fine elimination match with a nice dive spot. Action was good all the way thru. It would’ve been better if some of the guys who left early got to stick around a little better and if the Chessman elimination was better, but otherwise okay. Villano IV was slower than everyone else but they worked thru it. It felt like they were trying for hardway blood on the punches at the end and never quite got it, but they worked hard for the brawl feeling that would’ve gone with it.

Don’t Trust LA Park!

Canek vs el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Cibernético, Electroshock, Silver King, Toscano in a AAA’s Rey de Reyes semifinal match: The least of three matches easily. Only a few minutes of match, a long break for the Perro/Cibernético brawl, and seconds of action after. Fans of Perro and Cibernético might have been displeased about how little they were actually in this match, but maybe the brawling (here and later) made up for it. Bizarre how Toscano, the guy who quit Consejo, came out to the Consejo music wearing Consejo tights and Silver King had no Consejo gear. This breakup started with Silver King accusing Toscano of not taking Consejo serious enough, but Silver King now looks like the guy who’d rather be out of it. Maybe the weirdness with Dr. Wagner is affecting his mood.

Mesias throws everything into a tope

Canek, El Mesías, LA Park in a AAA’s Rey de Reyes final match: Disappointing for a Mesias vs LA Park match (which are really high standards.) First couple minutes were good, but then it slowed down when it became focused on Canek, and weirdly set him up as the good guy which may have hurt the reaction once he was gone. LA Park and Mesías had a couple spots go very wrong, including one that left LA Park hurt. I’m not even sure if that’s was meant to be the finish or if they were going for a while longer, but it was clear it was the end for LA Park. He seems to have taken four weeks off, and probably really needed them.
