04/06-07 lucha times

box.

Daylight Savings Time ends this Sunday in Mexico. That means the CMLL Terra show goes back to being 6pm ET, and the Sunday Multimedios show moves up an hour as well. I have no idea what this does to the overnight version, because no one knows when that airs anymore. It should affect the IWRG programming, but one never knows what LAS is doing (listed start time is 10 pm this week, which is about 10 minutes into the main event) and I’m not sure TVC Deportes has video for a show this week.

As mentioned earlier on Twitter, the CMLL Saturday evening time in the US appears to be gone for the time being; it’s not on the schedule the next two weeks. The late night airing goes on, but it’s an ominous sign for it’s long term future.

This Thursday’s UTDN episode did not air tonight for reasons unexplained. It is on the schedule for Saturday and is back next week.

I’m not sure what’s going on with Guadalajara. It hasn’t aired in it’s timeslot the last few weeks. Apolo Dantes said the show was still on the air, but it’s not even on the channel’s schedule now. I’ll keep checking, but I’m removing it from the chart from now.

== AAA ==

AAA-Televisa: Nothing in particular was hyped at the end of Rey de Reyes. This was the Naucalpan taping, so maybe they go back to the Perro/Cibernetico feud and save Demon/Texano for next.

AAA-Fusion: Should be the start of the Arena Lopez Mateos taping, but unclear what’s going to air. (Also, unclear how the TVCD will put together this show if they’re going to WrestleMania – assuming they’re going to WM this year.)

== CMLL ==

Galavision/Televisa: More Shocker vs Aguila, more Tuareg.

FOX: Avernos vs Mascara, Sombra, Maximo, a Morphosis sighting.

52MX: Mistico does some stuff that definitely garners a reaction.

C3: Invasors vs Shocker, Angel de Oro and Valeinte.

TVC Deportes (Puebla): finals of the tournament, Namajague vs Stuka.

Terra: Dragon Rojo vs Sombra, definitely the match I’m looking forward to most this Sunday on any show anywhere. (Unless Zeuxis wins the cibernetico, then I may have to recalculate.)

== Other ==

IWRG-AYM Sports: Trauma I & Negro Navarro vs Dinamitas is real main event, but I don’t know if it’s going to air. It’s not listed as started until 10pm, and I don’t they’re airing on a two hour delay. Maybe last week’s episode airs in full? There’s also a mystery airing Saturday at 3:30 pm on AYM only, as well as a mystery show on CableSports (a Guadalajara version of AYM – stream here) at 1 AM Sunday Night/Monday Morning

IWRG-TVC Deportes: No idea. It’s listed on the schedule, but they have no tapings, and they will have no tapings next week either unless plans get changed. They’ve been using TV on a 10 day delay, but that show is AAA TV taping, and there’s no taping this week either. They have gone back and show matches taped but not previously aired in these situations, so that may happen again.

Noches de Coliseo: dunno.

  1. Last year, I remember Galavision messing around with CMLL this time of year.

    It must be a pain in the ass for Galavision to tape CMLL @ 5p(Miami time) and have it ready for 7p airing. That could be part of the problem but would not explain why it is not on next week.

    I think they showed CMLL at 10p for a few weeks last year until Mexico City pushed the clock ahead.

    4/14 shows a Galacinema movie marathon all day so it looks like they’re going through some changes all over the grid. I wish they would give CMLL the Sunday slot at 7p or 8p.

    The fact that Galavision is keeping CMLL on at 3a and not just totally doing away with it, is actually a good sign. I’m guessing they are cleaning up their grid and looking for a new slot for CMLL.

    UTDN. Marisela did say that they will be the network for Evolucion. I hope they realize that a sports network can’t be an effective partner because they will change their timeslot every four to eight weeks and fans will always have to search for the show.

  2. Another issue could be the Televisa rebranding of Galavision Mexico as Gala Tv. Big changes are announced for the weekday of course, but who knows what they’ll do with the weekend shows and it will affect CMLL and AAA.

  3. Thecubsfan, show on Guadalajara is good – i’m enjoyed it. But that’s OK,that You removed it – You’re already done a great posts with links – thanks to You I can watch Lucha and that’s a real big thing :) Soo, arigato, senpai :)
