Rudos won in straight falls when the tecnicos pressed Namajague over the top rope for a DQ.
3) Dragón Rojo Jr. & Niebla Roja b Rush & Terrible [natl pi, eightfinal]
Rush & Terrible turned one each other.

5) Atlantis & Último Guerrero b Pólvora & Valiente [natl pi, eightfinal]
6) Diamante Azul & Euforia b Ángel de Oro & Ephesto [natl pi, eightfinal]

7) Dragón Rojo Jr. & Niebla Roja b Blue Panther & Rey Escorpión [natl pi, quarterfinal]

Double Atlantida.
10) La Sombra, Máscara Dorada, Mistico DQ Averno, Mephisto, Negro Casas
Averno took Dorada’s mask and fouled Sombra.

All the non-tournament matches, including the opener, were taped for Fox Sports.

52MX was a rerun. Can’t think of the last time they’ve done that. It airs 3 more times, maybe they’ll fix it one of the times, but I’m glad ProWresBlog has been capturing the Terra show.

Video of part of the Mascara Dorada vs Polvora title match last week. As you might have assumed, Polvora did beat Relampago (Sinora) to keep his Welterweight title last Saturday.

Konnan mentioned AAA is sending a heavyweight, tag team, and woman to the TNA PPV taping next weekend.

Lucha Libre In Japan

03/09 NOAH: Super Crazy & Ricky Marvin [O] b Yoshinara Ogawa & Hitoshi Kumano [X]

The Mexitosos go for their five junior tag title defense against Genba Hirayanagi & Maybach Tanguchi Jr. on Sunday.

Lineups

CMLL (MON) 03/11/2013 Arena Puebla
1) Asturiano, Black Tiger, Dinámikoo vs Ares, Fuerza Chicana, King Jaguar
2) Metatrón, Pegasso, Sensei vs Canelo Casas, Guerrero Negro Jr., Nosferatu
Canelo Casas’ debut
3) Blue Panther, Hijo del Fantasma, Sagrado vs Misterioso Jr., Namajague, Shigeo Okumura
4) Máximo, Rush, Thunder vs Euforia, Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero
5) La Sombra vs Volador Jr.

Sombra and Volador tends to end up with cleaner finishes in Puebla and TVC Deportes does a better job of editing them, if we get capture it.

Canelo Casas has been wrestling for a few years – he was Bengala in indies before the current Bengala was given the character – and mostly been wrestling in Cuernavaca outside of a few CMLL spot shows appearances. (He was on that Reyes del Aire show last weekend, as a local.) The official story is Canelo Casas is a nephew of Negro, Felino and Heavy Metal (who started his career as Canelo Casas.) That may be true, but the official story for years was the exact same for Tiger & Puma.

IWRG (THU) 03/14/2013 Arena Naucalpan
1) Mr. Leo vs Imposible
2) Oro Negro, Silver King Jr., Violencia Jr. vs Black Terry, Eita, Tomahawk
Silver King school vs FILL
3) Centvrión, Dinamic Black, Trauma II vs Argenis, Drago, Fenix (AAA)
4) Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Trauma I vs Eterno, Máscara Año 2000, X-Fly
5) Cien Caras Jr. vs Psycho Clown [IWRG IC HEAVY]
Cien Caras Jr. is the champion going for his fifth defense, second straight versus Psycho Clown

Poster does not list a Junior or Hijo next to Mascara Ano 2000. I guess he’s picking up as many bookings as possible while he’s in town (which means you should expect to see him Friday night as well.)

Tomahawk is a nice guy to stick up for a school he’s only been at for about five minutes. I’m assuming that’s the same Oro Negro who was around CMLL for a similarly short time.

CMLL (FRI) 03/15/2013 Arena Mexico
***Dos Leyendas 2013: Salvador Lutteroth & Rayo de Jalisco***
1) Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Tritón vs Felino, Puma, Tiger
2) La Máscara, Máscara Dorada, Valiente vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
3) Estrellita vs Amapola [hair]
4) Rayo de Jalisco Jr., Rush, Shocker vs Mr. Niebla, Terrible, Universo 2000
returns for Rayo and Universo
5) La Sombra & Volador Jr. vs Atlantis & Último Guerrero [natl pi, final]
6) Rey Cometa & Stuka Jr. vs Namajague & Shigeo Okumura [mask, hair]
Stuka & Namajague put up their masks, Cometa & Okumura put up their hair

Card order is a bit of surprise. CMLL’s philosophy is midcard hair/mask matches go no higher than semimain, but maybe this is trying to make it seem like no midcard match.

Rush vs Universo 2000 is a good idea. They’re still pairing up Shocker and Mr. Niebla.

Dos Leyendas is one of four card shown on Japan’s SamuraiTV each year. The first two matches probably won’t be airing in North America, but may turn up months down the line.

No Thunder, which was announced a long time ago but somehow is still a surprise to people? I dunno. No Mistico, which could be read as Mistico Is Just A Guy, or they don’t want Mistico working segundas.

  1. @ProWresBlog: TNA may be the better choice with tonight’s lineup. Plus, this means I can catch up posting the videos to YouTube tonight!
