I haven’t seen full results from Saturday’s XMW show, but the big news item is a major injury to Astro de Plata. Plata had made it to the fringes of AAA’s roster, competing in the recent QPPLC for a full time AAA spot but already appearing on most of the Fusion taping and scheduled to appear on tonight’s show. Instead, he’s going to be out for an indeterminate and probably extended time after damaging his vertebrae on the show. You can see the injury here; it’s not a dive gone bad or a crazy risk, but a relatively simple Astro de Plata casadora into a stunner where Terremoto’s weight maybe just lands on Plata oddly and maybe Plata hits the mat hard with his tailbone. It’s clearly not a normal stunner bump, but it’s also not something that’d you expect to damage a spine. Plata clearly looses feeling in his legs immediately, it’s very sad. It’s unclear how many vertebrae were hurt; on twitter, Black Terry Jr. said at least one was fractured and it will be some time before Astro de Plata will be able to walk.

(BT Jr. also posted other clips from the show: Eita and Fly Star losing the script, Ricky Marvin already annoyed with fighting indy dudes, and Mascara Sagrada Jr. treated  after an injury.)

In another injury update, Namajague updated his Facebook on Saturday, which suggests he’s doing better. CMLL does not update injury situations, but Namajague and Rey Cometa (who was also left hurt) are not listed on a lineup until Friday.

CMLL (SUN) 02/03/2013 Arena Coliseo [@therealfredo, CMLL, Yahoo! Deportes]
1) Bengala & Höruz b Bobby Zavala & Herodes Jr.
Zavala replaced Zayco. Tecnicos took 2/3. Many difficulties with the Terra broadcast.
2) Magnus, Stigma, Super Halcón Jr. b Artillero, Súper Comando, Taurus
Tecnicos took 1/3. No noted problems with Magnus in the post match interview this time (though it was an all Gen11 team.)
3) Dalis la Caribeña, Goya Kong, Luna Mágica b La Comandante, La Seductora, Zeuxis
Poor match, with Dalis drawing most of the blame. Tecnicas took 1/3.
4) Diamante, Máscara Dorada, Super Porky b Ephesto, Misterioso Jr., Puma
Tecnicos took 1/3, Dorada (who looked good here) pinning Ephesto
5) Pólvora b Valiente [CMLL WELTER]
Polvora came in as champion. Negro Casas, who faces Valiente on Monday for his title, was seen in the crowd watching the match. Valiente submitted Polvora in the first, but got caught by Polvora’s feet on a moonsault in the second fall, and Polvora won again with the Inquisidor Storm in the third to keep the title. Second defense. Valiente was strechered out.
6) Kráneo, Mr. Águila, Psicosis b Marco Corleone, Máximo, Rush
World trios champs vs national trios champs in a non-title match. First two falls were ended by Mije – Kraneo threw Mije onto Marco for one pin, Marco threw Mije onto Kraneo for the second. Mije fouled Marco in the third, setting up a Psicosis pin for the win.

Invasors apparently made a title challenge after the match, though it doesn’t sound like it aired on Terra. Probably a couple weeks out.

CMLL (SUN) 02/03/2013 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [@acogdl]
1) Demonio Rojo & Thunder Boy b Azteca de Oro & Brillante
2) Mr. Trueno & Rey Trueno b El Alteño & El Ídolo
Alteno’s first match here since last April 1st. Truenos took 2/3, with Rey Trueno pinning Alteno after a distraction and a switch.
3) Black Metal, Gallo, Sky Kid b Exterminador, In Memoriam, Maléfico
Tecnicos took 1/3.
4) Leo b Sádico [OCCIDENTE WELTER]
Leo took 2/3 to win the vacant championship in what was said to be a good match. Leo picks up a big win after the big hair loss last year.
5) Averno, Mephisto, Volador Jr. b Atlantis, La Sombra, Titán
Volador Jr. replaced Ephesto (double booked in Coliseo.) Rudos took 1/3, with Mephisto beating Sombra in the last. Mephisto challenged Sombra to a title match.

This title match sounds like it might a little bit closer to happening.

AAA’s 2013 year really started tonight in Pachuca, where they were back to running a whole bunch of story on one show.  The usual separate post will be up tomorrow when they clear up full results to clear up some details, but the big show running storyline was people getting fired. After the opener (where Super Fly replaced Astro de Plata), Dorian and Konnan fired Atomic Boy for reasons not explained, then made an Argenis vs Texano match for reasons barely explained (Texano came out, Argenis challenged him, Texano defeated him quickly.) Later in the night, Konnan and Dorian came out to fire Pepe Casas. Joaquin Roldan stopped that, fired Konnan and Dorian, and all the rudos who were friends with Konnan and Dorian turned on them and ran them off, disbanding La Sociedad.

(Here, I’ve removed a paragraph because I’m going to give AAA the benefit of the doubt because the full recap and the TV often add details which aren’t mentioned on Twitter recaps. There has to be a big chunk of storyline missing for this to make any sense, so either it turns up tomorrow or I can redo the paragraph then. Everyone wins.)

In other news on the show, Octagon Jr. did not appear as scheduled and there’s no Teddy Hart show any of us can find. That makes two straight shows he’s missed since getting the character; I know Octagon Sr. hasn’t always been the reliable guy, but this is not the right way to carry on the gimmick! Drago took his place. Also, Jennifer Blake seems to have turned tecnico. That seems on the surface to be just as out of nowhere, but the women’s tecnica/ruda sides had been out of balance for a while and may be more so if Lolita is hurt ( she appeared to be at the last taping), so it was actually overdue for someone to turn. Judging  this clip, there was a dark match with Rocky Lobo, Lanzeloth, Lucky Boy, Flamita, Centviron and Eita (not Eita based on the pictures, someone else.)

Team FILL beat Team Konkreto in IWRG’s cage match tonight, Eterno taking Jhon Crazy’s hair. Hopefully more on that later today..

Ray Mendoza Jr.’s retirement show is set as 03/16 at Gimanasio Juan de la Barrera, and will benefit charities helping street children. That’s a week before the TxT return show, at the same venue TxT has usually run.

Fugitivo de Texas lost the Tijuana ruleta de la muerte, as expected. Bestia 666 won the WWO Cruiserweight championship over Hijo de Rey Misterio (II), and there’s video of that here.
