La Parka, Octagón, Octagon Jr. vs Parka Negra, Pentagon Jr., Silver King: the three guys looked fine in their debut, though this was just an okay match. Parka’s comedy at least seems fresh because he didn’t do it on TV for so long, but Octagon is just Octagon at this point. Parka Negra seemed okay but I’m thinking Parka Negra vs Parka probably won’t be LA Park vs La Parka, and they’d do well for themselves to keep LA Park and Parka Negra far apart. Octagon Jr. had more spots that looked good than those that didn’t, and even the ones that didn’t might have not entirely been his fault. Pentagon Jr. just seemed caught off guard by the one with him, and Silver might have been at fault at the end.

El Mesías vs Texano Jr. for the AAA World Heavyweight Championship: I thought this was okay bordering to good, which is probably lower the other people think. It didn’t come off as a MOTYC type match on TV, and that’s kind of the impression I got from those who saw it live. The match really didn’t feel like it got going until after Mesías finished getting his revenge chair shot, and then it jumped right to the crazy top rope move near falls; maybe we missed a chunk again like LA Park vs Dr. Wagner, because it felt like there should’ve been more here. It’s not quite ‘good for the time’ because if they really only had 12 minutes, it’d been better for them to not spend 6 of them finding an excuse to bleed, but maybe it was ‘good for what we saw’? I didn’t really have any problem with what we saw, I just wanted more. Mesías was crazy over with this crowd, the most into him they’ve been his entire year, and it’s the night he lost the title. Life is weird.
