DTU Fifth Anniversary, Dragon Rojo in FantasticaMania, Llaves & Candados calling it a year

Tonight’s Arena Naucalpan is a rather calm show in between more newsworthy shows. Main event is Angel, Electroshock, and Trauma I versus Junior Dinimitas Mascara Ano 2000 Jr., Cien Caras Jr. and Hijo de Mascara Ano 2000. The Angel rudo turn on the Traumas has been ignored since it happened, but we should know more about it today. In the semimain, the Comando Elite team up with the Cerberos and Trauma II.

Besides the AAA Fusion and AAA TV lineup, all I’ve got left is news from Tercera Caida:

Halloween’s broken ribs will cause him to miss Friday’s AAA TV card in Puebla. Gran Apache will replace him, like Halloween replaced Gran Apache back at Heroes Inmoratles. It’s still listed as a mixed tag team title match.

DTU announced their fifth anniversary show will be five shows in five states
11/07: Arena Queretaro
11/08: Salon La Carreta, San Luis Potosi – though there’s a poster up for 11/20 on their Facebook.
11/09: Arena Roberto Paz, Guadalajara
11/11: Arena Aficion
11/15: Arena Lopez Matoes

DTU is ambitious.

Dragon Rojo and Rey Escorpion,  the guests for the show, said they’d soon have a surprise third and a name for their trio. Dragon Rojo mentioned in passing that he’d be defending his title (or titles) during FantasticaMania.

In other news, Llaves & Candados sent out a press release saying they’d see the fans again in 2013. That’s a very quiet way of canceling the Perros vs Garza show scheduled for 11/25 (as well as a December show they were hinting at.)

Yesterday was the 60th anniversary of El Santo vs Black Shadow, the most important match in the history of lucha libre. It set the mold for every mask match that came after, and it’s success caused EMLL promoters to build Arena Mexico to allow for larger gates.

Arena Coliseo Guadalajara announced a Eros & Leo vs Infierno & In Memoriam mask/hair vs mask/hair apuesta match for next Sunday. In Memoriam lost his mask a couple months ago, and Leo lost his hair just back in July.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

Lineup

IWRG FILL (TUE) 11/13/2012 Arena Naucalpan
1) Mercenario, Principe Infernal, Skull Metal vs Caballero Cid, Driger, Oscurio
2) Alas de Acero, Atomic Star, Extreme Boy vs Infierno Kid, Radical, Súper Black
3) Fly Star, Seiya, Serpiente de Oro vs Blue Monsther, Power Bull, Ranchero
4) Araña de Plata, Dragón Celestial, Galaxy vs Fulgore, Guerrero Mistico, Matrix Jr.
5) Alan Extreme, Centvrión, Dinamic Black, Eita, Eterno, Imposible, Saruman, Violencia Jr. vs Boykot, Flehyzeer, Halcon Diabolico, Jhon Crazy, Kiwby, Mr. Leo, Rey Espacial, Rey Tabu [Copa HIgher Power]
FILL trainees vs Gimnasio Fuerza Konkreto (Fuerza Guerrera)

There are other mispellings on the poster, so hopefully no one intends to spell their name “Flehyzeer”. This show probably will air because of the AAA TV taping.

CMLL (TUE) 11/13/2012 Arena Mexico
1) Metatrón & Oro Jr. vs Espanto Jr. & Herodes Jr.
2) Astral, Bam Bam, Pequeño Halcón vs Demus 3:16, Pequeño Olímpico, Pequeño Warrior
3) Fuego, Stuka Jr., Triton vs Hijo del Signo, Shigeo Okumura, Vangelis
4) Blue Panther, Máscara Dorada, Valiente vs Niebla Roja, Pólvora, Rey Escorpión
5) Ángel de Oro vs Negro Casas [lightning]
6) Atlantis & Diamante Azul vs Tama Tonga & Terrible [CMLL TAG]
Atlantis & Diamante Azul are champions

Negro Casas said he thought they should do the next Angel de Oro/Negro Casas match on a Friday. Poor Negro Casas.

Bam Bam is back! Again! Maybe!

indy (MON) 11/19/2012 Arena Queretaro
1) Brujo Maya, Rey Maya, Thor vs Crazzy Latino, Full Back, Onix
2) Neurosis & Star Tron vs Brillante Azul & Silver Drago
3) Oficial 911, Oficial AK47, Oficial Fierro vs Fuego Latino & Pequeno Otomi
probably not a 3 on 2, but specific Oficials not specified
4) Cerebro Negro & Dr. Cerebro vs Trauma I & Trauma I
5) Canek & Canek Jr. vs Dr. Wagner Jr. & Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr.

A Canek vs Wagner rematch. If Wagner’s falling out with AAA means Canek is in the ring more often, then AAA really needs to make good with Wagner for the sake of humanity.

  1. I can’t believe how bad Fusion is. And it looks like after one taping, those pharmaceutical sponsors may be gone. Corona is already on the canvas.

They still don’t hype the taping dates and locations for Fusion. AAA really should find a way to put a little bit of money into Naucalpan or another venue and tape weekly and make it look good for television.

The two match format sucks. Announcing is really good.

Neza crowd looks small. Maybe 300. Sad.
