Sagrado vs Rey Escorpión in a lightning match : Unmemorable match. Most everything was executed fine but there was no particular story to it. Usual bit of turn taking, I guess. Sagrado is the midcard La Mascara, he’s getting a lot of chances to have exciting matches and not really having them.
Fuego, Rey Cometa, Stuka Jr. vs Namajague, Puma King, Shigeo Okumura : Another good set up match between the teams. They’ve got some really good near falls to use for the mask match considering neither guy really has an important finish of their own. The reinera bit looks good however they do it, Puma’s deadlift powerbomb looked extra impressive here, and everything involving the casita means they have to show one of those before it’s over. A lot of possibilities make it more dramatic than the guys who have to get to their one finish before it can be over.
Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas vs Ángel de Oro, Titán, Valiente : Really good build to Angel de Oro/Negro Casas. Angel de Oro shows much more emotional and fire than he did months ago; that doesn’t seem like something you’d normally pick up in Japan. Everyone else played their roles well, and I want to see a match where Titan has to try and figure out Mr. Niebla.
