Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Misterioso Jr. in a lightning match: This came off like the last four minutes of a much fifteen minute match, definitely missing the eleven minute section before to build everything up. It was even more than that, because the 4.5 minutes this match actually went was so hurried in trying to pack in spots – included three dives from Maya, who doesn’t normally do it that way but is the way of the CMLL midcard técnico – that there wasn’t much time in between to do much to set up the next spot. This was not bad but a clear sign these two could have a much better match if given the chance.
Diamante, Diamante Azul, Valiente vs Kráneo, Olímpico, Psicosis: rudos weren’t really into it, their section of the match dragged, and the other técnicos aren’t enough to overcome that sort of situation. Valiente looked really sharp and Azul didn’t kill Psicosis on the German suplex, so there were some positives.
Ángel de Oro, La Máscara, La Sombra vs Felino, Negro Casas, Rey Escorpión: picked up in the third fall, but the first two seemed to drag. Angel de Oro and Negro played off each other and off what they expect form the other guys well, I’m more interested in this singles match than I would’ve figured. Negro is completely in crazy old man mode.
