Enrique Vera retirement, Negro Casas holds off Angel de Oro, Fiebre Amarillo vs Los Bombardero

LMV (SAT) 09/01/2012 Arena López Mateos [Estrellas del RingThe Gladiatores]
***Enrique Vera retirement show***
1) Estrellita & Sahori b Esther Moreno & Rossy Moreno
Esterllia and Sahori replaced Lluvia and La Hiedra.
2) Super Astro b Volador IHuracan Ramirez Jr.PanteraSuper BrazoBrazo de PlatinoNegro NavarroCoco RojoEl Hijo del DiabloMosco de la Merced,Sangre ChicanaEl Hijo de Aníbal [COPA LUCAHS 2000]
Hijo de Anibal, Mosco de le Merced and Brazo de Platino replaced Espectro II, Pirata Morgan, and Oriental. Super Astro defeated Volador to win the copa.
3) Súper Muñeco, Súper Pinocho, Súper Ratón DQ Black Terry, Scorpio Jr., Shu el Guerrero [WWA TRIOS]
Rudos attacked the tecnicos before they could do the photo. Tecnicos rallied to win 2/3, then challenged the Temerarios to a cage match on 10/06. They hyped it as side vs side rather than one person losing.
4) Sangre Chicana Jr. L Fishman Jr.Pulpo
Sangre Chicana Jr. made Pulpo bleed. Fishman took advantage of their feuding to win and escape the match. Sangre was too arrogant, and Pulpo beat him with the hold of the same name. Sangre Chicana is Andres Duran, 10 years a wrestler and 25 years old.
5) Dos Caras Sr., Enrique Vera, Mil Mascaras b Canek, El Hijo del Solitario, Villano III
Hijo del Solitario replaced Killer and was accompanied by Miss Janeth. Tecnicos took 2/3, Mil pinning Solitario and Dos on Canek. Despite the loss, Solitario challenged Mil for a shot at his title, and Mil accepted. No date said.

As much as this was billed as the end of Enrique Vera, it also looks like the trial balloon for a new legends promotion. They set up matches that this crowd might want to see, but we’ll see if they come back again in a month.

With Lluvia out and Dark Angel’s status unclear at best, it would not be a surprise to see Sahori turn back up in CMLL. It’s either that or debut someone else, and the people they’ve debuted lately have not looked ready. (What happened to Kiara?)

CMLL (SUN) 09/02/2012 Arena Mexico [CMLL, CMLL on Terra]
1) Camorra & Ramstein b Freesbe & Höruz
rudos took 2/3. Horuz nearly hurt imself in the third fall before Ramstein gave him the Michinkou Driver. Camorra submitted Freesbe.
2) Aereo, Fantasy, Pequeño Halcón b Mercurio, Pequeño Violencia, Pequeño Warrior
Ref was Pompin. Pequeno Universo replaced Pequeno Violencia. Tecnicos took 1/3. Fantasy and Mercurio continue to feud. Mercurio pinned Fantasy in the first. Other tecnicos submitted other rudos in the second. Fantasy snuck in a foul on Mercurio in the third, then sat on him and talked at Mercurio after the match, occasionally pasuing to slap Mercurio in the face and rip his mask.
3) Delta, Fuego, Stuka Jr. b Namajague, Raziel, Virus
Referee was Bestia Negra. Raziel replaced Okumura. Rudos took 2/3. Delta defeated Virus with a reinera in the first. Delta did not look good in the extended mat section. Virus submitted Fuego and Namajague frog splashed Stuka in the second. In the third, Virus pinned Fuego, Delta dove onto Raziel, and Stuka had Namajague beat with the splash, but Okumura turned up in street clothes to distract Stuka and Namajague cradled him for the win. Okumura challenged Stuka & Fuego for an Arena Coliseo Tag Team title match. Fuego accepted and the two teams briefly brawled.
4) Estrellita b Lady Apache [lightning]
Ref was Pompin. Estrellita won via Star Cross after getting her feet up on a Lady Apache top rope splash in 8:44. Crowd did not like this outcome.
5) Blue Panther, Brazo de Plata, La Sombra b Ephesto, Euforia, Tiger
Referee is Terror Chino. Tecnicos took 2/3. Brazo de Plata replaced Diamante Azul, Tiger replaced Polvora. Monito was with the tecnicos. Sombra cradled Ephesto in the first. Rudos powerbombed Panther to take the second. Sombra landed the double moonsault on Euforia and Blue Panther put Tiger in the nudo lagunero for the win.
6) Negro Casas b Ángel de Oro [NWA WELTER]
Negro Casas, 76 kg, came in as the champ with Zacarias as second. Angel de Oro, 78 kg, had Stuka as his second. Commissioner was Jorge. Referee was Tigre Hispano. Angel de Oro took the first with the mecedora after a strong tope. Negro took the second with a casita. Both nearly got their big moves in the third, but Negro pulled out the casita for the win. Oro wouldn’t let the commission give the belt back, insisting on doing it himself. Both guys gave each other credit, but Negro’s still the champ.

No video problems this week. Iffy sound at times, but better than it has been in recent weeks.

Four subs on the night. An exceedingly high amount, though no one had to work twice, so they knew about some of them (or got people to fill in on last minute notice.) Okumura did not appear to be injured, but must’ve been if he was there and not wrestling. That match went long, which suggested the semimain absences were people running late from another show.

AAA did post Part 2 of TripleMania XX on their website, though they waited until after it aired to do it this time around. This part features the cage match, the Lider/Nicho hair match, and Perro/Mesias for the title. The Consejo/Psycho match was shown at the end of part 1 as something that would air on part 2, but is obviously pushed back for the final week.
