No full results from Puebla today. Volador did win the main event over Mr. Niebla by DQ, with the now usual mask match challenges. Mistico lost his first match, looked bad, and faced a divided reaction.

CMLL says Nitro broke his kneecap in two places (!) and Electrico broke one bone and displaced another in his left leg. CMLL has no idea when Nitro will return, and I still haven’t read about how it happened. Electrico broke his leg moonsaulting out of the ring onto Demus when Electrico’s left leg hit a barricade on the way down. The mini will be out 3 months, which means November. (Note the CMLL Gaceta version of the press release says Loco Max has retired as a wrestler; Kaiser Sports corrects to say Loco is now an independent, which is what Loco Max said in this week’s SuperLuchas.)

Terrible seems much more focused on facing Rush in a hair match than the Universal tournament. Terrible notes a lot of people have challenged him to a hair match, but when it comes down to signing the contract, they get nervous and back down. Terrible hopes Rush signs, so he can beat him, humiliate him in the center of the ring, and add him to the many names he’s beat. Rush has apparently be calling himself an old school luchador, which Terrible disagrees with – it’s not in Rush’s blood like it is in his.

This is a good place to talk about Wednesday’s press conference, since I’ll probably hold off posting until it takes place. The Anniversary show date and main event should be set. I still believe they’ve got multiple feuds going (Terrible/Rush, Volador/Niebla, whatever is going on with the Guerreros) because they plan on announcing a cage match, and I would not be surprised if that cage match continued to change a bit before it takes place. We’re also expecting the formal introduction of Generacion 2012, something to build up Friday’s Universal tournament, some promotion for the NJPW guys coming in (and the CMLL guys going out) and maybe some clarification on what’s going on with the Guerreros.

Hype for Tuesday show is the new tag champs teaming up with Titan, facing Niebla Roja, Polvora and Mr. Niebla. That CMLL previews notes Atlantis has abandoned former Reyes del Atlantida Delta and Guerrero Maya since losing the titles. In some promotions, this would be a signal they were getting a new trio partner (on Wednesday!) but that’s not CMLL. Atlantis, man who’s been five time tag champion with five different partners, just switches partners a lot.

Lineups

CMLL (SUN) 08/26/2012 Arena Coliseo
1) Robin & Soberano Jr. vs Apocalipsis & Cholo
2) Eléctrico, Fantasy, Último Dragoncito vs Demus 3:16, Mercurio, Pequeño Olímpico
3) Fuego, Rey Cometa, Stuka Jr. vs Namajague, Puma King, Shigeo Okumura
4) Sagrado vs Rey Escorpión [lightning]
5) Blue Panther, Hijo del Fantasma, Super Porky vs Averno, Ephesto, Niebla Roja
6) Ángel de Oro, Titán, Valiente vs Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas

Negro Casas is giving Angel de Oro that title shot eventually. Probably next Sunday, since that’s supposed to be the usual Sunday Arena Mexico show.

Electrico is listed as working the segunda, obviously not working. CMLL needs an internal mailing list!

Every time Fuego & Stuka teamed in Arena Coliseo, it set up an Arena Coliseo Tag Team title defense – until this past June, where they really should’ve faced Sangre Azteca & Polvora except the whole bit with Sangre Azteca’s rudo turn was dropped (for being too good? because of his France tour? because Polvora was in Gran Alternativa?) Since Stuka and Namajague just wrestled a couple weeks ago, hopefully this gets them back on track.

CMLL (SUN) 08/26/2012 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) El Tapatío & El Yaky vs Demonio Rojo & Gran Kenut
2) Sky Kid & Virgo vs Demonio Maya & Magnum
3) Black Metal vs Acertijo, Mr. Trueno, Metatrón, Smaker, Esfinge, Infierno, Halcon de Plata, Espectrum, In Memoriam
4) La Máscara & Mistico vs Euforia & Mephisto

They’ve given up on the 12:30pm starts and have moved back 6pm. (It was 6:15pm previously.) The time change lasted three weeks, one more than the two week run of Friday shows.

Guadalajara has run Ciberneticos on Tuesdays two straight weeks, so here’s one on Sunday for no particular reason. I suspect someone – either day – is running a cage match here too in September.

CMLL (TUE) 08/28/2012 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) El Divino & Javier Cruz vs Sádico & Thunder Boy
2) Leo & Soberano Jr. vs Èvola & Ráfaga
3) Dark Angel, Lluvia, Marcela vs Amapola, La Comandante, Princesa Blanca
4) Smaker vs Raziel [OCCIDENTE MIDDLE]
5) Atlantis & Shocker vs Terrible & Último Guerrero

CMLL.com posted that lineup this morning, then took it down when someone remembered what day it is. The problem is Raziel is listed in the final, and still has yet to actually win tonight’s cibernetico to get into the title match. Unless we’ve all ruined it for him, which would suck because Raziel is awesome (though Smaker’s probably winning.)

Dark Angel is not working that match. People in CMLL know she’s not working that match, though evidently not whoever puts the lineups together. Will she still be listed when the lineup is posted again?
