taped 2012-07-17 @ Arena Mexico
Metatrón & Soberano Jr. vs Camorra & Zayco: Match was OK, maybe a little less than that. Rudos were less interesting than usual when in control of the match and Metatron is Metatron. Soberano has really graceful looking moonsaults and back flips, though he could’ve used much better aim in the first fall
Aereo, Astral, Eléctrico vs Demus 3:16, Pequeño Nitro, Pierrothito: Aereo looked leagues better here than just two days before. Maybe the mask bugged him? Maybe he just has more belief after going thru a singles match? He looked more confident and smoother on all his spots, like a guy with some actual promise compared to some random rookie. He still needs a better name than Aereo, especially as an unmasked guy. Call him Kid Barragan or something. This was a good minis match, with everyone doing his part.
Hombre Bala Jr., Super Halcon Jr., Triton vs Hijo del Signo, Namajague, Shigeo Okumura: match had it’s moments. Triton was really spectacular and didn’t get enough time. Hombre Bala has interesting spots but not yet the idea of when to use them. (If he was just debuting now, he’d be fine.) Super Halcón remains Super Halcón. Rudo trio still works good together.
Felino, Puma King, Tiger vs Blue Panther, Hijo del Fantasma, Rey Cometa: good match that felt three minutes shorter than it needed to be. We only got hints of what a fun team Puma and Tiger used to be. We got no explanation of why Felino, Tiger and Puma are all friends again, but I guess we’ll have to watch the show to find that out.
Diamante, La Máscara, Marco Corleone vs Euforia, Rey Bucanero, Rey Escórpion: Really good build to next week. Rey Escorpion brings out a much more fired up and fighting La Máscara than the usual Mascara feuds. Rey Escorpion does that with a lot of people, but it really freshens up what could be just another Mascara match. Even without the match next week, this was a hot match.
