CIMA had some fun

recap

taped 2012-06-01 @ Auditorio Benito Juárez de Veracruz

dives

Aerostar, Fenix, Sugi San vs Argos, Semental, Toscano: This was awesome and easily one of the best matches of the year. The técnicos are great on their own, but the rudos was beyond here. Argos is so much better as a rudo, and found the perfect mix of doing his high spots and working for the técnicos here. Semental remains awesome, but gets to do a lot more in AAA then he ever got to in CMLL. Toscano, most of all, is totally reborn – from a guy walking thru the same routine in every match to a guy making matches great. This was stupendous.

Semental is the best

Extreme Tiger, Joe Lider, Juventud Guerrera vs CIMA, Halloween, Psicosis: Halloween used a Fuerza punt and a piledriver to beat Tiger, and still pulled the tights. That is a man dedicated to doing illegal things. Good match, though the long stretch of Lider masochism made this less interesting than the one prior. CIMA fit in fine even if the crowd had no idea who he was, and Juvi continues to look good in his latest return.

this kind of match

Cibernético, Electroshock, LA Park vs Chessman, el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Héctor Garza: Finish was ludicrous, trying to server to many masters and ending up with something that didn’t make a lick of sense. Chair shots and interference fine, a bat is just crossing the line. Match was a mess. You really can’t do a match where someone is stapled in head and hit with a chair countless times, and then expect someone to care about a guy being hit in the head once by a chair in the next match, even if is a non-wrestler. Or when you’re doing comedy spots with Taya. The Roldan stuff was perversely entertaining, though they need to not to expose themselves whenever they do whatever they do at TripleMania.

  1. Good to hear you enjoyed the match. Talk about a change of roles. Semental came in originally just to base Argos and now they are teaming!

I told you all Toscano is good but he was miscast in CMLL! Another in a line of wasted wrestlers working Arena Mexico.

    That match was epic.
