Ángel Azteca Jr., Hombre Bala Jr., Pegasso vs Bronco, Hooligan, Nitro: Nothing special; a bit weird layout with the técnicos not really getting anything from the start of the beatdown to the end of the match, but that probably saved Bala from ramming his head into something. Nitro’s finisher of late appears to be rolling thru a ‘rana, which at least is a natural set up for a reversal in these matchups.
Blue Panther, Máximo, Super Porky vs Ephesto, Terrible, Vangelis: Máximo seems like he’s lost weight. The match was mostly Terrible vs Panther, and all of that stuff was neat with Panther playing up the submission stuff more than his recent brawling. That’d be a fun random title match at some point; Panther might get Terrible’s best match out of him.
Máscara Dorada, Prince Devitt, Shocker vs Averno, Último Guerrero, Volador Jr.: Fun match! Really heated – the crowd was into it, even if they weren’t actually into the side they were meant to be in. Volador and Devitt came off as really fierce, especially in the first couple of falls. I can believe those two people don’t like each other. Shocker and Ultimo Guerrero was fun like old times; they got me to really want to see their singles match next week, even though I should already know I won’t actually like it much. Averno & Dorada didn’t get in as much but were good with what they did. Definitely a match worth checking out.
